Very nice. I will have to try going in multiple directions like you did the next time I use it. I just recently started making some wood rat swimbaits that take a good bit of time to make. The past two I have done have had some patches that I missed or have little dimples. I paint it on as well with a pretty thick brush and put it in the sun for a bit since I dont have a light setup yet. I was thinking I need to make a lure turner but maybe not
cool video cool setup, but i thought part of uv deal was to dunk it and then put in box like assembly line....i see you brush it...is that a preference?
If I did volume for sales maybe UV, it maybe a bit ruff one handed to make this work for me, but I’m sure I could figure out something. Epoxy is a much longer and hazardous process for the bait, I get bugs attracting to my epoxy, why I don’t know, that’s why I don’t paint much in summer, darn nat bugs!
@@rosinlover7106 I placed a light at the opposite end of the shop ( about 25’) otherwise dark in the shop, bugs should have been attracted to the light, no, to the epoxy!
What is that lure, I like the thin body and flat sides. My wife has this UV light thing she puts her hand in to dry certain nail polishes, I wonder if that would work to cure this stuff?
I recently tried the East Coast Resin/Epoxy to clearcoat some lures. Problem is, the next day i went to clean off the hook rings and the epoxy seems to be very brittle.... any idea what could cause that?
@@customlurepainter I just did another batch of 6, this time I was more careful with the 1 to 1 ratio, and I added some glitter to the epoxy... Will give it 2 days and see how it turns out.
I use uv resin, but every bait I have done come out splotchy looking like the resin isnt on parts of the bait… any tips on how to get it completely smooth
Thanks a lot for this video. It cleared up some questions I have had. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you

great video, may have to try UV
This is my next upgrade. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the support
Fantastic video, short, clear, and to the point. I just bought some blanks of amazon and I can't wait to try my hand at painting and UV coating.
Thank you
Great video yeah the UV is great stuff only thing I do different is I dip my cranks and take a heat gun over them but I brush my swimbaits
Thanks great tip
I like that. I been using epoxy and been looking at this and the KBS. I do not do alot of volume, mainly paint for me.
It’s a nice product
I have been using a women’s nail Hansen er for the uv. Sure wish I could make a box like yours but I just don’t understand electrical stuff.
Lol I’m definitely not the do it yourself guy, luckily I figured it out just put 2 light, 1 light bar at bottom and it works great

I would rather brush on, less waste
Would love to show you my uv resin box setup

@@markoharoldoronearmedpoohb7816 i see , those bugs can be a real pain in the ass
I mist mine with alcohol after brushing to help from brush marks or tiny bubbles
Thank you for the tip
Could you tell me what kind of lamps did you use for for box.
I got my on Amazon 100watt 256nm

The lure is a Sonic Side, I don’t think UV for nails will be strong enough to get the results you need.

I’m not familiar with East Coast Resin/ Epoxy, don’t know why it’s brittle

@@The1234bonecollector be careful what you clean airbrush with, sounds like chemical reaction
@@customlurepainter what cleaner do u recommend?
@@The1234bonecollector I just use 4011 and hot water
Do you happen to have a link for it?
I’m not really good at this link stuff, I will work on it for you
Do you always brush it on instead of dipping?
Yes, dipping you will waste a lot of materials
thanks@@customlurepainter
Clean Armour UV works much better as a 1 component UVResin.
Thanks for the tip
@kentuckyken last i bought was 99 it will do hundreds of baits
