The mod you need is metal doesn’t burn, doesn’t make any damn sense that steel ignites at room temperature anyways. All it does is change one little thing in the defs and everything made of steel doesn’t burn.
@@EmergencyChannel maybe if you were using it as fuel for a furnace. WTC collapsed due to the steel supports (which didn’t have fireproofing due to shit contractors) which were already damaged by the plane impact bending and buckling due to the heat.

Eventually it sagged so much that due to the already massive kinetic damage from the plane impact, some support snapped like a twig and the rest is history.

Idea, gradually get more colonists but lock them all in a secluded room with food and RnR, not providing anything to the colony but still increasing difficulty.
Part of why the game felt so easy is because CE makes mechanoids super strong but since you started with your own mechanoids you were already stronger than any threat you'd face in the first year or two. CE also makes the zombies a non threat since they are so easily mowed down with the changed accuracy and damage mechanics. Especially with mechanoids who are essentially immune to the zombies.
I tried to defeat the diabolus in Ce and all my 6 militors died to the fast firing rifle the diabolus has that can two shot militors not the big cannon
11:13 Mechanoids refuse to charge if the charger is not in their area. and for the charger to count, is needed to be the interaction point and the adjacent next square of the structure, the middle part of the charger.
CE adds a whole different value to the game. Problem is it will also make you massively OP if most of your enemies are melee characters. 200+ person raid all armed with guns... now that's when it gets interesting.
300 plus pirates demands that you either out range them or outgun them by a big amount to keep them suppressed. Lots of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

Consider using the mod "Achtung!" to save yourself your wrist//hand/fingers when having to click so much for deconstructing and such. RSI is not fun. Great Mechanitor playthrough!
10:48 the mod Achtung! lets you prioritize all similar work in the proximity, so you don't have to click each one individually. It would add a smaller lightning shaped button on the priority button.
I never realized before how badly I want someone to set up a line of commissions for realistic RimWorld things. And if Ludeon paid for it, they could do like a digital supporter pack that gives you the digital artbook to look at, say, a scyther and actually get an understanding of how they are so fearsome. I personally imagine like an Assaultron from FO4 without that "fuck you" beam face
I've always planned in running a "meanwhile" scenario for myself in rimworld where you basically follow one of your ex prisoners from your organ harvesting farm, so they start with practically no equipment, missing lung and kidney and they're probably old because early game raiders are almost always riddled with Alzheimers. Would be a challenge for sure, and kind of hilarious.
I cannot overstate how much I love your outro. "Stay indoors, it's not safe out there," just hits so hard for some reason. The insinuation that the viewer is under threat of something that only you seem to know of is so ominous yet enthralling. Love the vids, keep it up ❤

In terms of human colonists being turned into zombies, you usually need zombie bites to do that. Arkhan took a punch to the foot, so he was fine. Edit: I also swear you can have more than 100 zombies on a map, but I don’t play the mod. Something was probably missed on your save file.
@@giin97 14:28 is a better time. I think there is either a setting missed for an entity limit elsewhere, or another mod was enabled that accidentally limited zombies.
from my experience with the mod zombie pop scales with time/wealth. At the beginning of some of my mech colonies i was getting 4-5 max zombies on the map. Near the end (1-2 years in) it was getting up to 200-300 at 100% threat level
Might I recommend the mod Metal Don't Burn? Or at least similar mods? Steel being that flammable is something the devs should've dealt with long ago. Also you can still use Character Editor in game to fix his appearance if you have saved him in Character Editor, or not it's barely noticeable.
For immersion sake, I just avoid to exploit the game, as building a killzone. Without one, the combat difficulty raises a lot. And I do as you with the minigun... just don't equip the best weapon (not considering that the mini IS one of the best... but, yet, could be a suicide sentence in a number of occasions). Thank you for the video. I started a Mechanitor gameplay but after one ingame year just forgot about the need to call the "mech-bosses" and still stuck with my first tier mechs. BUT, as I'm playing Afghan-Vietcong stile, feeling my mountain tunnels with traps and praying for the best, things are going fine. Now, all will be way better than "fine". Cheers!

I have messed around with the zombie land mod It easier just to set the zombie limit to whatever number you want instead of what colony thread it is As it would keep spawning zombies as long as it's going on Yeah it does affect games that are going on

Pretty sure Zombieland more so works with the system of both everyone being infected and the Project Zomboid system of that the infection doesn’t become active unless a zombie lands a bite on you.
Something cool i like to imagine with the Militors is instead of _holding_ their guns,the guns are a _part_ of them (like in their arm,with the barrel in their knuckles)
If you run into the swamp floor issue again you can go into debug mode and replace a concrete bridge with actual floor if you want to make it aesthetically pleasing.
I believe zombieland has a max limit per colonist slider somewhere. So while you increased spawn rate you didnt let enough spawn. This is a option to make sure the game doesnt lag to much but of course with a singular colonist can be a problem
I like to imagine Arkhan badly wounds a team of slavers here to take him and while they're all trapped inside his turret room, mechs restraining the downed slavers. Arkhan " I like ze eyes one zhis vun. " after he had to start doing rip scans.

Quick notice to anyone wondering about the difficulty issue of solo mechanitor colonists: this scenario is stupidly easy with combat extended. in vanilla even on lower difficulties anything beyond wave 1 diabolus either requires immensely overwhelming firepower and advantage or huge cheese like well-designed singularity killboxes & cornerpunching tunnels. Sometimes both. Overall having combat extended is still worth it on account of how embarrassing vanilla combat is to watch.
