    As long as you're taking requests for video ideas, I got a lot of value from the long video you made a few years ago about death, health insurance, money, etc. I like how that video really breaks down some of the self limiting beliefs and unquestioned norms that people often cling onto as excuses for not living a more radical lifestyle, one that is actually in accordance with their own beliefs.

    Hello Rob, as you asked…. I’d like some help setting up a free seed library here in the UK. I don’t need the funding, I can get that, but I would like some guidances and insight please.
    And it great to see you back on UA-cam.
    Take care.

    Hey, Rob. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me! I came to your channel via the same route I came to permaculture - not gardening, because I’d never gardened before, but foraging. Permaculture immediately appealed to me because a sustainable garden I can wander through and FORAGE is the best of all worlds. So this year I planted my hugely over-ambitious first ever garden at age 60. Here, however, is my request. My ability to forage is declining because I’m losing my vision. Two things I would love so much to learn are, first, tips for transplanting wild edibles into my permaculture gardens for easy access, and second, any tips and suggestions for severely visually impaired gardeners, although that last may not be your particular direction. But I just wanted to thank you so much for inspiring me to get back to the woods, and to create my own accessible foraging forest!

    ❤ your name is written in my future plans to support your purpose & mission on this earth. I am most interested in learning more about your “how.” What was your process in breaking free from the system? Did you put your thoughts in writing a plan and then take on one thing at a time ?
    Did you go back to banking, renting, buying toiletries or essentials ?
    Where do you stay warm in the winter climate?

    Hi Rob!
    I'd like to see a video about how to break free from the trappings of technology addiction (i.e. television, mindless scrolling through phone, etc) focusing on the root causes (i.e. boredom, loneliness, disconnection from real world).
    I'd also like to see a practical how to video on foraging especially in urban/suburban environments.
    Lastly, I'd love to see a 'day in the life of Rob' video. How do you spend your time? What brings you joy in this lifestyle? What are your struggles?
    Thank you very much for your efforts!

    I love this channel. I’m sure there would be people that say Rob is a nature looney. But he’s genuinely just one of the few people out there that has it figured out. This is what life’s about. I applaud him and wish I could be more like him. Rob’s also a guy that not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. He’s not a phoney that just says words. He changed his entire lifestyle and has stuck with it and his beliefs.

    Hey Rob! Every time you've challenged assumptions or the "normal" way of being, I've found it inspiring. Continue to challenge yourself and show us ways we can challenge our thinking too...from bamboo bicycles, to trash suits, to tp choices, to growing and foraging your own food, to eating out of dumpsters. They all have "crazy" written all over them, but I think they help point out flaws in how we perceive and maybe redefine what normal is in a more regenerative and equitable way.
    Keep up the good work!

    Thank your for sharing part of your life, journey, and personal things with all of us too.
    I really appreciate that you have many other people discuss their ways of life and living too
    Rob, I would like to know if you would touch base or ever consider going to a Canadian First Nation Reserve? The reason I'm asking this is because in a lot of isolated and remote Canadian Northern First Nation Reserves there is a lot of Food insecurity. For an example in the Nunavut a Canadian Territory a head of cabbage would cost them 28 dollars, Bell Peppers range from 10 dollars - 16 dollars, half a Watermelon 13 dollars, one Apple would cost them a little over 6 dollars.
    Not only that Rob, a lot of First Nation Reserves lack safe drinking water as well and this has been going on for more than a decade
    Thank you again so much Rob
    Take care, Many Blessings, and Peace

    You inspired me in so many different ways! Including foraging and growing my own food. This year we turned a big part of our garden into a vegetable garden and as of two week ago we got another 100m2 in an allotment garden. (This year for free and after that for only €35 a year!!) So we can grow a really big part of our own food now using permaculture 😁🌱

    I would love to see more content about what apartment dwellers can do to live a higher quality, more environmentally friendly life; seeing examples of renters who work with their landlords and neighbors to create communities that are more green than the average apartment-type community, that sort of thing;
    And what individuals can do to make their workplaces more environmentally friendly (trash management, education, teaming up with others);
    How people are working with their local municipality to create greener towns and laws; how laws can be changed to make it easier and less expensive to build green homes, ADUs, gardens, raise animals in town, etc.
    Looking forward to more content from you. :)

    The thing that got me watching you was the practical solutions you explored while trying to live a year off of only free wild/cultivated food in that tiny house that you (and others) built together. I like seeing practical options for living more freely, and effectively, be it simple tools, uncommon tips, and even new commercial technology (like the methane composting contraption you tried) when it's likely to be revolutionary for communities and households who want to find ways to live joyfully and comfortably while taking as little as possible from the planet (or even leaving it better than we found it).
    I'm not really interested in basic politics/ideology or tours of fairly common things (urban gardens with typical plants growing in it). Also, as a vegan, I'd hope that any non-human animals are collaborated with consensually, but I understand you're not a vegan, so hopefully any eating or using non-human animals, be it on farms or in the wild, would be kept to a minimum.

    How about using your celebrity to create an international association financed by city halls to have people advising locally at home individually what to do with food scraps?
    / There are so much videos to get started step by step that you could propose for very beginners. Thank you so much for all your dedication.
    Getting an understanding on the soils (each meter kind of different depending the trees, the wind/sun exposure, bugs,..)..knowing what to plant best, where and how create a food scraps’place.. is a very long process. It’s only a year we have a 500sqm garden. The paid gardeners we asked had no clue and advised only on flowers/trees and lawn..

    I'm glad you're back! I would love to learn about how those of us on a simplifying journey can take the next step...particularly stuff for 'middlingly minimalist' folks who would like to be more radical in their simplicity but still live with a regular job, house, family etc.

    Hi Rob! Thank you so much for what you are doing :) Your work and life are so inspiring. I would love it if you could talk more about your process when you started changing your life, particularly, how you handled the fear of being judged by others. I think this fear is a big barrier for many people to begin doing things differently.

    Can’t wait to see your future videos and projects. I would like to see an update/reminder on your 100 steps to going green. It’s the small doable steps that inspire me the most. Sometimes the change the world agenda feels so distant and not doable, helpless even. But it’s not if we all combine our own small efforts. Also gardening, cooking/eating/clothes/personal care/green jobs and workplaces, ordinary stuff we can all do. Thank you for all you do x

    We're here to help you simplify, Rob! It's great to hear from you again, but I'm also glad you've been attending to your local community projects and personal needs to be silent and reflective on occasion. I'd love to hear any updates you have on your many life simplification tactics, what's worked for you, what's required some adjustment, and how you psychologically navigate "swimming upstream" if I might call it that.

    Hi Rob, thanks for all the inspiration and practical videos you have provided over the years. It's great to have you back. If every average household could do one thing that would make the most difference to reduce their impact on the environment. What would that be and how would they most easily achieve it?

    Just found your content and videos, am inspired. I totally agree that the less you have (materials) the greater and enriched your life is by spending time doing what you have passion for. Thanks for sharing and sending positive thoughts!

    Awesome Rob, great to see you back! Your videos have had a huge affect on my approach and balance to life about 5 years ago. It too has pushed me to answer the question of what I can do to help humanity.

    Hello my hero! I'm so happy that you've decided to stay in place, in place, in place, at least for a while :-) you had said that you were going to be living with a small community of people that would support each other and learning things like woodworking Etc, I would love to hear about the small communities, I truly believe they will be popping up as 'parallel structures' all over the world, and what you're doing will be so inspirational. Thank you again for all you do! ( was so wonderful to share presence with you at the Laguna Beach clean-up 🐟🏖🐬🦀🐬🐙🦈🦐 )
