I got a tip for you Greg that you may not be aware of, but I know you'll like! For an even faster way to quit multiple apps; try this - 1) if you have a bunch of open apps, hit ⌘-TAB like you normally would to switch apps. 2) Keeping your finger down on the ⌘ key, tap either TAB (or an arrow key) to highlight the next app, then tap 'Q' to quit the app currently selected. 3) Then just tap 'Q' continuously to quit all the apps in a few seconds. The main point is to always keep your finger on the ⌘ key!
One thing I always do is change "double click window's title bar to minimize" rather than zoom. I minimize far more often than I zoom, so that's one of the first changes I make whenever I get a new Mac.
Nice tips and tricks, thanks! But it's a bit outdated, as with recent OS the 'Preferences' have been changed into 'Settings' and the whole interface is different. On my Mac I don't get the same interface as you.
That was great to watch. Frankly speaking, all the tricks were so amazing, I liked them all and most importantly, the way you were showing them with that great energy made me watch them till the end and while watching I was following your steps doing exactly the same change with my Mac too. That one for taking photo with iPhone and get them to your Mac really stood out for me. Amazing Well done Greg. Good job Keep it up All my thumbs up for you!
14:45 You don't need to copy the image and paste it there! Just drag and drop the image on the top left folder icon in the Get info seciton and boom. That's it!
Greg, Great video, lots of very useful tips. What Mac operating system were you using for this video? I'm using Ventura 13.1. Some of my screens were different than yours. Especially the Systems Settings screen. Thank you, Jack Seid
Great video gregg! As always. one thing I would say… when changing folder icons you can just go to “get info” and drag the image over the small folder icon and it will change. Edit, copy, edit paste is not necessary
you can also combine cmd+tab with cmd+Q, so you dont have to search the window press cmd+tab, then keep pressing cmd and keep pressing Q until everything you want is closed 😁
omg thank you so much for the effort !! I just got my first MacBook and I didn't know a lot of things.. this video is so helpful! it deserves a lot of views and u deserve more subs !!!
Hey Greg, this is a great video. Specially coming from Windows, you made my life much more easier with two or three tips. Now I am feeling almost like at home…
hi greg, can I ask once you've erased all data, what happens in your apple ID account where it shows what devices you own? does that device also disappear after the erase?
I downloaded the Clean my Mac x from the App Store but at the time of purchase directly from the app, it doesn't let me add the pro-code, is it only to be applied on the website?
I like to have the menu bar disappear in full screen mode. Sometimes to relax I'll do a bit of streaming of something I'm watching online at AppleTV+, Netflix or whatever. Of course I'm watching a tv program or movie so I switch it to full screen mode. The menu bar is a distraction, to the experience of the movie or tv. That will automatically take it away.
Can you please do a similar video with Ventura 13.0 that I have on mine. Much has changed. For example, show % to the battery is now found in Control Center and not in Battery.
would you mind telling me what's the difference between hiding and minimizing an application? and sometimes cmd+tab is now bringing the window to the front but I can see it's name on top. So it becomes useless since I'll have to go down and press the app again.
Great video and favorites were the continuity feature of adding directly into notes but also the adding different icons to the folders. There were more but those were very helpful. Keep up the great work!
I feel so dumb for asking but I got a new max and the system preferences was there yesterday and now the only option it gives me is system settings. I can’t find the preferences anywhere. Any input?
Very helpful tips and tricks. I always have apple product except for macbook but now I have the macbook pro and starting to learn the basic settings and I'm so happy I got some tips from your video. Thank you!!!!
What was your favorite tip? Also Use my procode GREGSGADGETS2022 to get 15% off CleanMyMac X bit.ly/GREGSGADGETS2022

Don't forget Command+Tab+Q to close apps while switching
I like what you cover, but you go too fast. The wigit edit button?? Where's that?
Command space bar is the most underrated Mac feature ever.
YOOO agreed
What a great video. As a new Mac user coming from windows, really appreciate the simple and useful information. Thanks Greg

Delivery for my m2 MacBook Air is 2 stops away and I have this video ready to go to help the set up process !😁
I never knew I could change the right click setting --- thanks for that!
I did the same settings in the dock, but my apps will open, but not close from clicking on the app icon in the dock. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

how to change the LOCK screen wallpaper on OS ventura, can somebody help ?
3:04 yeah but the menu bar will be also visible in Full Screen UA-cam Videos or Netflix Films for example. Does anybody know how to fix it?
For me, App Exposé just hides all the windows open behind the top layer window (the window the is in the foreground)... Can someone explain why?
great vid Greg!
Thanks, it was really helpful.
This is excellent! Thanks Greg
VERY VERY USEFUL, THANK YOU!!!
I don’t agree with using alphabet order for system preferences, just go with the search at the upper right hand cornea.
Great Job!
thanks
Great video and favorites were the continuity feature of adding directly into notes but also the adding different icons to the folders. There were more but those were very helpful. Keep up the great work!
