Walpers, widgets, and other 'life-changing' elements - that's so disappointing. They should fix the PREFERENCES menu because it's a mess like on Windows. Does problem with external monitors on macbook m1/2 was fixed finally? There is nothing interesting in new version so there is no need to risk instalation before xx.1 version release - as usual.
That NYC skyline wallpaper is awful.
As a professional procrastinator, macOS Sonoma's animated wallpapers are the perfect way to make it look like I'm being productive when I'm actually just watching those mesmerizing fish swim by

I am SO freaking happy they finally fixed the Airpods auto switch feature. It was driving me crazy on my macbook air, and the fact that it would suggest switching, but not do it automatically even though I have the setting switched was even more infuriating.

Great video Greg! I was actually googling yesterday why my AirPods don't auto-connect to my Mac so I'm happy to see they've fixed this! Also enabled Stage Manager as I completely forgot about this feature. Excited about the new lock-screen animations too and I wonder if I can add my own? Updating as we speak so I'll have a look.

Hey is their any bug in new update like I am getting animation on screen lock that is when it is timed out but when I start on cold boot the lock screen appear at that time I am not getting any animation , also I have turn off the battery saver option ,any solution guys ??

as soon as I go to the lock screen of my mac, it turns off immediately after like 5 seconds, i have set the screen off time to never in system settings under lock screen, still the issue is not fixed. Can someone explain me what's going on here?

Is there any way to disable the date/time on the lock screen and get the login box back to the middle where it belongs? Hiding it down at the bottom of the screen is a giant pain in the arse.
why can't I choose my iPhone in the widget menu. Use iPhone widgets is already turned on
One of the biggest changes for me is the ability to change the sample rates in the Audio Midi App so I can play Apple Music lossless and High Rez at its native rate. Previously this was impossible on the Mac Mini M2 but strangely possible on my Mac Mini 2014 models.
ARM vs Intel - difference of CPU architecture & instruction sets. Nothing written for Intel chips will work on a ARM chip (Apple silicon), and vice-versa. At least not without Rosetta 2.

Movies I purchased years ago which are available to me on Apple TV+ have improved greatly in quality. Currently outputting HDMI from Macbook M2 Pro to Samsung Q90b TV. Prior to this upgrade, many purchased videos were extremely grainy and outright unacceptable. Yet my 4k Apple TV box (not Apple TV+) were considerably better which was confusing.

My MacBook goes into sleep mode in 30 seconds after I turn on my Lock Screen. What should I do? I just don’t want my MacBook to turn off my screen… I already tried all settings in “Lock Screen settings”.
hey Greg, appreciate this video. it was a big help. but perhaps you can help me with something else??? I have always taken screen shots and saved them to my desktop. I also export certain web pages to my desktop. problem is now they are not saving to my desktop???? idk 🤷♀ where they are. Ive checked in finder, and cannot find them in there either??? perhaps you can help???
You should be able to find out where your screenshots are set to save somewhere in the Settings app. I would search the settings app for “screenshots”, or do a google search.

How do you increase the size/height of your menu bar? Yours is slightly bigger than normal
I think what you’re referring to is that on MacBooks with notches, the status bar height matches the height of the notch, making it bigger than on other macs.
so i hate when i click the wallpaper screen and all the tabs go up and to the side how can i quit that ? its so annoying to me

after first boot after upgrade it wont let you login unless enable icloud.
you can turn it off after you login but get annoying ERROR pop like its good idea turn icloud on LOL

Thanks for the tour. I’m still stuck on Catalina OS… I just can’t justify upgrading my 2014 27” iMac to a 24” iMac. It seems too much like a downgrade - can’t run my older software and a smaller screen.
I upgraded the software on my 2015 MacBook Pro to this new Sonoma software. You can upgrade your 2014 iMac to Sonoma.

@@Flipitos oh my bad I thought you meant to categorize them. What if you select all folders and documents you want organized and then try right clicking and pressing clean up
@@peteralmeyda4211 it has clean up section. But it forced to setup folders by name, size, etc. it used to have simply clean up and stood in their place, but where I want them to stay…
No gadjet for apple music desktop
guaranteed..the wallpaper feature will be turned off after a few weeks. Windows vista had live wallpapers and desktop widgets in 2006...gotta love apple for reinventing the wheel.

The actual version of Sonoma is NOT available yet. Only the Beta version is, and I learned the hard way there is a reason it's called a beta. Not done yet. I do enjoy your channel.

These features are pretty nice, apple is really trying to pull me into their ecosystem. Honestly may as well, only thing I won’t ever go to Apple for is a desktop computer. I don’t need a laptop for gaming and if I do I guess I can just play a simple game like minecraft etc.
I hate how well apple makes everything work together, but then they lock you in once you’re fully in. Why would you ever get something else as everything just syncs together perfectly. It’s why I’m so hesitant to switch, cos if I ever do want something else not from apple it won’t work well with my other apple products that I spent so much on.
I do like what they do, but there’s also lots of things that I dislike with how they run things and anti-consumer practices etc, price and how they’re in their own little bubble (world).
I’ve got an iPad mini 6, want the iPhone 15 pro max and watch, also the headset when it gets usb c and may as well eventually get a MacBook down the line. Then they’ve got me, just like that. It’s just annoying knowing that it’s happening, but the products are good.
Sonoma just got gaming mode. You won't pull 240 fps but you can officially game on Mac and get more than 20 fps. I made the full switch to a Mac mini with more ram and memory and have had no issues playing certain games so far.

I want to have an iphone 15 pro cause I want to experience the next level gaming performance it has, the new action button, as well as the newly improved camera and of course, the usb-c port everybody is raving about! I’ve been using an Iphone XR all this time, I think it’s about time to upgrade for a change. 😅

Enjoyable video… but… its that really an advanced game? The graphics look very basic to me! Apple’s presentation had a Japanese games that looked like it was pushing the computer, this one here that you’ve shown looks like an Atari game! What am I missing?
