Sir Clive Sinclair made something like this in the UK back in the 1980's/90's, and it was called the Sinclair Zeta. The public wasn't ready for that back then but maybe is now. Sir Clive Sinclair was years ahead of his time with several of his products.
Thanks for sharing that with us :) cheers
Innovative copy paste it seems
I had a petrol version. Made in the 1950s, used spring tension to hold a drive wheel on the rear tyre, I think it was a veloset ??
there is a reson this concept isnt used more widely: it rubs on the front tire thus creating two friction point to transfer torque which is never a good thing
And the price. €600 is a pretty hefty sum for something I can double and buy a regular e-bike. Unless you just bought a new bike and really don't want to get another, I see absolutely no point in this.
French Solex gas powered has been doing this for 50 years.
Exactly it’s inefficient and will wear tires quickly
I live in a very hilly area, so uphill assistance is the most important element for me, and this seems like it'd provide no torque whatsoever. And it only reacts to the bike already being in motion. Putting the bike in motion manually going uphill is exactly the thing I'm purchasing the product to avoid. Definitely not for me.
Velosolex had it wrong then.
For this money, it is much easier to take electricity bicycle
Perharps but this system it s perfect to keep you re favorite cycle and transform it not definetly of course.
250 w and 25 km/h so ok norm of Europe.
in 1950 the Garelli brand in Italy produces "Motore zanzara" with exactly the same operating method as this one, but fueled by petrol, well done, nice reinterpretation in a modern perspective
Thanks for sharing Gabriele :)

This isn't a review. It's a description.
During 60's or 70's my father was using the same thing in France, the name was Velo Solex
Thanks :)
The only pro I can see here is the ease of mount/dismount, but I'm not sure it is so much needed. Also passing torque to the outer part of the wheel will definitely make the tire worn out quickly and should become problematic in case of even minimal contamination. IMHO, we've got there a very niche product for a high price.
not to mention one drip of rain or just wet roads and the thing will slip like crazy and be useless.
Bicycle tires are not expensive, at least not in Europe. I also do not think that tire slip would be a huge problem. And in case, we still need to pedal and therefore can move even with no motor.
Also, for people who ride in any weather to work etc, they would rather buy a complete e-bike.
This is a good product. I like it as I would need just a bit assistance sometimes for climbs etc. . Although I would prefer to have it on the rear wheel.
The tire wears out, so does probably the roller. Used to drive a similar construction in 1955. It ate tires for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You guys know nothing. It works really good, very practical and easy to move to another bike if needed. Hardly any downsides really. And no, the tires does not wear out, don't lie.
@@TheMainCoreand yet you offer no proof of your claims, just saying everyone else is wrong and you’re the only person who’s right
Agree it's brilliant. I actually made a similar device using a 250 watt hub drive skateboard motor. Control is by skateboard Bluetooth controller.
So you don't need to pedal.
I only have 4 Ah battery.
What I would like to see is a mount you just clip the skateboard in and use as is.
I would love to see that if you can share some pics :) tks brother

If you could create a customized rim to attach the device. You could minimize the friction and maybe make it better.
That's really cool and I like the fact that it's wireless, making install clean and simple. It kinda reminds me of the old two stroke French mopeds in the 70's with the motor driving the front wheel. I wonder what would happen if you mounted one on the back wheel too. Two wheel drive!
Thanks Bruce, I though about i, but I am not sure the App will control two devices... I gonna ask for the Zipforce guys.. tks

My God this video got so many views. If it was longer that 8 min. It would made a lot of money. Really nice review, i might even buy one.
Glad you liked it! It is a great kit indeed :) Thanks brother
Beautiful review! Love those outdoors shots! What lenses did you use here? Thanks brother
Thanks brother, outdoor shots moving: GoPro Hero 11 static shots 50mm Samyang :)

So amazing and very great... Good job brother and God bless you.. take care always brother.
Thanks brother, bless you too 🙏
He, he, new idea? OK, partly, but in Denmark they have had this setup for at least 75 years. Only difference is the change from petrol to electric. The danish name for the pertol vertion is ‚knallert‘, resembling the noise from a small 2-stroke engine.
Hey there, just watched your video on electric bicycles and I must say, you did an excellent job highlighting the features and benefits of these e-bikes! As an avid e-bike user, I'm always on the lookout for innovative designs, and now I've stumbled upon Freebeat's new Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike crowdfunding project. The indoor recharge feature truly caught my attention - being able to charge the bike while cycling indoors is a game-changer! It's impressive how this bike combines fitness and technology, providing performance insights and even converting calories into CO2-free miles. I can't wait to support this project and see the Morph eBike in action! Keep up the great content!
Thanks.. I didn't know about that bike before your comment :)
These bikes are getting really good indeed! Cheers
In simplicity is beauty.
No, I know it´s very delicate mechanism, but the idea how to turn bike into e-bike is easy this way! And very lightweight.
I have e-bike, but classic one. On the plains this would be perfect, but we have here rather steep roads, so I would be a bit concerned about "rubber against rubber" traction between the motor and bike. But other than that, love it :)
Thanks for watching and commenting Miroslav :)
Solex mopeds used this drive system from about 1930! Nothing is truly "new"!
muito bom e pratico!!!
Sem duvida, obrigado por assistir e comentar :)
This reminds me of the gas powered mopeds of the 50’s and 60’s that you used to see all over Europe. Yes, I’m old enough to remember.
Thank you ;)

Дуже гарна розробка, геніальна.
Very very nice simple technolog y and beautiful riding
Indeed it is! Thanks, brother :)
Really good idea but the price really close to an ebike 😂
I remember years ago the 2-stroke motors that used to mount to the front wheel like this
thanks :)
Solex!
Thank you for the video and you have a wonderful accent
So nice of you :) Cheers

