I think this weapon is designed to be used with something like main-gouche. A parrying dagger that can be powerstanced with thrusting swords. With that you can both parry, cast long range spells and attack with powerstance moveset that almost only uses right hand blade. It is very effective that way.
I mainly only use the weapon it self to see it's potential but if i wanted to pair it with smtg else and WANT TO MAKE IT STRONG IT WILL BE EASY but u know just wanted to test only the weapon
For my spellsword build, Carian slicer is my bread and butter and I love it. I saw somebody else mention it, but Clankmocha’s Carian fencer build with this sword and using this sorcery is one of the builds I have ever seen.
@TheWhiteGuuyy Haha that is true! I found Phalanx Spells with the Imapaling thrust goes very well due to their solid stance damage! Glad you gave the weapon a try. Intro was f×××en halirious btw!
That's what I thought too; I've tried it with the Radagon icon at 40 dex to get the virtual 70 dex cap and it felt so fluid. Strangely, when I didn't use the Rada icon it felt noticeably slower, despite having 40 dex. At the time I didn't know that 40-70 virtual dex made such a difference, but now it feels to good to go back from.
@sebastianestrada3697 Yeah Carian slicer is 1 spel where the 10 40 70 casting speed is so drastically different! Often 40 is fine for most spells, but the casting range difference on carian slicer is kinda nuts! Another one is the Beastial Sling.
This weapon is meant to be paired with another, usually use Carian thrusting shield or shield with bash to push away enemies, then use mostly Sword sorceries as R2 attack
i think this thing is not the strongest but it is so flexible that most end up being in a choice paralysis. Having a few strong things to focus on feels efficient while having sorcs and melee moves on the same weapon with the potential to powerstance and combo break yourself (because the 2nd powerstande attack is a 3 hit from main hand) ... i think that is all just too much to think about and get efficient with it. Very fun tho.
It's... ok, I guess. It does what it's advertised for, even if the sorcery scaling iffy. I'll probably stick with either Lusat's, Carian Regal, Prince of Death's, Maternal, or Staff of the Great beyond in the offhand and DMGS or cold Milady as my main. Graven Mass Talisman and Radagon Icon/Beloved Stadust would've been handy here.

Yeah, I saw clankymocha’s Carian Fencer build video. It’s almost like the Main-Gauche was designed specifically for the Carian Sorcery Sword.
@ferdinandavila-soto7233 yep. He made a good video on that build

Aww man I think you would have liked the weapon more at 70 Dex. The casting difference is quite significant woth Carian Slicer.
Eyy man antg that has Impaling thrust is good to me😂

Yes i saw a lot of builds with it and as u said u can make this way more stronger with a magic shield or another dagger and bunch of sorcerers 🗿
Hey that sword is awesome
hey i think your vids are awesome and keep up the dedication, i was wondering if you could use inferno crozier.

Day 3 of carian slicer???? (Lusat staff and carian staff off hand)
Man i hate magic...but I'll see 😂
I mean, Adolf is not wrong, using a bad weapon only makes the combat more interesting
Tbh it's bad yeah if u only use the weapon but u can make it way stronger if u pair it with another weapon or shield and a bunch of sorcerers...
The intro is 10/10
I love the love/hate relationship with subs 😂
