Never seen any of those bootlegs, next time you go to a record fair, look for Daryl Stuermer Steppin' Out. It's a great album and is extremely hard to find. It's criminally UNDERRATED. On that album there's an instrumental version of in my opinion, the most UNDERRATED Phil Collins song ever from No Jacket Required called "I Don't Wanna Know", it's track 2

The Geese and The Ghost is FREAKING AMAZING!!! So funny. I was writing a comment to tell u about it and u GOT IT!! Steve Hackett's "Voyage Of The Alcolyte" is what I call The Lost Genesis album. It features everyone but Tony Banks I believe. I have most of their solo projects now. It's nice seeing there's other people out there obsessed with them as me. 👌👍 I just found Tony Banks "A curious Feeling " on vinyl a few weeks ago for 7 dollars. I couldn't believe it!! There's lots of little 💎 gems there with the solo projects. Small Creeps Day is phenomenal ✨️. Very cool.
I find it fascinating the way you go around the record fairs. You get a buzz when you find a cool record, of Collins, genesis 😂

2:35 - That “The Best” collection is actually a repackaging of Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot together in a gatefold sleeve. I saw that exact one at a local store and strongly considered buying it… But I already have a similar repackaging, albeit with different artwork, and both albums individually, so I resisted. 😅

3:42 - I have that Rock Theatre compilation! I bought it on a trip to Spain thinking it was a live bootleg. Was disappointed to find out later that I overpaid for a collection of studio recordings I already owned. 😑😅

I got a copy of Swelled & Spent for $25 (if I remember correctly) at the last record show I went to! Not in as nice of shape as the one you found, but decent. A pretty good deal, I think!

@@EverythingPhilCollins Just went and listened to some snippets before replying to you, so I'm not relying totally on memory of the last time I listened in full a few months ago! 😄
It's... Alright. It's clearly an audience recording. Applause is very prominent, the band sounds distant, and you can hear chit-chat occasionally. Some parts of the show lack clarity. In particular, I remember it being hard to understand a lot of Peter's interlude stories. And it seems like maybe some of the louder bits caused the mic to peak and created a bit of distortion and sibilance every now and then.
But despite some flaws and occasional lack of clarity, it's overall pretty listenable! You can make out the full band and can hear what's going on, even when there are some slightly rough bits. And it's just really cool to have a full performance of The Lamb, since we don't have any video of it, and to have it on vinyl with such cool artwork... It's a neat one to own! I'd have a hard time spending $90 on it... But for $50 or under, for a big fan who doesn't mind the sound of an audience bootleg, I think it's worth it!
Used to Hit up the Record Shows, back in the Day. question: Why dosen't Mike Rutherford Like S M A L L C R E E P ' S - D A Y. it's So Highly Regarded. Even I Like it, A Lot.
