After Defeating Miraak, What Happened To The Dragonborn?
Вставка

- This is a question that gets passed around a lot. Is the Dragonborn still alive? Where did he go? We know where the protagonists of Morrowind and Oblivion are nowadays, but what will happen to Skyrim's protagonist?
Be sure to leave me comments regarding what your believes are as far as whether or not you believe Side Quests are true Canon or not; and whether the protagonists of these games really did partake.
Can we say the dragonborn did in fact kill the emperor?
Oh and for those of you wondering about the Thumbnail, I believe it is some community member's interpretation of how Miraak's face looked like; probably after absorbing a countless amount of dragon souls.

After The Dragonborn did everything he could possibly do (struck deals with all the Daedric Lords, assumed the leadership of every faction, became a Thane in every Hold, etc) he got bored, and decided to explore new lands.
Unfortunately, he was caught trying to cross the southern border into Cyrodil. The Imperial guards ambushed him and delivered a fatal blow before he had a chance to react.
He awakens in the afterlife, sitting in the back of a wagon that seems all too familiar... but the sensation of familiarity passes as he realizes his hands are bound.
He returns to Skyrim a prisoner, headed to the executioner's block.
Dan Sharrar I like this scenario. No matter how many times the Dragonborn has always done what he/she is able to be made to relive or be made to redo if mistakes are made according to Akatosh
damn so its a groundhog day scenario
We cant die to mortals
New kalpa? LOL
You mean me every two minutes into a playthrough?
Dovakiin is dead. Died after Lydia stepped on a trap.
ROFLMOA
Ahaaaahaaaa!
that moment when you killed Lydia because she stopped making you sandwiches
I know rigth
I am more scared when my follower goes out of my line of sight in a dungeon than the draugr trying to kill me. Its like a time bomb for something to go wrong.
Being the Harbinger of the Companions, the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, Guild master of the Thieves Guild, Arch-mage of the College and a high ranking officer in an army (did I miss any?) he is probably at a desk doing paperwork, 16 hours a day.
Killed Potema , also has all the daedric artifacts, has a lot of houses has a wife kids , two undead horses , potential High King, killed Alduin , Leader of the blades and so on and so forth
+Cmar two undead horses?
Well Brynjolf runs the thieves guild day to day at least, but I doubt what difference that would make...
***** Oh yeah I forgot about shadowmere
Dragonbreaks solve that though, by having them being alternate timelines connected in the Dream of reality vaguely.
Molag Baal: give me your soul

The dragonborn took an arrow to the knee and became a guard
Actually in Nordic time the term "I took an arrow to the knee" was slang for getting married. So when I says that he means he stopped adventuring and became a guard after he got married.
Casey Dixon Bethesda said that it false. They said it actually means that he got shot in the knee with an arrow.

Lol according to them I sure they all were

Sometimes when I play and die I imagine if I was actually playing canon. ''And so the tale of the dragonborn ended by being mauled to death by a bear on his way to riften.'' -BAD END
- Grandpa how did the Dragonborn die and Alduin is about to destroy the world?
- He jumped from the bridge of the College of Winterhold to the river bellow. He missed.

I always thought that there was a door through the midden. Because I though the drop was so high it would be a death zone.
Nutto666 im laughing so hard at this
There's actually a mod for that - it's called "Dead is Dead - Death Lasts Forever". It really changes how you approach the game and also build your story when you only have one chance to get it right
The Dragonborn died while underestimating a giant and taking a one way ticket to the moon.

All the side quests ARE cannon but not in the sense that the dragonborne was the leader of all the guilds at the same time.. the stories happened but history will simply remember the events with vagueness such as "the listener killed the emporer" not "the dragonborn became listener and killed the Emporer." As if it were all done by different random people although as a game, you get to play out those stories.
Game = Dragonborn did all that stuff
History = vaguely titled, different people did those things.
It's never specifically said but it's implied, almost winked at "The fighters guild sent in one of their members to the black marsh mercenary guild (or whatever the name was) to discover and destroy the Hist tree" as opposed to "The hero of kvach was sent to discover and destroy the hist tree..."
See what I'm saying?
SpooN04 ... I have to say that is a good way of looking at it.

Honestly, all I want in the next Elder Scrolls is to walk by a guard and hear him say, “You know, legend tells of warrior in Skyrim who could kill dragons and absorb their souls! But that can be a legend…right?” as he starts to walk away before finishing his sentence.
*only be legend
i prefer listening guards saying ''do you know that a lot of persons in skyrim where adventurers but they became guards cause someone wounded them in their knees with an arrow?''
elder scrolls VI: you are in a scripted scene with exactly that, then the game ends (full price) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
well the next elder scrolls is skyrim remastered so, you'll hear the classic 'i took an arrow to the knee'
Which would make no sense as an aroow in the knee is a metaphor for marriage.
The Dragonborn settled down and had some kids and is now a old man telling stories about his battles and adventures to all who can listen. Just a thought.

