Don't judge a book by its cover. Found you by accident, at first I thought damn this dudes hillbilly as fk lol. But I watched, and learned some shit. You have some freakn ingenious ideas man! Keep up the good work!!
@@Johnny-sv5fc I have thought about it . But I used pvc years ago for tomatoe stacks and in the middle of the summer when it got up in the 90s the weight of the tomato plant combined with the heat of the sun made em lay right down on the ground flat . And I don't want people watching to spend that kinda money if it won't work you know . I have also thought about using metal wire conduit. It would be strong , light , cheap and it won't rust . But everyone can't weld . I'm still thinking on the subject though
Brilliant ideas! I'm a new boat owner (1970 Sea Nymph) and came across all the ideas on your channel. I just might be able to save thousands of dollars keeping an eye on your channel. Thank you! Keep it up...
Great hacks. I am going to pass them along to a friend who is looking to make something to hold his fishing rods. I designed pontoons for his kayak from 4 inch pvc that connected to 1 1/4 pvc that fit inside a lenth of 1 1/2 pvc that is mounted on his kayak. He is disabled with a broken back and cannot swim but loves to fish. The pontoons give him stability on the water.
Here is one I did. 6in 7 1/2ft. (Depending on rod length) a end cap, a locking type cap on other end . I left mine white because of sun heat. Mounted to the roof rack of my teardrop camper and now I can leave my fishing poles in one piece and the reels on. No damage ,no tangle with other gear. Good show, I like easy hacks. Thanks for sharing.
around 2 decades ago i had a 6 month trip in & around the gulf of mexico on a USN ship. our speed was slow enough that we could troll for fish. so before we left norfolk,va. i built 2 outriggers out of 1 inch pvc pipe. used 2 8 foot pieces for the outrigger portion. made a 8 inch T at the base for on the ship. put a 90 degree joint on the over the water end. drilled 2 holes in the over water end. one was to lift the outrigger in & out for use. the second line was a closed loop thru a pulley as the clip release. worked beautifully.
Another fine collection of useful tips and tools for makin' the life of a fisherman/woman easier. PVC is a pretty cool medium to be working in, and you are a master!! Look forward to seein' ya on the next build!!
Sir - I found your channel recently while looking for some fishing stuff videos. I recently moved to a lake and took up fishing ;-) . I've done my fair share of 5 gallon bucket and PVC hacks for tools in the garage and what not but your use for fishing is awesome! Gonna steal the toaster over to flatten some PVC this weekend, don't tell my wife. BTW and if it helps...if you ever need to bend a longer piece of PVC, if you heat up sand in the oven, put a cap on one end of the PVC and pour the hot sand into the pipe, let it heat up a bit and you can bend the PVC pipe to the the curve you want. Love your channel, love your style, keep up the good work. I tip my hat to you.
You have some great idea's. Everything you make turns out pritty dang awesome. Even if I wasn't in to what you're doing, I'd be happy to just listen to you talking. keep up the great work.
Right on you have the best ideas. And you show great details. So I made butt end rod holders out of 2.5 inch pvc, threaded rod and some tie wire. Could stab them in the ground and keep the pole off the ground and at a good angle that you can pretty much adjust
I've got to say that hack for the rod carrier is EXACTLY what I've been looking for for so long.. my cheap ass just refused to pay those extravagant prices. I appreciate you and your channel that I just subscribed to! Can't wait to see more
I don’t know if you’ve ever covered this, but I came up with this watching your bank fishing video. If you cut one end off a piece of PVC at a sharp angle, you can drive it into the ground like a stake and you have a cheap rod holder. If you want to get more elaborate and make it more versatile for dock fishing, make a base for it from PVC. Don’t glue the sections together and you can break it down for convenient transport. To make it more stable fill it with water or sand and water.
Man you must be a bazzilionaire or a lottery winner! 😎🤙 You have great ideas and useful tips while working in a very, very nice garage with all the bells and whistle‘s. Helping us regular folks is a mighty good deed sir! 👍
I'm not rich by any means . I'm just old lol . I paid my house off after 25 years then refinanced it and bought my building . Actually the metal buildings are about half the price of a stick built building . When I say I like saving money,,,,I really mean it lol . I appreciate you watching

awesome ideas! also fantastic work! genius! new subscriber here from Canada, gotta love the woods and water and who doesn't love saving some money? love it!
That magnet rod rack is a good idea for trucks to where you can keep your rods along the side of the inside of the bed leaving plenty of bed space for a kayak or what ever.
Something you could try: when splitting your pvc pipe lengthwise, you could do it on a table saw with a panel blade, with the rip fence adjusted to half the pipe diameter. Makes for a straighter cut, for less waisted material, and cleaner finished projects.
I am planning to use the magnetic rod holder idea to make removeable rear corner markers for my boat trailer. I just got it and had trouble backing it up my as I couldn't see it until too late and had to try again until some help arrived. Now I have a solution to my need, Thank You.
I have a twist for the pvc bucket hack. Get you a cooler on wheels, take the lid off, fill it with pvc like the bucket and boom mobile rod holder on wheels. Thanks for the other ideas too with pvc!!!
