    "Your partner has a skillset to deal with issues or they don't." So much truth to these words, Susan. I was in a 7 year relationship, newly ended. One of the issues is that every THING was an issue...even if to me it was just the normal, expected conversations that would come up in relationships.

    I don't have a problem speaking my truth, and I've always thought it shows strength. My problem is in my delivery! 😮 I tend to confuse being assertive with being aggressive. Sometimes I do intend to be aggressive, but most of the time, I don't intend it. And I have a REALLY difficult time being calm in my tone if I've been hurt by the person I'm communicating with! 🤷‍♀️ It's something I recognize in myself, and continue to work on.

    I love Susan’s channel, she has taught me a lot about relationships and the whole channel reminds me of my life in 2018.
    During that time, I was literally in love with someone who was unavailable but I still saw them everyday at work. The person must have known - even though I hid it. I still use them as a reference and with their good reference they helped get me a job twice! haha.
    It hurt me a lot at the time, and I would watch Susan’s videos to feel better. Looking back, I can also say it was a fun and exciting time, even though they didn’t participate in our “connection” and it may have been all in my head.
    I think being infatuated with this person made me a happier and better person during that time and I definitely learned from the experience.
    In life, you don’t always know the impact you make or how just being yourself can affect another person.

    Hi Susan
    It appears to me, that over the course of your videos, you've helped people discover so much of themselves on a deep level that we transcend the idea of finding 'the right' / compatible person and rather stay on a path of self-discovery to ultimately become 'the right' person to ourselves.
    In doing so, discovering oneself, we outgrow our false narratives and the hold they have on us. Therefore, we can be free to attract and engage with what and who truly fulfills us and brings shareable joy.
    Thank you for all the work you do.
    Joey

      Isn’t it interesting?! It takes nearly a lifetime of partly “hiding” ourselves from others and then…at some point, we’re “out”. Meaning, what you see is what you get and that is liberating and actually easy! But why does it take sooooo long, lol! I needed this capability decades ago!

    Susan, love you but this topic is very real for me. I have done this early in relationships and what happens 100% of the times is your openness is used against you! If you’re also dealing with a narcissist who is insecure to begin with, you will truly be in HELL!

      What have the responses typically been?

    • @mlantieri
      @mlantieri 2 роки тому +4

      @@SusanWinter I truly believe that if you’re a man and you are upfront (respectfully) about your feelings, this will at first appear endearing and sincere and even caring but will quickly turn into “emotional ammunition” for a woman. Women DO NOT want to be with a sensitive and caring man because this signifies weakness. I have had many women tell me how caring and wonderful I am only to leave for something more mysterious/challenging and aloof. At 64 now, all I really care about is no drama, kindness and honesty so I guess I’m gonna be alone.

    • @kilaa3417
      @kilaa3417 2 роки тому

      @@mlantieri consider that these women couldn’t accept your vulnerability because they eventually felt unworthy, or like they could not reciprocate your care because of unhealed wounds. You won’t be alone, everyone deserves love and there is no shortage of love. If you exist then logically someone like you also exists and is looking to find you too

    There can only be one objective truth. Truth is not subjective. Jesus Christ said he was THE truth. Is he a liar? Can you prove that? Whosoever shall believe in Jesus will have eternal life. If you die without Christ you will go to hell. Today is the day of salvation.
