Dark Cloud 2 (NTSC-U) Glitch - Enabling Debug Mode With Damage Storage

- It's been a while. The rage issues I talked about in my update comment on my previous video have improved and I finally returned to glitch hunting back in November 2023. 4 months later I found a faster way to enable debug mode by combining Closetowar's Damage Storage glitch with Using Anything as Equipment and Item Menu Overflow, so hopefully this makes up for the long wait.
The original method required recruiting Adel and opening the item menu over 1000 times. This new method can be performed after obtaining the first geostone and only requires opening the item menu 76 times! The only somewhat tricky part is that at least on the PS5, it requires ending a help video almost frame perfectly. I had a bit of a hard time explaining parts of the glitch, hopefully the explanation I gave in the video is understandable. I still haven't replaced my PS2, so I'm not able to test this on there, but I'll update the description once I or someone else verifies whether it works on there or not. The next goal will be to find a setup that works in Chapter 1, it might be asking for a lot, but if there's a glitch that might be capable of it, this is it.

Hi! I wanted to share a glitch for Dark Cloud that I've never seen anyone else post before.
It's something I figured out by messing around years ago. I showed it off while streaming and a viewer mentioned you by name and that you may be interested in it.
I call it the "Fat Toanie" glitch

Happy you're back, I always love your videos. As much as I love more Dark Cloud content tho, do you have any plans for if/when you run out of content? I personally would be extremely interested to see what you can do with other classic ps2 rpg games like Rogue Galaxy or Dragon Quest 8.
Chances are I would try out Dragon Quest 8. I have Rogue Galaxy as well, but I never got into that game.
@pokemonfan4000 Rogue Galaxy is canceled Dark Cloud 3, hence my curiosity, but I admit when I played through it as an adult, I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of it. But considering it's most likely made on the same game engine Dark Cloud and Dragon Quest 8 uses, it prolly has some junky stuff.

Nice to see you back! I know that you're mostly researching glitches and all related stuff but the question I wanted to ask for a long time is about fishing. You posted you record Kaji and Nonky vids but what were you records for other species? I saw that you had Baku Bakus in your inventory in your Nonky record vid and iirc Bobos and Hama Hama in your Kaji record vids. DC2 fishing is on a big rise lately so I want to gather the most info possible on all the records for fish FP and cm values.