i think that was why the heartfire dlc was made
That’s fucking precisely what I did! But I’m a vampire though.
if the other two DLCs are considered canon could than mean that hearthfire is too? maybe the dragonborn just settled down with a family at Lakeview manor or something?
Dominic Morris yer but its was dawn guard then hearthfire then dragonborn. That's the canon order
Lt Cowson he/she could easily have gone back to their hearthfire home after dragonborn
Dominic Morris sorry to break it to you but....dragonborn leaving after killing mirakk is....not canon
Lt Cowson this whole video is conjecture on what's canon and what's not.
Dominic Morris I know that but like people have said only quests that are canon is main story, dawnguard, dragonborn and hearthfire but it ain't a story dlc. Your character is 100% serving herma mora now even if he did get out he's trapped in his own little hell

The Last Dragonborn? He was a mighty warrior. He had the skill of the greatest assassin, the strength of the mightiest god, the knowledge of the grandest scholar. Selfless, too. In fact he was too selfless. Had no idea how to live for himself. Every waking hour he was doing one of two things: Helping people, or becoming able to help people. He saw himself as a man blessed with the opportunity to make others' lives peaceful and prosperous. Those others, he didn't think of them that way. He thought of them as his people, regardless of race or any other arbitrary factors such as that. Despite his prowess, his intelligence, his skill, his heart, he considered all to be his equals, he loved them, he cared for them, and his actions reflected his heart. But he was never among them. He would assist, he would use their services, he would talk when it was necessary. But never, ever, would he mingle. He knew that despite all his thoughts and feelings and efforts, he was different and separate from others. I was the only person who ever got close to him, and I've heard his account of the story. Of his story. In spite of all of his talents, he was an outcast since birth, and his detachment lead to resentment. After being physically exiled from his home for his fits of rage, when he would unleash his powers on those he lived beside but not among, he fell into anguish. He had slain so many of the people who tried to love and accept him. They tried to fit the square in the round hole, they tried to help that boy live a normal, happy life. But he had squandered all their efforts. Knowing no other option, he prayed, and he read, of philosophy and religion, surely something in these books could help him at least live with himself, to sleep at night without a dagger clutched to his chest. Through years of isolation and discipline, he heard one voice speak back to him as he spoke to it.
"There's a horse nearby, take it, and ride it straight forward, it will take you to where you are needed."
He dropped all self worth in his isolation. He obeyed the order without another thought. And he saw immediately what he was needed for. He had sinned and he spent all the rest of his days atoning. But, I could tell, that that wasn't the reason he never stopped. A quarter of his exploits could cleanse a wicked demon of sin a dozen times. No, from the very start, he realized the good and worth in making others smile. Making others happy. Sadly, he never smiled back. His deeds weren't easy, his prowess was put to the harshest test every day. His past and his hardships weighed on him like shackles, scarred him like blades, and burned him like flames. He sacrificed his joy, his well-being, his very life for the people of Skyrim. And the damnedest part of it all?
None of us ever knew his name.
well at least the jarl of falkreath know his name.

My theory is that Hermaeus Mora and the Dragonborn struck a deal where Hermaeus Mora gives the Dragonborn immortality in exchange for the Dragonborn exploring the world and giving all the information to Hermaeus Mora... hence all the non-cannon side quests you do in the game...
Or that hes still traveling through space from that giant he attempted to fight...
SkurtisPlaysGames I don't think he ends up serving hermaeus mora. I think the story shows how close he comes to serving him.
I hope he comes back in the next tes and he helps save the empire and defeats the aldmeri dominion.
the two invented hentai together...
Slavik Chukhlebov I wanna play Skyrim again just to spurn daedra now.
he doesn't serve hemeus mora, they become bros, hermeus mora gives knowldge to eventually archive godhood, LDB kill the enemys of hermeus bro

@Evangelos Killer mike calm down kid
@Evangelos Killer mike Skyrim is a good game, but 90% of the quests(including the main quest) are some variant of "go here and retrieve X item" or "go here and kill X person"
Woah you just killed a dragon I am in awe of your power, can you go get my favorite cast iron pan
Let's take a moment to realize The Last Dragonborn is unfairly overpowered, whereas I am fairly normal by comparison. In my world, being chased by 50 dragons can't be avoided by hiding behind some rocks or under a wooden overhang. The rocks would melt, the building would go up in flames. The Last Dragonborn can *stop time* and completely change their armor, weapons, etc. in an instant.. The Last Dragonborn's metabolism is batshit insane. If they are near death, they can stop time and consume enough food to feed an entire village for weeks (and not get fat), and have all their wounds healed in an instant. Not to mention that repeatedly undressing and redressing in enchanted clothes and chugging a few potions cannot make me a god..
not to mention reality warping(Mods) so they can absorb dragon souls on death like you, but any realm, get themself a superpowered army of sexslaves, can ignore Daedric princes, like never speak to or play along with that Herm Mora guy after replacing his dragonborn toy and have parallel consciousness over multiple timelines
@Egolo Egman /woosh
@Egolo Egman the joke is that Miraak (through the roleplayer) is specifically complaining about the gameplay privileges of the player character, because from the perspective of the final boss of the DLC, the Last Dragonborn is a reality warping juggernaut.

becuse he was more dragon then he was ever human.
Don't forget, Sheogorath mentioned "a fox" to Pelagius over dinner. So it is safe to assume that the Thieve's Guild is canon and the Hero of Kvatch did steal an Elder Scroll.

