You're comparing shell Regular gas vs BP Midgrade gas.
Midgrade gas always wins. But In New York state set standards on quality level of gas.The result will be same .

you have to reset the ecu when changing fuel types, to get the ecu to recalculate the tables

One thing that help is whatever it says on your owners manual put that gas i have v6 running on 87. It jerk on 89 and 91 anyways.

Well, BP is now Marathon and they recently stepped up the STP additives making it Top Tier now. From what I read, it’s PEA based which is good. Same thing for Shell and Chevron. I’m going to try Marathon after this tank runs out.

In Greece Shell fuels (made by MotorOIL S.A.) are pure garbage. BP/EKO fuels (ELPE) are much better. But I think this has mostly to do with base fuel refinery quality rather than the additives.
