Just started my AA5 and was worried about painting large panels without an airbrush but your drybrushing portion of the video has me feeling a lot more confident on getting this thing painted. As always, your videos are brilliant and helpful and your painting is excellent!
Tamiya makes a wonderful panel liner product in various blacks/browns that makes quick work of...well...panel lines. I've used it on on my AAT, various other vehicles, and even clone helmets with great success. Just suggesting it because it may save you a lot of time from hand brushing them. As always, fantastic work!
I love the basic idea of the model. The rebellion are basically using a militarised version of the Star Wars universes counterpart of a Sprinter panel van here.
Amazing job! I was thinking about using lettering on it in some way, then it struck me that it might be fun to paint it as a Galaxy's Edge Coca-Cola or Sprite truck.
Thank you very much! I'd love to paint Iden Versio, but I'll most likely cover her with a PDF guide (as I usually do with the slightly older releases).. :)
Amazing!! as Always..its my next big project for my Rebel Army! Lots of new ideas ! Members of our Legion Gaming group here on Oahu have dubbed you "Uncle" Sorastro!
Fantastic work! Really love how deep you dive into the weathering and chipping, along with how you draw your inspiration. I think it shows in the final results of your work. I'm really interested to see more of that static grass technique you did near the end of the video. Do you have any other videos on that process? That grass looked very realistic.
Looks amazing! I like watching you paint minis even if I don't plan on buying them myself just so I can learn new techniques and ideas. I hope you paint the laat gunship at some point
Wow amazing as always, love the different coloured stripes gives it a better look than just the red. Didn’t like this vehicle to start with but have just purchased one haha.

Hi Lau! There are several static grass applicators on the market, and things can get quite expensive. This is the one I bought though: www.wwscenics.com/product/pro-grass-micro-applicator-four-seasons-grass-glue-kit/ :)
Thanks Joshua! I use the Badger Stynlrez primers. It doesn't hurt to add a little thinner or even some slow improver too, to help minimise the risk of blockage.. 😀

Hi Andrew! That's tricky to say because it depends on how thick the paint is. I usually add thinner to achieve the consistency I want, then just a few drops of flow improver to help prevent clogging.. :)
simply you are the best
That's very kind - thank you! :)
Is that grass effect expensive to pull off?
Also kudos for the Metroid-esque soundtrack!
Hi Lau! There are several static grass applicators on the market, and things can get quite expensive. This is the one I bought though: www.wwscenics.com/product/pro-grass-micro-applicator-four-seasons-grass-glue-kit/ :)
Looks great! Question, what airbrush primer do you use? I’m having a hard time with clogging.
Thanks Joshua! I use the Badger Stynlrez primers. It doesn't hurt to add a little thinner or even some slow improver too, to help minimise the risk of blockage.. 😀
@@Sorastro Awesome thanks! That's the primer I have. I'll try a little thinner and flow improver.
Can you leave the cockpit door open?
Hi Bruce! I guess you could leave it off? 😀
Legend just legend!
Thanks a lot! :)
Super sick!!!
Thank you! :)
Nice job 👍
Was it just me, or did anyone else try to wipe the dust off their screen during the cutscenes only to realise it was a subtle starfield effect 🤣
Ha ha - thanks Matthew! :)
I saw this and immediately my mind went to space balls.