Not sure if someone mentioned it, but the Dragonborn being a direct creation of Akatosh, means that the latter has the last word of what happens to his soul.
The dragonborn can sell his soul to rach daedric prince and they would never be able to collect it due to the nature of it. Being a dragon, thus a creature outside from the plane of nirn and more than likely, directly linked to Aetherius.
The "what really happened" can be explained via a dragonbreak. There is a theory that all games are being seeing through an elder scroll and thus, causing all timelines to come together then it means all probabilities happened.
Anyways, that's my two cents.
K
remember that Akatosh has the last word of what happens to the dragonborn's soul and Miraak betrayed the dragons, it seems pretty fitting to me that akatosh decided to turn his back on Miraak just as he did with his on kin (is the dragonborn a brethen to dovah, anyway?)
The question then is:
what does Akatosh think of the dragonborn after we kill Alduin? is he mad about it and lets us rot with Mora? (i mean, Alduin wasn't supposed to die! he was meant to destroy the world and he eventually will come back to make it happen!) or is he happy that we saved the world and his creation and pulls us out of there?
true, didn't think about that.
Now, the video literally just said that any other deadric pact where you sell your soul is NOT cannon, but what WOULD happen if the dragon born makes a pact with another deadric prince but then Mora imprisions him? are some deadric princes stronger than others? i would assume that daegon is the strongest?
+Thijs van Piggelen Well I killed Jyggalag so I don't think he'll be a problem anymore
A guy who's a hero for cannons Jygalagg is not dead, in fact i believe it's imposible to kill a daedra, let alone a deadric prince while IN obivlion!
i guess the cannon ending is that the Dragonborn becomes Mora's champion, i'm okay with that, he's one of my favorites along with nocturnal and hircine! :D
He is probably glitched in some rock formation or in jail for violating Braith.
think there are more charters in each game like if the dragon born was a warrior hes not ganna join the thives guild another charter like a darkelf or a woodelf we can play ever apex race the story ooooffff skyrim and I mean ALL QUEST is not just for dragonborn I mean he can be a compainain or a arcane mage but not a theif and assassin that's for other charters

Well in my story the Dovakin built a house from the ground up for his wife Ysolda after staying at her tiny house since moving to Skyrim. He then adopted that little girl on the bench he past every day when running back and forth from Skyforge and Warmaidens with butt loads of Iron. He went and found Lydia the Racist. Though all her racist crap about Skyrim belonging to the Nords she still took care of his Redguard ass when he needed it. She came to look after his house, Serana also joined them, refusing to leave Dovakin's side. One day Dovakin remembered he had left some stuff back in Whiterun so he road out. When he got there he was approached by a giant of a man covered in Ebony armour. It was strange to him, no one other than himself and Deadra wear good armour. The man approached him and challenged him to a fight. Feeling the thirst for one last adventure he travelled with Shadowmere until he reached Last Virgil. Where the man known as Ebony Warrior awaited him. He was a challenge for the Dovakin, though all his Iron dagger making he never thought anyone would be able to best him. After a hard fight he won. He looted the Ebony Warrior and returned home. He dumped everything he had in a chest. But the feeling never left him, that there was someone out there that was almost as strong as him, what if there was someone stronger? That night he left, Serana body blocked him at the door. He commanded her to wait and got on Shadowmere and left. His wife and child never saw him again.
Stories often surface, finding their way back to Ysolda. About a man eating everything he lays his eyes upon, running around casting Muffle spells, standing in front of giants with nothing but a shield, attacking and healing his red eyed horse. Some say he lost his mind, but there are some who say he is on a quest to become the best.

