- First off, if you aren’t following JACK MARTIN, you need to. He is a genius with grey transformations. I’ve done a few myself with his formulations and they turned out amazing. You can check them out on my Instagram @kristi.at.the.cottage
For this client I did a partial BABYLIGHTS, this helps with minimal grow out.
Find a toner that helps match their natural grey/ silver to tone them.
Let clients know they will warm back up but can come back for a glossing service to cool back down.
It may take a few services to achieve a blended color depending on what they are coming in with.
This client is maintaining so the service is pretty quick and easy.
This, by far, is one of the best, most natural looking grey hair blending videos!😊
Oh wow! Thank you so much for the compliment!
I would love to get my hair colored three times a year very manageable. I love your video! Tamara
I think it is better looking when the result is not too ashy a bit of warmth actually make it shiny. Beautiful
Excellent job! Very natural looking and you blended it remarkably well.
This is perfect. I’ve been watching so many videos and this is what I want!!!
Thank you so much for this video!!! Trying to do this for my mom :) 💖
omg - you deserve more recognition for this art work - wow - i WISH YOU WERE IN THE UK!
Yes, I would visit you in a heartbeat. My hair guy finds this whole concept of grey blending so challenging that it makes me wanna cry every time I go for a top up.
Beautifully done! Thank you!
Love this!!!!
It came out beautiful!
Lovely and enjoying watching stunning hair Kristi from UK 🇬🇧 x
Love it I want to do that to my hair very lovely!
Absolutely gorgeous, Kristi!! Love your videos!! 💖
Hello! Thank you so much Joan!
This was beautiful. Most of the videos I've watched blending grays the hair always comes out some shade of pink.
Love your video! Thanks so much! ☺
So happy i found your channel love ur work
that makes me so happy to know! thank you so much for watching!
You are so talented. Wow. Just gorgeous.
Stunning
Beautiful work. I would like to try grey blending but I don't like ashy tones on me. Is there a way to do something similar but using warm tones?
very pretty and the client's hair is gorgeous and healthy looking
Thank you so much!
Beautiful!
Her hair out absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!
Do you have a video for grey blending a client with very dark hair naturally? I love your work!
Love this! My natural hair is about a level 3 or 4 and I wonder if this method works best for ladies who are already higher levels 🤔 ?
Love it
Gorgeous!
Great job lady 😊
Great video and finally someone is making videos on this. Can you do a video on what you would do for someone who is more grey especially in the crown area? I'm about 70 percent grey in the crown (the donut) with a dark underneath and and a dark blond patch in front (of course) and grey at the temples. I would like to work with my grey, but it seems impossible. Working with grey can make women feel as though other's think that they don't take care of their appearance. I also considered going very light or all over. Low lights always turn very brassy after about 3 weeks on me which is frustrating. :-(
If I get a client in for that video, I will keep it in mind!
Hi I m looking a bit grey on top and through most of my hair I get soft light brown through but think if not fighting the gray what would you recommend
Nice!!
Her hair is gorgeous! I am starting to get grays and they look so odd because they are a different texture and lay in weird directions. If I could blend them with the rest of my hair, it would look a lot better
This was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
So beautiful and blended. I don’t see greys! I need u Kristi to do my hair but I live in Texas!! :/
Thank you! Yes, it blends perfectly! Also, I know it's far but Wa is beautiful in the summer 😂😂♥️♥️
How would I make an appointment?
I like be this. I do have a question??? Why did you start in the front? I’m a former hairstylist and I know the front of my hair would fry before the back was processed
Love this strategy! Do you think it could work for Asian hair being close to Level 2, or is the hair just too dark to look ok?
I have this same question! Have you found any videos on this?
Hi Kristi, where can i go make a hair appointment with you? You rock girl love your work!
Thank you!
Thank you for watching. And love your name!
@@hairbykristijennings6648 I have purple conditioner in my hair as we "speak"!
:D
Love this strategy! Do you think it could work for Asian hair being close to Level 2, or is the hair just too dark to look ok? Any amount of lightening makes me so brassy😖
My natural hair is level 3 with 50% silver and added highlights. It looks blended and great. Hope your hairdresser uses dark blonde toners on you and not 9, 10 level so that grabs better and lasts longer on ur dark hair.
This is gorgeous. One of the best.
Are you in FL? Please tell me you are.
Thank you! But sorry! Across the country in wa state!
She has gorgeous hair
I agree! 😍😍😍
The video is awesome and I have decided to stop coloring my hair. I have about 50 % grey and I would like this color as it grows out. So what exactly where the products you used so I can show my beautician? Thanks
At 5:30 minutes roughly, I go over the formulation. You could also send the video to her so she has an idea.
Thank you
How would you do this with very dark brown/black hair?
I’d like to know too. I have dark brown hair with natural “money pieces” that I’d like to put in some baby highlights to match
HOW TO ADD DIMENTION ON ALL WHITE HAIR? TO MAKE IT MORE PLATINUM?
I’m not sure what you mean because platinum hair is white hair
How about a video about low lights for silver white short hair?
Yes! I will keep that in mind if I get a client in for that service!
Did u use a waver to style the hair. Very pretty.
A larger barrel curling iron
When you tone it, does the grey hair take to it in the same way the highlighted parts do?
I wish more hairdressers understood this type of look (unless I'm picking the wrong ones!). Looks great btw, I love it :)
The grey hair doesn't tone at all generally. Doing extremely fine babylights just helps blend with the grey vs getting rid of the grey that way there's no grow out line
@@hairbykristijennings6648 thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it :) . I asked my hairdresser for the same thing but ended up with blonde hair with a tint of green(!) I wasn't sure if it was the greys picking up the toner in a weird way or something.
You did a great job.. You need cloning! All the work I've seen from you looks amazing. Thanks again x
Thank you, and oh no! Sometimes if the hair is too white you need to add some warmth to the formulation to prevent grabbing too grey/ashy/green etc..... hopefully should wash out within a few washes
Thats what I do enhance the beauty dont cover it up!
yes! so much better than fighting it!
I LOVE YOUR DO! BUT MY HAIR IS ALL WHITE!
Not where but were
What state and city r u in
The only problem with this is that grey dyes fade fast, then you will be all blond.
Yes but because we're doing such fine weaves, you don't notice the blonde when it grows out.. it blends with the grey.
what state/town are you in?
Wa state, an hour north of Seattle
@@hairbykristijennings6648 A little far I am on the East Coast! My hair is turning white most of white is on the top half of the head. My natural hair is a light warm brown. Right now it's all virgin hair. However now my top half of my hair looks much lighter than the natural hair. I was wondering if a balayage with two colors in it a dark golden brown and maybe a dark strawberry blond sounds like it would work? I have cool skin tones very pale skin with freckles. I don't want to go more than two shades lighter as I want my hair to stay in nice condition. The whites are super fragile and seem to be getting broken so easily it's very frustrating watching my hair breaking. So that is my concern with coloring it - maybe it's too much for the hair... urgh. I do want it to grow out with out harsh hair lines nice and soft. OR would FOILAYAGE be better for me? I am one that won't go more than once a year for color. Also as I said my hair won't tolerate it.
Dying hair isn’t a ‘fight’. I have natural blonde hair but have dyed it all sorts of colours. I would never let it go grey cos I’ve dyed it grey before and it just doesn’t suit me, like lime green doesn’t suit me. I’m sick to death of these grey hair nazis. Let people go what colour they want it’s THEIR hair STOP making a huge song and dance to make others especially women ‘embrace’ their grey. Hair is just a makeup. It’s just hair. Like you change clothes… hair is hair. And honestly it’s rare anyone suits grey, especially older people.