Excellent ebike kit, I tried it out today for the first time, i really enjoyed it. How much pressure do you put between the zip and the tyre?
Yep, it's a great kit for sure! I can't give you the exact pressure, but I was trying it out when it was barely working and kept going until it had a really good grip.
SPRYTNE ROZWIĄZANIE I NIE INGERUJE W KONSTRUKCJĘ ROWERU 💪🤩👍
Absolutnie! Masz rację! Dzięki Danielo
They need to make it available in the U.K. I tried to buy one.
Man... it is not getting there? I didn't know that :( Sorry
Nice gadged. It is also possible to install with a suspension fork?
It should work depending on your fork. It can be installed on the rear wheel as well. Please contact Zipforce for details.. they will assist you better than me ;)
How many NMs of torque at highest assistance levels? And how well does it perform if the tiers are wet?
Hi, unfortunately I don't have this information. I haven't ridden in the rain, but going through some water puddles isn't a problem. I am still testing it btw ,, cheers
How does it stand up to mud and water on the tire, does it clog up?
I didn't have much problem in the snow but I will run better tests very soon. Keep tuned..cheers
This is like a modern version of the Sincair Zeta 😊
Thanks
Motor ou coletor de sujeira da roda?
hate to say this, but the had a gas motor version of this for bikes, donwside...it chewed through tires pretty good lol
Erinnert irgendwie an den Antrieb der SOLEX-Mofa aus Frankreich
If you use it a lot expect to go through tires like crazy
Thanks
Need me one of these
Thanks dude
ممتازة يا ريت يكون فية منها فى مصر
Love to get one of these as I travel a lot Internationally. Apparently the battery is small enough to take on a plane. And once at destination I can buy a good mountain bike for about $120 new enjoy riding a couple weeks, take the motor and mount off and give the bike away to someone that needs it. One thing though. I am in Costa Rica and we have throttle control and 1200 watts power and top speed of 56 KPH available. Also many is not most hills are 20 to 35% grade. One known to be 41%. So I prefer more power. But anything is better than walking. And I need the assist on uphill grades being 76 years old. Big turn off on rental bikes is that clause of paying $2000 if lost, stolen etc. I'm not about to pay $2000 for what at best is a $150 bike.
That'd be awesome for you, Sir! Not sure if you can snag it on planes, though. It's mostly sold in Europe, and they often have killer promo prices. I've had mine for a bit, and it's been rocking so far :)
Very nice 🙏
Thanks brother

Sir we r in tamilnadu I am R.Srinivasan I want to know when its running in tamilnadu roads there is cowdung, drainage water and rainwater so it will standes
We call that a vélo solex in France. It is known since decades!
How does it know to stop working when you brake?
The pedal sensor, as soon you stop cycling cuts the power off
Whether it can be used during rainy season
no problem at all
cool.
Thanks Renato, cool and very good as well :)
Well that sucks for other countries then, I cycle at about 34-35km/h for I've got to ride with the traffic. Riding at 25km/h as a "brake" since you probably won't challenge the motor over that speed is actually highly risky. I'd be flattened first ride. There should be a 40km/h alternative version, since that's the speed limit in slow roads and half the limit in express lanes (minimum speed). Nevertheless, absolutely awesome design.
Thanks... I agree .. unfortunately the EU regulations for ebikes is 25km/h max ... the funny thing is that the super fast road push bikes can cruise at 50/60km/h on the roads with no problems or control!
@@BK42Cycles exactly! Damn politicians ~~

Hi can you help me where can I order zip force kit

Thanks :)
I bought a gas model back in the 70's. Only real difference is the battery/electric
Thanks
How much the price of ZIPFORCE, is it available in the Philippines.
Unfortunately they sell in Europe only :( tks
А почему бы просто не взять с собой павербанк🤝
i think you will need to replace the tire rubber every year, when you use it often. Because of the friction
That is fine to me :)
Is it waterproof?
Has anybody tried overclocking their ebike with a zip force type add-on?
Ist der Accu austauschbar?
Leider nicht, dass ich wüsste. Danke fürs zuschauen
So how long can I expect that tire to last. 50 years ago i bought one powered by gasoline. Thats why i ask.
Francis I'm sorry but I cant answer you yet. I will try to make an update video in 3 years or so ;)
Thanks for commenting

Sounds like it’s too hard to get these aboard a cargo airliner due to fire risk. Ground shipping only.

how much is this kit
Revolutionary? that's for sure 😆
Esta super, cuanto cuesta y donde lo puedo comprar
Gracias Jorge, puedes encontrar todos los detalles y su enlace de tienda en la descripción
As this option is not suitable since it has more tire wear due to the 2 flexions that occur, one on the ground per route and another in the grip of the equipment to the tire... In other words, you would have to buy a tire in less time than what a normal one lasts you.
Look up the solex 🤣 not new but reinvented with electronic. Those things are probably 60 years old
70 лет
although this might be the easiest e-bike conversion kit, that benefit becomes a negative when considering the inefficiency created, firstly normal front wheel conversion kits are almost the same level of difficulty, replacing two nuts on the front wheel and placing a new wheel isn't exactly rocket science, then screwing the battery in place being not difficult either, with the benefit being now you can ride a lot faster with less energy being wasted in friction with a two wheel system, i love the concept because how simple it is but as a commercial product it's not the best idea
can I order thru Lazada or Shopee
I am not sure Dante. Please try to contact Zipforce before buying elsewhere. Cheers
I wish it was available in the US.😥
Thanks buddy, maybe they will be soon ;)