wassupjg Did you know "took an arrow to the knee" is actually slang for getting married
Scary Raptor No. It's not. Bethesda said it themselves.
I think the last dragonborn was too powerful to be contained by mora, but of course mora did not want him to know this. So mora deceived the dragonborn to question himself and follow mora's path accidentally. If you go to nurrellion (or the wizard who helps you find the black book, i dont remember his name) then he will examine you and see no signs of mora, which means you are not his servant.
If you powerscale TLDB you'll find he's stronger than Lorkhan as a weaker Alduin could defeat Shor/Lorkhan and the Dragonborn beat Alduin. Thu'ums are not magic but creation. A Fus Ro Dah actually creates the force of the shout from nothing. The deadric princes are far below that in terms of power.
This is a good idea. You could be right.
Isnt it stated that the LDB is about half as strong as a daedric prince? So yah he probably couldnt keep him trapped, could kill him if he wants though.
his name is Neloth Telvanny - leader of the great dunmer house of the same name ... creator of Tel Mythrin and the wisest among the mages within the house of telvanny.. arrogant to a fault .. he even says when you get high enough levels and ask him to train you.. that he could, but it wouldn't do much good to have you become better than him . and you are right he says that you are not poisoned by hermaus mora's influence .. aka you did not become his servant.. otherwise you would have been corrupted and gotten the so called Benthic scream shout - which is literally described as such: The power of Your Thu'um is corrupted by the influence of hermeaus mora
to add further... it is not actually a shout, but an active effect, applied to your thu'um like force without effort which you get from paarthurnax ;)
I feel like the Dragonborn was just like "Meh" Through-out the entire Skyrim game. "Go kill this person Dragonborn" "Meh. Ok" "Go steal this thing Dragonborn" "Meh. Ok" "Go sell your soul to this god Dragonborn" "Meh. Ok"
Chef Takahashi He's got enough souls to go around.
+poiuytrewq11422 maybe no dedric princes have his soul in general and he/she played the fuck out of all of them giving them dragon souls instead
no he sells his dragon souls instead of his
And I can't help but giggle over the thought of all the Daedric Princes getting into a fist fight over the Dragonborn's soul after he/she dies of old age... all except Sheogorath, who watches with amusement and offers the Dragonborn come cheese covered popcorn.
+Silverserri That was my exact line of thought while playing Skyrim. Minus the Sheogorath part.
It was actually stated in an interview with Todd Howard that all the events in the side quests in skyrim (with the exception of the civil war) were canon. They all happened like they did in the game, however the dragonborn may or may not have been the one who brought these events into fruition.
That's impossible for 1 reason the player.can either up in or destroy that dark brotherhood
games and glory it doesn’t matter because whatever you choose the brotherhood gets destroyed anyway and the black dude and vampire girl lives either way
@@Firerat2000 The life or death of the Emperor is pretty important though.
Malicious Crackhead I think the death of the Emperor is canon because somebody else would’ve ended up killing him instead of the Dragonborn, since once of his own officials performed the Black Sacrament.
Of course Todd has to say something stupid and ruin the story and flow.
Well, one quest we can say for sure happened was when you tell of that kid in Whiterun for Bullying
Tbh I'd love to see the LDB become the 10th Divine
But why would he be able to ascend and not the Hero of Kvatch or Nerevarine
Tadhg Knight I think maybe it could have something to do with him being Dragonborn and defeating Alduin? It would be cool but there’s not really something grand he did that the Hero of Kvatch or the Nerevarine didn’t.
I sometimes imagine the last Dragonborn is a reincarnation of Akatosh who has been dormant since the Oblivion crisis; with every dragon soul absorbed they grow closer to apotheosis, to ascend back into godhood as Akatosh and end the 4th era Dragon Crisis. There must always be a god of time, so perhaps Alduin was sent ahead in time for Akatosh to later secure his own return. I also wonder what price the last Dragonborn paid Hermaeus Mora to escape Apocrypha; did they relinquish all captured dragon souls, the means of Akatosh's return, to Hermaeus Mora? Is the god of time now enslaved by the god of knowledge and fate? Did Hermaeus Mora orchestrate the entire Dragonborn prophecy for personal gain?
mikfhan no none of those mora isn’t all that powerful. if he was he wouldn’t need the Last Dragonborn to defeat Miraak. He would’ve done it himself.
Honestly, I think it could happen, with Tiber Septim being the last known dragonborn and how he conquered and unified all of Tamriel. I think it would be awesome to see in TES 6 that the dragonborn follows the same footsteps as Talos.
Hmm. One thing that stuck with me as I listened to this was someone in skyrim (I can't remember their name I think it was a dragon or greybeard) said that dragons are always looking for more power, always looking to dominate and control everything and everyone and that you too share this ambition having the soul of a dragon. To me this cannonized all of the side-quests, looking for positions of power essentially everywhere, has the beck and call of the mages guild, companions, thieves guild and can even speak to the night mother. My dragonborn did every quest in the game basically and has this massive horde of treasure, gold and ancient powerful artifacts from all across skyrim and beyond, all horded in his keep in Markarth(inside a mountain). To me this screams dragon from any old tale. I think the dragonborn is going to constantly grow in power and control as much as he can, i mean.. maybe when he's done with tamriel he will set out to another continent to feed his dragonsouls desires(or perhaps from an immense impending threat). My theory about the dragonborn selling his soul to all the daedra, is that mentioned in this video even Hermaeous Mora himself doesn't know all that much about the dragonborns, they're a mystery to the prince of unknowns. Perhaps dragonborns souls cannot be given freely, maybe that's why the dragonborn can pretty much do whatever the hell he pleases. The other daedric princes may not know anything about the dragonborn, all they know is they want this mega-powerful being as a servant so they try to swindle and lure you into servitude. I think Mora knows this or at least has his suspicions. In my opinion Hermaeous Mora is the MOST powerful(or crafty/intelligent) of the daedric princes and even he could not bind a dragonborn(miraak) to do his bidding, all Mora could do was imprison him or kill him, not control him. Now my second and most hated theory is.. the goddam dragonbreaks, essentially this phenomenon makes every goddam playthrough cannon material(atleast in some other multiverse). so there's my opinion. I hope you agree with the first because I think it's a pretty goddam cool idea and I would love to hear old tales of the ''mighty dragonborn'' and all his massive crusades, museums full of ancient relics and his own private army trained by the man himself.
BlackAnd WhiteSolus The most interesting thing is...how does a Dragonborn grow in power? Through knowledge. The more words of power he knows, and the most understanding of those words he possesses; the more powerful the dragonborn is. Now what entity in the known world has the most knowledge, Hermaeus Mora. That's what i find interesting. Out of every possible thing a Dragonborn could do to get power, siding with Mora would probably be the most benefitial out of all of them.
Yes exactly, to my knowledge all of the princes except one, always reward the dragonborn with items of power like swords or armor. But if you're a near invincible badass those can only go so far, but knowledge and otherworldly powers seem to be infinite and will always trump material objects. Hermaeus Mora is the obvious choice for any powerful being with a long road ahead of them. And they're seems to be a trend with the hero's in Elder Scrolls games, they always gain power and go off to find their destiny, their own way of doing what feels right to them. And with the soul of a dragon? It seems logical.
To add to your hunger for power comment; Hermaeus Mora says at the end of the dragonborn quest after defeating mirraak, that you can continue to be "richly rewarded". Maby he knows that dragons have a hunger for power, and after studing mirraak for so long and learning from him, (trial-and-error), he is wetting the dragonborns appetite for power by offering limmitless knowlege. In an effort to have the dragonborn in even more of his direct control than mirraak was.
This is a cool thread. Also I believe it was Paarthurnax that told the Dragonborn about the dragons' lust for power, and how he overcame it.
it was ohdahviing
I saw a theory by a "Graenolf" on UA-cam where he talked about the possibility of the all these divine entities fighting for the soul of the Dragonborn when he dies. Or perhaps, Akatosh ends up keeping the Dragonborn anyway... or whatever
ImTHATGuy 500 Well I know my Dragonborns soul will go to Hircine for obvious reasons.
Oyfum by not knowing who Graenolf is, unless you're kidding.
JayDude003 no, not exactly, since your original being is being a piece of akka then you would always return from where you came, your blood gives you the ability to hold daedric or aedric gifts and suffer minimal consequence in the afterlife, not even sovngarde can claim you if you are nordic

