I think this was it. THIS was the moment everything clicked. Kendall just understood the assignment. He's been on a long trial by fire and the heat doesn't bother him. He's ready. Our No. 1 boy.
I disagree. I think the moment it all clicked was episode two after his conversation with Mattson on the phone. Watch it after the hang up. That's the moment
"You're not a killer" may have inadvertently been the best compliment Logan ever gave Kendall. Kendall, with all his flaws, is the only one (aside from maybe Connor) who is actually empathetic and relatively moralistic. Logan knew it too.
I think Roman is getting there too since he felt bad for having to fire Gerri, guilty over his message to his dad, etc. Shiv also kind of has a moral compass though she is more brutal than her brothers (almost Logan level) but she couldn't really let Tom go to jail (when she said to his dad that she can't choose between Tom and Kendall) ...and by choosing Tom (to not go to jail), Logan no longer trusted her judgement. So she isn't really a stone cold B*tch as many fans of the show made her out to be. And well..Connor is out there😂 at least he cares about Willa
you must've been watching some alternate version of the show if Connor came across as empathetic or moral lol, guy is maybe the most messed up of them all...
Kendall has always been the most able to fill his dad's shoes. He just still had empathy. This moment demonstrates how if he is in the zone he can deliver. Problem is he is so damaged that one relapse could destroy him. I predict he rises as quickly as he falls because of inadequacies that were planted by his dad. Congrats, Logan. The best you could create was a suicidal mess.
In the end of the day, Logan fails as a father, he neglectted and abused his kids either physically and mentally and when he said "You are not serious people" is the moment when he realized he was too late to see all of his kids are still acting childish, obnixious, pretentious. When Logan died, they become nothing. Sure, they still rich but they become useless in society.
This scene is the moment it became clear cut who should be CEO, even I who has never even been close to running a multi billion dollar corporation knew telling a plane to circle for half and hour would at the very least be a PR nightmare.
having been through a lot of shit and being an ex-addict who had already been through hell 'helps' you regain your composure. despite being mocked for his substance abuse -also because of it- kendall is the most logical and is best at keeping his calm when he is sober and not in a manic state like the first few episodes of season 3
Kendall has always been great at crisis management, not at actually being successful or managing success. The siblings combine well, but none of them are the full package. Both Kendall and Shiv believe they can do the top job on their own, so they are constantly trying to push others out of the way to grab the steering wheel and do their own thing. But they can't. So if I had to choose between the siblings, I'd pick Roman because at least he understands he isn't the full package, which is why he respects, appreciates, follows, and utilises the experience of professionals who have a proven track record of success (namely Logan and Gerri). A good leader knows what he knows and what he doesn't.
Yes, but I realized the point of the show is that the four kids are all such a hilariously low bar for how a CEO should actually be. Ken is the best candidate relative to three dipshit siblings that are all stunted in their own ways. Tom was a spineless kiss-ass but he was the one guy who actually did the work for the whole show. It's amazing how much he was the obvious choice from very early on.
So uh, headline is we're reinventing grief. Taking charge, flipping the fuckin' script. Death is now a fuckin' leadership opportunity for whoever steps up to the plate. And uh, I think I'm the guy. Hell yeah. I'm the fuckin' guy.
@@kendallroyclips Ah sorry but that's not cool IMO. People might wait until they can binge the 4th season and others might not have started at all. Hopefully it doesn't show up on their feeds, I've had shit spoiled for me that way

How you behave at your father's funeral is a primordial measure of a man. You're taking on the reigns of the head of the household, no small feat, and you've either got it or you don't.
Idk why people want Kendall or any of the kids to take over waustar. The job genuinely sucks. Why do y’all think the veterans (Karl, frank, Gerri) who are all more qualified for the job DONT want it? It’s horrible and not worth it. The kids only want it bc Logan equated getting company power with getting his love/approval, which he was never really going to give them. And Kendall in this scene isn’t doing anything good, it’s a symptom of him and his siblings being trapped in this corporate nonsense. Who genuinely wants to work in a field/position where you have to meticulously choreograph how you grieve your recently deceased dad out of FEAR for how it will affect your future “freedom of movement?” This isn’t a scene of triumph, it’s a tragedy.

@@Julian-jd5yj No, it's not. He realized after the call with Mattson that he had a move to play. That wasn't a huge "someone needs to step up" moment.
I think he’s been ready since the first series. Logan knew Kendall was ready but didn’t want to give up his power so he manipulated Kendall.
This aged like fine wine
