Shugs has everything. Merry melody, desserts, crazy ramblings, sensible information & probably monkey butt from all that walking! Total admiration(I’m not kidding)!
Hey Shug, my thanks to you for talking me into trying hammock camping. Because of you I stitched one together and a tarp to boot and have never looked back. They work great on boats too. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome woods traipsin'. (say that 3 times fast :) I really dug the wild flower video. Your red squirrel friend needed more air time. I've decided what I like about you the most Shug, is your ability to find enjoyment in the little things. The smells, the flowers, even the bugs and fungi's. Breakfast from the hammock and all the fine cuisine that you bring along. You make the most out of it all. And for that I thank yee. You are truly a positive inspiration. While most are moanin' and groanin' you remain curious and childlike which is the road to happiness. Traipse on, my virtual friend.
thanks, Shug for doing your thing and putting the good vibes out here for the rest of us to enjoy! your attitude, songs, diddles, jokes, insights and knowledge are much appreciated! WHOOOO BUDDY!
Hey, just sitting in my hammock watching this latest video. It’s raining, I have my tarp set up...it’s just wonderful. My wife and I got up early (EARLY) and did the yard work, then helped a friend move (to a third floor apt) and now I’m in my hammock in the rain and just getting to relax. Hammocks are a beautiful thing.
Always a 'gift' from you to all your followers..... 58 degrees....sounds like heaven, and no bugs. I hate the hot temps and bugs....I'm a 60 degree man.....I must get out soon, doctor's orders...need to drop some weight and just walk more... Thanks for sharing, a true blessing....
Your uploads are always really entertaining , you can't help but be happy when watching . Liking your spirit Shug . Take Care . Until the next time . Peace , out .
Enjoyed it all Shug, thanks for sharing. 50 miles at 60, pretty good!! So if you can so can I, just have to get away from work to show the folks that the class of 1958 can still cut a rug rather well . . .
Good luck at that surgical appointment. Best to Meg. Your camera clarity is phenomenal. I particularly noticed it the 2nd half of this video. To the success of your summer shows! See you with Hickery this Fall.
Great trip Shug! Was surprised to not see you wolfing down a pair of Culver’s singles! Your relationship with the red squirrel cracks me up every time you encounter one! Best of luck with the upcoming shows & surgery. I got up early, EARLY, to watch this!
I got up early,EARLY EARLY to watch this! Thank you,Shug, for this. As soon as my knee is back to normal(as normal as it gets at 54 years old) ,I’m off to the woods for a few days of hiking in northern Saskatchewan. Wooooooo buddy!
You know, the quality of sleep and resting in comfort is different for all, but is absolutely relatable to the quality of the experience out on the trail especially when putting in real! miles in varied weather and temperatures. And peace and solitude on the trail sounds about right to me Thanks captain-
Loved your little tent/hammock spiel. Thanks to you, I am now a 100% hammock sleeper. Yes, since july 2017, I ONLY sleep in a hammock, Home, Trail, & Van! In a bed, I can't get even 8 hours of sleep, in a hammock, my best was almost 16 hours.
I'll tell you what. I'm sitting out in my hammock on my patio in November, no where near the woods. I wasn't able to go out this year to camp much. So Thank you for taking me out on the nice June hike.
shugemery Hope Everything goes well with the Shoulder Also Shug , No fun getting older , I’m 64 and don’t like the aches & pains that it brings ....Have a Great Day ! 👍

Totally into it! Otherwise I just would have done 3 miles and went home.
Shug, love the videos! I'm just getting into hiking/hammock camping. Could you do a video on your full load out of gear? Take care. Scott from Western Wisconsin.