I like to think my DB continued to adventure, just less and less as he aged. Eventually confined to Lakeview manor he lived out the rest of his days until he passed away and now is in Falkreath cemetery, where brave warriors belong.
sam raynes The cannon ending is you staying in Hermaeus realm of oblivion serving him, you're basically Miraak's replacement.
Right, let's not ruin my ideas :) I just wanted it to be less depressing. Mora seems like a nice guy (mass of tentacles) though.
My Character's ending is After Alduin, Miraak and Harkon were defeated he vanished leaving his Wife and Kids in Skyrim while he went off on another adventure but never heard from again....
sam raynes Mine got married to Aela the Huntress and was the leader of all guilds and ascended to God-hood half Daedra half Aedra. He would choose a new champion whenever his champion dies and they go to his own oblivion realm (because he's half daedra) and it's like Sovngarde but you are able to help defend Nirn from the other Daedra that ever attempt to take it over (like the oblivion crisis and Molag Bal trying to take over nirn in ESO) and you are able to return to Nirn and fight for good. One of his champions leads a rebellion to overthrow the empire (my DB sided with the Stormcloaks) that gained many soldiers from the Nords and other races that hated the High Elves. The rebellion was successful but there were rebellions against the champion. The champion ends up taking a side with one of the rebellions and crushes the others and killed anyone who opposed him. When this champion died, when he goes to that plane of oblivion that my DB has my DB gives him a sword that's like a dwarven blade with a daedric hilt, all made of ebony with rubies engrained into the hilt. The hilt is made of gold with the look of a daedric holy but the blade of a dwarven sword blade made of ebony. With this, he slays the daedra along side my DB, becoming the strongest non god in the universe of Skyrim
Didn't a little girl get buried in Falkreath cemetery? After being ripped apart by a werewolf? Yeah, real warriors are buried there for sure.
I highly doubt the Dragonborn ran straight through the main story without doing anything on the side in canon
Why wouldn't he? Alduin is his whole purpose.
You don't jus take a hiatus from fate to get blackout drunk with Sanguine and fuck a hagraven when you have a date with destiny.
@ Yes you do lol. Many heroes do. Not everyone can just do one straight thing for so long. Many people do multiple things at once, no matter if its important or not. ESPECIALLY getting blackout drunk, I guarantee you that most people who have the whole work on their shoulders as the Dragonborn does would get blackout drunk at least ONCE.

