Hello Mr. Sorastro, simply amazing! I kept my promise and shared this video with my daughter, I'm sure she will love it. Thanks Mr. Sorastro you have a wonderful day!
Man I have been watching your videos forever. I just completed my Yoda models and I cannot love them more. I appreciate all the techniques you share in your videos!
THIS is the one I've been praying for :-) Yet again, you deliver the goods and answer all my prayers at the same time. I LOVE the leaping Yoda figure, as it's so dynamic and can be used for the Clone Wars as well as for the later years conflicts, no doubt. Thank you so much for making and posting such an awesome video :-D
I FINALLY got the yoda minis and followed your whole painting guide (going a bit broke in the process by buying the exact paints) and they both came out so well! And I learned about OSL! Thank you so much for the video. Now please make additional videos exclusively using all of the new paints I bought.
Wooowwww...a day with a Sorastro video is a banner day indeed. I always get good ideas for colors from your videos, though I've but a fraction of your skill. But I get good ideas about shading and highlighting in particular from you, two areas I can always be better in.
Watching you're videos I notice you tend to use a lot of certain colors often. What would you're top 10 most used/favorite colors be? (Perhaps it would make a good video in the future) thanks!
I'm so envious of you, getting these miniatures as I'm only just pre ordering them and can't wait to get my hands on it ! :) Great video once again ! Thank's for sharing your technics for both poses ! :)
@@Sorastro brilliant mate , I started using Zenith highlights a while back after watching your videos !👍 the light reflection technique on lighsaber is great ive tried it a few times with power swords. I need more practice lol 👍
just ordered myself a yoda after being inspired by this video! it will be my very first star wars legion mini, and i have to say the game looks a lot more fun than warhammer. i love the alternating actions and all the cards that you use :D i'm gonna finish painting up my t'au army for warhammer 40k, then i'll shift over to star wars legion instead! it wasn't even that long ago that i didn't even know of star wars legion's existence :P cheers :)
Big fan; been watching for years, but really want to begin to improve--which episode or series would your recommend, specifically, for learning/practicing layering. Thanks so much for all you do!
Thanks for the video - excellent as always. I do wonder, though, as I started following your earlier videos and bought GW and Vallejo paints to match, why you made the switch to SC. I feel as though now if I want to follow your tutorials, I have to invest in a new paint system.
Hi! You don't need to switch really; just find a close enough alternative from the range you already have. I just happened to begin exploring the Scalecolor line a couple of years ago and found I really love the colours and finish. 😀
Just picked up my Yoda and this guide is amazing! Literally the best videos for painting guides 👌 how do you dry your basing material in the oven? Any tips would be great!
Thanks a lot Jordan! I didn't really know what I was doing with the basing material to be honest, but I just gave them a short-ish blast (trying not to burn them!) :)
I've been using a few colors from Scale 75 to supplement my army painter and citadel line. Man, I love the ultra-matte finish of the paints, the consistency, the coverage. Extremely good paints. I haven't had any issue with separation as I have with the AP line. Also, some of the AP paints are hard to mix with other colors because of the gel-like medium they use (and the separation in AP has gotten to the point where I've purchased a vortex agitator and the little mixing balls aren't enough). How are you liking the Scale 75 paints?
Like I know you do other things..... but could you idk paint Legion only?? Amazing work thank you again for all the guides. Also had to add an edit here but your music is amazing I don't think I could paint Legion without it now.
Hey sorastro just subbed to your channel. I'm planning to buy some rebel pathfinders. Any chance you are doing a paint tutorial for them? Ps your painting videos are the best I've seen!
There are no better reference in the SWL paint job than you. Amazing video! Will you do more painting videos about the CIS faction, perhaps focusing on the B2 or BX? Thanks!
Commenting here cause I know your awesome at responding. Would you use the same colors for Grogu or do you have something else in mind. I mostly follow tutorials since I am still new to painting.
Thanks Niels! There should be a link to the brush I use in the vid description.. but it's from Rosemary & Co, and although I'm let mean to them, I find they just keep their tip really well! 😄
Hi! I'm not especially kind to my brushes tbh but I just think that the Rosemary & Co brushes (see video description for link) are naturally very good at keeping a nice point :)
Is Legion worth it? Getting back into Imperial Assault again, running it as the empire. Bet you can waste even more money in legion than all the expansions of imperial assault.
@@Sorastro Hi. Thank you for your Quick Answer. This is interesting and a little bit Intimidating in both times: I ordered this kid two times, because my Mother is a great Yoda-Fan (And I like the little guy too. I missed him in imperial Assault.) This means I have to paint four Yodas now, when they arive in September.
How do you make the paint on your palette so silky smooth? Mine is always either a sticky mess that goes on too thick or so see through it's more like a glaze. I can't seem to do it right.
Hi William! These days I like to add a little Flow Enhancer to the water that I thin with - you might find it helps! (I use the Daler Rowney Flow Enhancer) :)
Hi Joe! It's a win-win for everyone really; my viewers get a nice early look at the miniature, and hopefully some ideas they might like to consider when planning how to paint theirs. My video receives more interest that usual. And the miniature gets a little promotional boost in the run up to the release, which is good for the game developers. :)
Scalecolor is one of the worst pieces of trash paints you can ever find on the market. I would advice anyone not to use it. Other than that, great job.
@@Sorastro No, I don't need to mix paints try to make a paint better, that is something that the manufacturer of that specific paint is supposed to do. Why would i do that, when i can buy perfectly fine paint like Vallejo or Citadel that works great straight out of the pot ? P3 Privateer paints are also 3 times better paints than this garbage speedpaint , scalecolor etc
So excited to get my own Yoda. I'm glad they give us two models to work with
Thanks mate! :)
Your OSL is perfect. I'd swear that light saber is glowing.
Thanks so much Don! I'm really glad you like the OSL 😀

Hi Cam! I'm really into the matte Scalecolor line at the moment, but I guess the specific colours I choose really depend on the mini I'm painting... 😀
@@Sorastro Also into the Scalecolor line at the moment, you should give Pro Acryl paints a try almost as matte and heavy pigments.
