Wow, this one was full of culinary first for me. Cheese in coffee, liver mush which I’ve never heard of but I’m intrigued, fish and chips 😅, and mountain pie. I need to try them all. I think the liver mush will be hard to find here in the Northwest. I laughed at all of the camp stools your backpack crew had. They’re great and a necessity when we get older. I first saw one used when my buddy George carried on when he did the last 70 miles of the PCT on his 70th birthday. Another fun video from Shug and Hickory.

Amazing, I lived in Enoree in 1958-1960, my Dad was a doctor there, then moved to Woodruff to continue his practice. My grandfather in Woodruff might have known your grandfather since you and I are about the same age. SJ Workman was his name, a pretty large peach farmer at the time. My mom, she is 88 and lives in his house in Woodruff. Small world.

Sorry, I can't stop. The inerdly goodnessness of liver mush? How does that go the morning after? Free range liver mush. Free the Glutens!!! I suggest not passing up any poop urges at our ages. This goes hand in hand with never waste an erection or trust a fart. That is just me though, and I do not have the benefit of walking all day hence forcing the liver mush on down the digestive tract The sardines in the tail end of the chips bag looked like a good idea at the moment, but I'm glad I'm not making the long hour road trip with the Green Man, Yellow man fighting the pooping urges all the way home. You guys make your livings restoring people in my opinion. One in body, the other in spirit you two wizards walk on healing as you go. You two could send out an SOS from anywhere in the nation and if you had the time to wait and watch your Y/T page would load up with locals wanting to help I bet cha. That first site you showed in the Birkhead is my go to with the kids. Just the right distance for them. Has a descent fire pit. If you explore further down the hill from the site there is a great opening near Hannah's creek; it is not easy to find because the trail, if you can call it that, is fairly overgrown and appears to be seldom used. Been there twice, both times arriving in the dark and couldn't find my way down to the creek. Had to wait till daylight to find it.
Enjoyed the video as always. Really neat seeing a video of yours in Uwharrie. I learned how to backpack in the Birkhead Wilderness Area with my uncle and his sons and it's now my go to spot when I take my two 5 year olds out.
When you mentioned Sea Level , you instantly took me back 45 years . Good Times !!! I didn't know anyone else who had their albums . Thanks for the memories . Back to the video, you guys must have cast iron stomachs !! My belly hurts just watching Ohhhhh

Now I know why there is not a evil woods entity needed . The MK has a split personality , same , same , Jekyll & Hyde . Be safe out there Mr. E . & watch ur 6 . Speaking dukes . This 68 Y.O about 5 yrs ago bought the cheapest toilet seat ( plastic) I could find at Wally . Cut everything off of it , including the hinge section . Drilled as many holes as I could in the remaining seat to make it as light as possible and still have strength . Drilled 4 holes for screws in the back end and some spaced towards the front . Have MANY mounting options for the sides/ front . Use Kroger ( Mi.) Biodegradable trash bags draped over the seat . These bags are guaranteed to dissolve underground in 3 weeks :D Always have my Silky pocketboy ( would have anyway ) and 8 long drywall screws and a small hex head screwdriver . No more squatting in the bush for this old man !! The seat , screwdriver & screws weight about 10 oz . Carry it in a LW black bag on the outside of my pack & nobody knows what it is . When I first took & used it in the LVG my two sons laughed . But I almost ran out of trash bags because they used it also . So now we all carry the Bio bags and have used that seat in the Whites , LVG , Pictured Rocks , GSM , part of the CDT & many X's here in Michigan . almost any fallen log will support the back when screwed down and we cut TWO legs for up front . Stacked rocks in Colorado & other places in the Alpine where trees weren't available . Never leave home W/O it :D You had me on the Egg shell mushroom ! Oh , we also carry the foot pumped shower by Nemo . It only wts about a lb . Great to have showers after afew days in !! We all carry Frogg togg Ponchos to make expedited shower curtain and crapper area's :D All this for about 2 lbs :D Nice to see another one with you , Hickory and the MK ... bg

I caught the "sleeping giant at Tweetie Railroad" reference. I went there as a kid in 60's and 70's. It's not far from my home in Pilot Mtn. NC. I loved Tweetsie but was scared of the sleeping giant.
The Maple King wields a Sassafrass Sceptre? 🤪 That wild mushroom stroganoff sounds delicious. Your coffee cheese...not so much. It's just weird enough I think I may have to try it, though.
Seeing so many ULA packs with matching stools makes me think Shug has a larger influence than he's admitting. Of course great gear sells itself, but an obvious pattern developed there. I'm going to have to give a small chunk of sharp cheese a try. I love plain black coffee, and only add coconut oil to the first cup for health reasons, but really look forward to the clean second cup. But now I'm serious curious about what cheese does in the drowning in the black abyss.
Shug, A true friend makes sure your liver mush is perfectly centered on your bread. I was afraid something like this was going to happen with the Maple King. You should at least have some bear spray. I have watched most of your vids is it me imagining things but Hickery never seems to be around when the Maple King shows up.

Seeing so many ULA packs with matching stools makes me think Shug has a larger influence than he's admitting. Of course great gear sells itself, but an obvious pattern developed there.
I'm going to have to give a small chunk of sharp cheese a try. I love plain black coffee, and only add coconut oil to the first cup for health reasons, but really look forward to the clean second cup. But now I'm serious curious about what cheese does in the drowning in the black abyss.