The events of the sidequests are recorded as happening, but it's hardly ever stated that it was the player character. (The ghost of Lucien Lechance references oblivions quest, for example) I think it would be cool if in the next game a bunch of guilds tried to get recruits by touting that the Dragonborn was once a member with no evidence to back up their claim.
The Dragonborn moved to Boston and started a family, and is now looking for his missing son.
Dragonborn is single who's father was a moth priest.
Yea, that sequel had such a disappointing backstory -_-;
The Elder Scrolls games take place in a persistent medieval setting filled with heroes, monsters and magic, where some heroes tend to stand out among others. I put forward that each play-through of an Elder Scrolls game is actually a story about that particular hero, being told orally by skalds, wise grandparents, teachers, drunks, or what have you.
Using Skyrim as an example, once upon a time a stranger came to Skyrim and, after slaying a dragon, was revealed to be the next Dragonborn. As you stated, everything that happens in the main questline (including the DLC's) are things that actually happened - think of the main story as the truth behind the legend.
Meanwhile, however, events were taking place in Skyrim that had nothing to do with the Dragonborn. After all, the world didn't just take a nap while the Dragonborn did his thing. A young mage joins the mage's college and quickly rises in it's ranks, solving some of the college's biggest mysteries and dispatching of it's enemies. A strong warrior is initiated into the Champions, where he discovers that the members are all wearwolves, and through his involvement the curse of lycanthropy is reversed. Meanwhile, a new assassin within the Dark Brotherhood plots the death of the Emperor.
All of these things happened, and all of these stories are true, but none really compare to the feats of the Dragonborn. However, as time goes on, and as is typical in oral tradition, the stories have been sort of... blended together. I mean, the tale of the Dragonborn is pretty interesting, but just imagine if the Dragonborn was also the arch-mage of the mages guild, cured lycanthropy, and assassinated the emperor? Now that would be a tale for the ages!
In short, the side quests in the game do represent historical events within that particular period in Skyrim's history, but the Dragonborn's involvement in many of them simply represents the creative license of story tellers throughout the ages in order to artificially inflate the legend of one of Skyrim's greatest heroes.
I agree with this, what the Dragonborn accomplishes in the main quest line is only what is seen as the Dragonborn's feats throughout history. Everything else that is a side quest, is somewhat up to the player to decide as their own story in their own game but will never be seen as the Dragonborn's accomplishments.
in those side quests. Noone talks about you being dragonborn
Mete Başdemir Yeah, to them you're just some guy.
Darknal took the words right out of my mouth
I think it's more this: You get to choose what your canon is.
I don't think the Dragonborn becomes a servant of Hermaeus Mora, I think the whole point of the dialogue is to show how close the Dragonborn was to becoming a servant of Hermaeus Mora. I'm mostly basing this off of the conversation with Neloth after defeating Miraak:
Neloth: Hold still. Let me get a good look at you.
Dragonborn: What are you looking for?
Neloth: Incipient madness. Loss of self-awareness. Black spots in the whites of the eyes. Any of the documented indications of Hermaeus Mora's permanent influence. Hm, no, you look fine. At least no different than when I first saw you.
This set of dialogue really doesn't seem to make much sense if going with the theory that the Dragonborn does indeed become a servant of Hermaeus Mora.
I don't think it really means anything though, after all, being his champion does not mean that you're under his permanent influence, unless he for some reason can break the rules of other daedric princes, look at Boethiah, for example, she sends you to kill her former champion, because he stopped serving her, if being a daedric prince's champion meant being under their permanent influence, why would Boethiah do that?
The Innocent Potato i
The Innocent Potato because boethiah is known to demand the blood of anyone, even her followers. Just because she sent you to kill a champion doesn't mean that the others can all of a sudden lose you as a champion, she just wanted him dead, as her nature as the prince of deceit, treachery and revolt against lawful authority.
*dictates.
just cause Neloth said he was fine doesn't mean he will be fine or even that he is.
He did kill Alduin, Miraak and Harkon, The side quest is what he could've done and he lived the rest of his life of clearing out the remaining dragons
Huh, i don't think so.
Because Dragonborn mission is to protect the world, not wiping out dragons.
I doubt he would kill Parthurnax, Ohdaving and all the others friendly dragons.
***** proof?
Jeffrey Manson. no thats a optional side mission. you do not have to kill paarthunax for the main questline. you can do it to join the blades faction but you don't have to kill him in order to complete the main questline.
yeah then the greybeards hate you and your like why you gotta be like that fam sad face :(
You "kill" Alduin. As far as we know he cannot be truly killed. The world eater is needed for the cycle of the world to end (without a world eater the universe doesn't end like it should have). Like one of the greybeards mention when you defeat Alduin, maybe he will return at the end of time to fulfill his duty as the World Eater since you didn't absorb his soul, probably because you cannot absorb his immortal soul.
Alternatively, we might have killed Alduin for good. In which case maybe the next game we'll be tasked with becoming the world eater to end the era and start the new world(as a new character with some godly privilege from Akatosh. Unless Akatosh had taken the form of Alduin, which most of Tamriel seems to believe.. Wiki does state that "Akatosh is Alduin" is a misconception, though. But who knows.)
There are plenty of villains to pick from. So it's probably not going to head in that direction. But perhaps we will see a new World Eater tasked with ending the world in future Elder Scrolls games?
Here's why I disagree with several of your points :
1. In Mora's realm, Miraak controls the daedra of that realm. I have to assume that because Miraak was immune to Mora's lure, he was in control of himself.
2. Mora needs the LDB to face off against Miraak.
3. If Alduin indeed created Dagon, LDB is on par with daedric princes.
4. Miraak thought that with his and LDB's power combined, he can overpower Mora. LDB absorbs Miraak. Now S/He can say F you to Mora.
DIPTANGSHU MISHRA THANK YOU! Not to mention the last dragon born defeated alduin (who is a God & is part of the ancient Nordic pantheon) he didn’t absorb his soul but I think that doesn’t account to Alduin since he is part of the pantheon.
So The Last Dragonborn is pretty much stronger then Mora if you really think about it. S/he destroyed Harkon and The last vampiric snow elf. Dude is by all rights a Demi-God by the end of the Dawnguard DLC. So him being like FUCK YOU MORA I DO WHAT I WANT is a good claim and he has the right do what he damn well pleases.
To be fair dawnguard is pretty inconsequential, the bosses are nothing special really. Sure a pure blood vampire from ages ago but really just a Nord guy who reached 40 and became a pure vampire so he'd stop getting older. Really he doesn't have any more power than a group of like maybe 200 nord farmers and can die just like a goat if you hit him enough times.
Next is a generic snowelf vampire. Not a particularly potent strain or pure blood or anything. Jus a relatively old Falmer mage with a fairly common disease that he caught by accident. The only special thing about him is his race since all the rest died. Besides that he's basically just archmage teir.
Alduin on the other hand is basically a demi-god. Dragons are already a cut above the rest being the literal offspring of akatosh, the god of time - unchanging since they were 1st created. And alduin is the one, the world eater, his job is to destroy the planet at the end of each kalpa cycle so the next cycle can happen and so on forever and ever.
He's a force of nature on mundus. Killing him fr is like killing the seasons or killing the future. It doesn't even make sense. Hense why you can't take his soul at the end. He's not just a dragon, he's The dragon
And not to mention there is some form of evidence that the dragonborn may very well be the avatar of Shor
@@ShadowDarkHeart90 No, TLB is just that, a dragonborn. There is high implications that they are a shezzarine as well but even then they would still be no match for a full power deadric prince. Let's say TLB now has Miraak's "power", they are still no match. If the LDB fights Mora in apocrypha they physically cannot win no matter what they do because the realm itself is controlled by mora, and if they fight in mundus then Mora cannot be killed. Sure the dragonborn could say fuck off to Mora and im sure Mora would not be able to do much while the dragonborn remains on mundus. However if the LDB ever comes to apocrypha or reads a black book or the ohgma infinium they will get fucked up by Mora.
@@ShadowDarkHeart90 the LDB could probably match a daedric prince on Nirn, like Martin Septim did in is Aspect Form. But fighting a deadric prince in its realm is suicide even for the LDB
I personally hope that the dragonborn after finishing all of his tales in Skyrim he continued to adventure in the other provinces of tamriel and eventually ascended to god hood much like talos or in the very least became a figure of power that guided the people of tamriel and brought peace and prosperity for ages to come
Or maybe all these side quests of fabled tales of the dragon born they are never truly confirmed but all are believed by the people of tamriel
v1DeSiiRe1v Agreed, id like him to be come MORE
v1DeSiiRe1v I'm pretty convinced that the last dragonborn was mantling Talos all along, or is part of the Talos Oversoul.
Remember how ysgamor said shor the Nordic representative of lorkin said no one could leave but then you leave with 3 members without any question or nothing said about shor, also he's not there and you can sit in his throne. So my theory is no matter what happens after death you'll return to rule sovengarde. There's been 4 dragons of the north. One was ysmir who was used as shors avatar when summoned by the greybeards. And another was talos....
In one of my plays I escaped helgen (NO WAY) and went to riverwood. After going to Whiterun doing stuff for the jarl and finding out I'm dragonborn I was like "NOPE I WANT NONE OF THIS BS." So I wandered skyrim and found myself in falkreath. I did a minor favor for the jarl and like the place so I decided to buy some property. After a long period of construction with help from Lydia I fell in love with her. We married and adopted the young beggar in whiterun on a trading trip there. The last of my years ended knowing that the apocalypse happened because I did not want to die trying to slay someone with the title of world eater. I died a happy man.
Wait, do you actually die if you take too long to kill alduin?

