    Describes a fearful avoidant. I had a taste of heaven then dumped twice… broke me down in an indescribably way, messed up mentally, pain and anxiety on a level I have never experienced in my life. Learn the red flags.

      I dated a fearful avoidant girl in the past and never again. Very charismatic, understanding and emotionally available in the beginning. I thought I hit the jackpot of a lifetime which should've been a red flag. After 2 months into it, she became more cold, started lying, easily angered and distant. It then became a rollercoaster ride of a lifetime! Before I knew it, found out she's been cheating on me after 4 months of dating. Dumped her and never looked back.

    Came off a 5 year hiatus from dating and she came out of nowhere and completely pulled me in. It felt so good, but i was ignorant to attachment theory. It was a hard lesson, but one I needed to really connect the dots about who I am and who I'm attracted to. Its what lead me here to this channel. You guys have tought me so much. Thank you!

    This one felt so relatable. It turned out to be one of the most hurtful experiences I had, which left me not trusting myself and others.

    This happened to me... I never felt anything like it in my life... instant connection. Same humor. My intellectual equal. Similar life stories. Both charasmatic. It moved extremely quickly, and I didn't see the red flags. Had I known attachment theory, I would have been able to see she was a fearful avoidant. I'm secure. When she started to pull away, I became anxious. I didn't need her in my life, but I wanted her more than anything in my life.
    Now, she's gone... I got out of a marriage of 7 years before I met her and this loss hurt more than the divorce.... insane....

    I had to dump my severely avoidant boyfriend last night. It broke my heart to make that final decision because I love him so much, but I just couldn’t handle the closed off behavior anymore. The relationship was very one sided. He has a facade that makes him seem emotionless, but I know inside he has this huge hurricane of emotions that he refuses to talk about. It’s tormenting him but he doesn’t want help, it really sucks. The more I tried to help him, the more he pushed me away. I’m so sad that it had to end, but above everything I can’t help but be so angry at him for not changing to make our relationship work. Like doesn’t he love me enough to try harder? I’m so bummed out right now but I’m trying so hard to not break no contact but I can’t help but feel guilty, like was there anything else I could’ve done? Was I too pushy? UGH. I genuinely hate this and pray he gets help soon because I’m going to miss him so much.

      I could have written this myself, about my last relationship. I also broke things off for the same reasons. I question whether I was too pushy in trying to help or trying to communicate. But after some time has passed I know that I wasn't being pushy. If he wanted our relationship to work he could've simply tried. Or he could have communicated that. But even when I ended things and told him why, he didn't deny anything I said, didn't tell me I was wrong, he just agreed. So I'm sorry. But time does help you see things more clearly. When they care, they put in the effort

    I see this pattern by myself, I am charismatic myself and want a charismatic guy. But all of them that I meet are avoidant, with the typical behavior you described. Feel like I am an exception. Pity I am attracted to charismatic people, how can I stop it?

    Hey coaches! I have a question, you warn us on dating people with personality disorders. Are they not dateable? I believe that they deserve love too! My borderline ex was the best relationship of my life until she dumped me out of the blue. But I still think she is an amazing person worthy of love.

    • @rwentfordable
      @rwentfordable 4 місяці тому

      Only if they're on medication. I was dumped by a borderline by email with no real reason, nearly 2 years later I'm still blocked even though I never begged or pleaded. Like avoidants, leave them to their misery, only they can fix themselves.
