  • This video will cover the best spinning reels I have used over the past 3 years. Now I will say, I haven’t used all of the budget spinning reel out on the market but I have tried 25-30 reels and these are my favorite of those reels!

    Pflueger is definitely underrated, and their low-profile baitcasters are amazing reels. Unfortunately, the last two Pfluegers I bought make clicking sounds, and one is $150. One of the reels locks up, and the won't turn. I think I may have got lemons because all of my other Pfluegers are amazing. I just got a Regal for my crappie rod. I hope it holds up for years. Great video

      Thanks man, I appreciate it! And I do like PFlueger quite a bit. I used to have a Regal but the neck stem cracked on me. So be careful if you use it in cold weather, I think that cheaper LT plastic doesn’t hold up well in cold weather.

    I prefer 1000 size reels for my ultralight. I have a 500 pfluger. No complaints with it. For budget reels I really like Piscifun reels. They have upped their price a bit too.

    • @Tightt88
      @Tightt88  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah Piscifun is owned by a Chinese company so I tend to stay away from those. I want to try to support American and Japanese when I can. But to each their own. I am not shaming anyone. Thanks for the comment!

    Is the ozark trails otx smoother than the ot reel? Was goin for the 30$ setup but for a lil more, im thinking the extra bearings help for a smoother reel.

      The OTX is a little smoother and more refined.

    I just got the Lew's Xfinity size 10 reel and LZR pro size 30 there very smoothly. i think the medium is 5 ball bearing in my reel is perfect. But 3 ball bearings is good for most people and is the starting point. I don't like the plastic reel's but most are like that 🤔

      When you say “plastic” do you mean graphite? If so, there is nothing wrong with graphite frames.

    I bought the lews one from walmart you recommend for 25$ and out of the package it makes a lot of noise reeling in line or fish. Is mine messed up?

    • @Tightt88
      @Tightt88  26 днів тому +2

      The Lew’s Lite Speed? If that reel is making noise when reeling then you got a lemon. I own a couple and none of them make any noise.

    I have several Trions, some from way back, good little reels, I like the President when it goes on sale at BPS (which are my favorite at this time) but the Daiwa Revros and Regal rank pretty high on my list.
    The Lews Mr. Trout blew me away for the price and Dicks Sporting Goods would put it on sale quite frequently.
    The Okuma Stratus vi10 is another that impressed me enough to buy more than one when they go on sale.
    Nice job man, you definitely do your homework but there’s no green reels.. 😂

    What about Kastking? I’ve seen a bunch of good reviews for them.

    • @Tightt88
      @Tightt88  2 місяці тому +1

      Yeah I have used Kast King reels in the past. I like them but they do not have as good of a fit and finish as these reels until you get to their midrange reels. I will say, I hear the new Spartacus II is really nice and it looks great too. I Ned to try that reel out soon.

    You compare the fluger and talk like its close to the nexave but way better tha a sienna. When in reality the sienna and nexave are identical in every way except colour. I own both the sienna and the nexave due to a special making them the same price. The schematic is identical so you can't say the nexave or sienna is better or woese they are the same.

    • @Tightt88
      @Tightt88  3 місяці тому +1

      I was referring to price points. Not quality. I think the PFlueger is a much better reel than both Naxace and Siena. And you’re right those two reels are the same but Shimano charges you $20 more for the Naxace. I actually have a whole video covering this topic called Shimano is Over Priced and Overrated. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Presidents are now 70-80 bucks even at Wally world. They are darn good reels for the price. Looks don't mean poop to me, bearings, drag and weight w/line capacity carry weight with me. Now when are you going to talk Seagates, Slammers or Spinfishers? Pricey damn straight, amazing durability, stupid drags.

    • @Tightt88

      Thanks for the comment and when it comes to those reels they are all salt water reels and I am a fresh water angler. And I am a budget angler, aka, cheap as hell lol. Finally, the most I have seen the President is $60-70, even at BPS and I agree, it’s a great reel!. Hope you liked the video!

      @@Tightt88 saltwater? They are my big catfish reels on surf rods. Bank fisherman here. Sometimes you have to chuck a bait to get to old river channels, they are able. Best find out how your watchers fish. Old guy who would rather buy quality once than junk multiple times.

      @@jamestboehm6450 oh I wasn’t familiar with them other than the Slammer and that is one of the salt water anglers favorite reel. And a quick Google search said the other two were salt water. Sorry, I am not really familiar with Penn. the most I know is that Pure Fishing owns them and they have some good salt water reels. if they offer ultralight and bass reels I’ll start looking into them for sure. @@Tightt88 they make smaller Spinfishers and they are pricey but buy once use for 20 yrs reels. Seagates are beasts in their own right. They are big, they are tough as hell. Not many reels you can get 30+ lbs of drag on that are bass rods. Yes I fish 2#-65# line and am probably not your average cheap fisherman. Still a good video, keep up the good work.

      @@jamestboehm6450 thanks man, I appreciate it. My next video will actually be a review on a ultralight reel I bashed a little in my Bass Pro Shop’s Crappie Max Quick Tip video. That should be all finished up by mid-late this week.