When you return the skeleton key to Nocturnal she says something along the lines of "so, it seems another champion returns the key"
Okay so here's the actual quote "so.....once again the key has been stolen and a "champion" returns it to the sepulcher."
+Son Gohan Good point but the Champion of Cyrodil did'nt have to return it.
+Cairns Chaos The Champion of Cyrodil was the last person known to have the Key.
Yeah I know
Maybe. IMO i think that he ended up selling it to the grey fox or some shit and it ended up in the hands of a nightingale who returned it
Personally, I think the Dragonborn's soul is protected by Akatosh and that is why Hermaeus Mora had to let him/her go. Whereas he was able to kill Miraak because he had pledged himself to the Daedric Prince. But Hermaeus Mora just lost his servant and wants a new one, so it would be in his interest to keep it a secret and try and sway the Dragonborn to joining him.
You're really going about this the wrong way - trying to figure out which thing is canon and which isn't. The way the loremasters do it is that they implement a Dragonbreak (time-break from Akatosh the time dragon). A Dragonbreak means that time shatters into many parallel timelines due to some major event and until the issue is solved and time is healed, branching realities occur. As the loremasters put it, all those realities happened and did not happen simultaneously. Then the timelines merge and the result is a ton of people with messed up memories and conflicting historical records (like books in the game that clearly contradict each other).
NICE
Noice
Dragonbreaks were a clean lore cop out that I'm glad was implemented.
So kinda like steins;gate?
I like to explain dragonbreaks as the Schrodingers cat scenario, and you and your friend both look at the same time, for you it's alive and for him it's dead and both is false and true
I look at the different guild quest lines as different people. The dragonborn completed the main story, the dawnguard story, and the dragonborn story. All the rest of the quest lines also happened, but were done by different people.
Dragonborn did all the quest lines, how? Dragon Break.
We don't need a Dragon Beak for that. History doesn't really record every detail of every heroes adventure, just the major points. I mean, do any of the books in Skyrim mention everything the Hero of Kvatch did?
why does the dragonborn have to be the one to do dawnguard?
*****
that doesn't make sense. it's not even the dragon scroll you're reading in that part. also, I've played that questline, they never say anything about that. by that logic, you have to be the dragonborn in the civil war questline because they all refer to you as dragonborn. and tullius says the dragonborn killing ulfric would make a better song.
Red GeoBlaze The Dragonborn has to do the Dawnguard storyline because of Durnehviir. In order for anything he says to make sense you have to be the dragonborn.
I know I'm way late here, but I'd love to mention the fact that Sheogorath in Skyrim mentions butterflies, blood, a Fox, a severed head, and cheese when reminiscing about the Oblivion Crisis. These are most likely referencing the beginning of Shivering Isles, the Blood of the Daedra/Aedra main quest, the Gray Fox of the Cyrodiil Thieves Guild and the severed head of Mathieu Bellamont's mother. The cheese is most likely a reference to Sheogorath's Daedric Shrine quest in Border Watch. Assuming that this Sheogorath is the Hero of Kvatch (as it is heavily hinted at several times), this would mean that him mentioning the Fox and the severed head could very well imply that the Hero of Kvatch participating in both of the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood questlines are canon.
It could also imply that after becoming the mad god he watched with amusement the events of the dark brotherhood quest line and the thieves guild quest line from his throne. He is a god after all.
An Easter egg isnt canon you twat, he was alive during that time so he most definitely wouldve heard about those events, don't jump to conclusions you melt.
The hero of Kvatch IS Sheogorath. Some guy on youtube emailed Bethesda askibg this and the replied via email that he is Sheogorath
Sounds more like a joke
Lucky Star tell that to the shivering isles dlc
And it does actually confirm thus in Oblivion where you become Him
Elder Scrolls is you being who you want to be and doing what you want to do.
So if I want to give every Daedric Lord claim over my soul, I can.
Just imagine it like this. "Oh, you want my soul? And you? And you too? And all of you as well? Well, how about you all fight to the death and I'll go with the winner? Oh... Well, I guess you're all too puny, I'll just go with Sithis."
+TheRexDark I honestly imagine if a mortal really tried to pull that, said daedra would rip his soul to pieces and split the bits. The daedra don't necessarily need anyone's souls, they just love having new toys to play with. So if you try to play games that they don't like and they decide they've had enough, well, sucks to be you....
Black Joker
That's also a possibility. But then, maybe at least one or two of them will decide to fight anyway.
+TheRexDark ok I like the sound of that lol
+TheRexDark Well my dragonborn collected a lot of (dragon) souls, so in my imagination it would be like that: xonecole.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Oprah-You-Get-a-Car-Gif.gif
+TheRexDark Problem with that, the Dragonborn's soul is claimed first by Akatosh, so the Deadric Princes will find it difficult to retrieve his soul after he perishes.
He's dead now because ALL OF SKYRIM waged war with him after killing their sacred chicken. The End.

