After that I started building my own bikes and designed them to use about any style battery I wanted. But too I discovered a black and red 14 gauge wire and a little ingenuity I can put about any battery on any bike.
The reason I bought it nearly was that it can be attached to all bikes without tools. One of them would have been a Brompton but it is now completely unsuitable for that
I will NOT buy this motor UNTIL They sell this with an easily removal bar bracket that just clamps on and off without the need to screw anything and that self calibrates onto the wheel without using an app. I use Citi Bikes on the street bike ports that are not mine. Everyday I use a different bike. I can't be taking too long to screw and adjust this on different bikes every day. When a company invents a motor kit that I can attach and go in a few seconds then I will immediately buy it. But like most products on Earth it always takes years of evolution to give people what they really want. Sad.

Kind of digging the loose pack battery. I can see that alone being worth getting this system if for anything a great travel buddy.

Makes the system future proof. A lot of ebikes have proprietary battery packs making it economically unfeasible to own.

I don't think there's a way to use this with a bike rack, which greatly limits it's usefulness.
