A k&n air filter legit solved my problem. I had a p1101 code for the longest. Replaced 2 MAF sensors, cleaned the air cleaner box, got a new filter, code would clear for a few hours and pop back on. Bought a k&n filter then cleared the code, it’s been 3 months and no check engine light!
Thank you for the information sir! I just installed a new turbo and radiator and I did not clip in the boot all the way. I removed it to disconnect and reconnect some lines that run to the radiator. Because of your video I was able to take care of the problem in 20 minutes!
Transmission oil cooler / turbo charger intercooler is the component you are referring to. The air flows through the intercooler after it leaves the turbocharger before flowing to your intake manifold.
Thanks for your video! I replaced the trans cooling lines and didn't get that boot back on perfectly so I got that code P1101. I went back and checked it after watching your video. Snapped it in correctly with the clip opening at the top. No CEL now and runs great!
That's the lower intercooler hose not the transmission cooler line. You could have had a simple leak as its common for these Cruzes. Cleaning the intake manifold out, the throttle body, maf sensor, tightening all clamps and gaskets for the intake manifold and throttle body helps alot.
For those talking shit, the BMW is $100,000 car and only after 4 years that BMW can be had for $4,500. Big deal there is an engine service light, very easy to fix

I've seen about a dozen videos on it and they've all suggested different problems and solutions from wastegate valves , oil intake lines, turbo intake, and intercooler intake leaks. And a few other. I need to spend a while day taking apart my turbo system just to troubleshoot and diagnose it. Thanks for the video though! I'll know what to look for now
If you change the Mass Air Flow Sensor, should your engine light go off after a new one has been replaced. Have 2016 Chevy Malibu with P1101 code. Mechanic changed it, but light came back on later.
I’m going threw this now , I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and throttle body and light still on. I just did throttle body but I haven’t drove it yet with a/c on . Did you find the issue with your Chevy ? I’m driving a 2016 Chevy Malibu
So I have a 2016 Chevy Cruz turbo engine and what my car is doing is it drove fine for about an hour and a half all the way to LA as soon as I got off the freeway came to a stop at the light and when I went to go it let me go, but then it acted as if my brakes were being applied kind of heavily, but it was not pushing my brake pedal down so then I would go to accelerate And then it would start accelerating and then do it again then you could push the gas through it doing its little break or slip or whatever and it just continues to do it, but it doesn’t do it in reverse and it doesn’t do it in first, but something is telling me that it is not the transmission even though everyone says it is something is telling me it’s not the transmission because I have not had any kind of issue with my transmission leading up to this but I have had a vacuum leak code pop and now it is popping a P0420 code only and it had popped a P01011 amongst a couple other codes having to do with pretty much a leak problem and I knew I had a massive leak, but I wasn’t able to specify where but help does anyone know what the fuck is going on cause I’m stumped everyone wants to tell me it’s the transmission but something tells me inside because I have some. What a good idea and how to work on cars and how cars function and I am so stumped specially because I replace the pressure map sensor and crankshaft sensor. I have not done the maf sensor but I’m gonna do that next, but something is telling me. It is the brakes because when I am driving, it sounds as if the brakes are applied somewhere like a dragging sound almost….HELP PLEASE N THANKS U I cannot get over a few miles an hour without it doing this
Does yours was making a noise when it starts giving you trouble? I have same codes showing up and same problems but the different with mine is the noise I have just replaced the turbo and it’s doing the same.
@@diablojota I would like to let you know that I'm a certified master technician with most modern engines. I fixed underboost permanently with multiple turbo replacements. @@CodySorrell13 that's great, man! But I'm pretty confident that the GM engineers know the limitations of their system. P1101 Definition states: Mass Air Flow(MAF) Sensor out of self test range. So it could mean that MAF Sensor May be disconnected, may be dirty, or just needs to be replaced or cleaned up. Sometimes it can also be vacuum leak related in the intake system. Also check the fuses for MAF sensor and others. This code can have dozens of different related issues. It is hard to pinpoint without checking all different things. What other codes or issues are you having with the 2014 Cruze? How does it drive? Any loss of horsepower? Any other check engine codes? Is the air filter clean?

How is your acceleration? How does the car run overall? Are you kissing any power accelerating or cruising ? I would travel 1-2 hours for now. Not too far though, it is hard to tell.
That noise might be from your AC Compressor belt. Usually once you change the belt the noise goes away. It sounds like your car is ok to drive, but it may still be risky. How many miles you got on it ?
You need to do the following for these codes: Check the oxygen sensors and catalytic converter for proper operation. Inspect for any vacuum leaks or fuel delivery issues. Verify that the fuel system is functioning correctly and the engine is not running too rich. P2777 I believe is Transmission related, so you should try Inspect the Pressure Control Solenoid 'B' and related wiring and connectors. Check the transmission fluid level and condition. Test the transmission control module and related sensors. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

That's not a transmission oil cooler. That is called an intercooler! And its not supposed to have oil in it.... at least, not much.