I'm pretty sure Hermaeus isn't all that powerful even in his realm. I think he has to let you go because at that point you are still a danger to him even in his realm. He has to first corrupt your mind because that's where he's strongest. After all even the hero of kvatch managed to wreak a bit of havok in oblivion and mehrunes dagon wasn't able to just stop them, so why would hermaeus have such power? Especially considering that he needed your help to get rid of Miraak and could only finish him off after you already defeated him. In fact it could well be that the whole impalement thing was more symbolic than anything. So I think he will very likely to attempt to corrupt him in the future and he's just foreshadows that with what he says. So I think that actually makes it more likely that the connection to Hermaeus will remain as far as lore goes.
Todesnuss yesterday, speaking of Miraak, if you throw his dead body off the place you face off against him, before he reaches the ink or tentacle ocean, his body disappears in a tentacle like mass, so your theory may be correct, probably one of the best theories I ever came across.
If mora was really that much powerful he would kill Mirak by himself
Mora is stronger then Miraak ffs, why do you think he had an entire plan to escape if he could actually fight the prince by himself? Mora obviously used us to kill Miraak because it was a golden opportunity to get shit done for him, it has nothing to do with being weaker then both dovakhins, not to mention it would make little sense.

This is kinda why I have several games that used the mod "Live Another Life" so I could create different characters to finish the side quests. Only one of those characters started the game normally and was in fact the dragonborn of legend. I may have gone bit too far in terms of roleplaying tho.....
The only thing that sucks is that you cant do the civil war (at least on the imperial side ive never done it the other way around) without reporting to jarl balgruuf that you have seen a dragon near helgen even tho your character never visited it
Same. I probably have like 5 of em, and not one has even come close to beating the main quest line. My favorite though has to be my Argonian thieve's guild member. Mishaps with an enslaved dwarven sphere got me kicked out more than a few times.
If you use "Skyrim Unbound" instead of "Alternate Start - Live another life" you don't need to become dragonborn to complete the civil war questline. You can literally just become a soldier.
@ Ungreatful Duck
Except that being dragonborn has nothing to do with the race of the character, nords just have more history using the voice but you should be given the option of choosing not to be dragonborn then what you said can work, forcing players who don't want to play a nord to not be able to use a game mechanic is silly at best. As for the guild thing, kinda makes sense. For lore thing about race, while what you say is true there are also people for example that are amazing mages even if they are not high elves or terrible mages despite being a high elf, the thing is high elves would have a easier time with magic general so many of the best mages would be high elves. With the race limitation thing you want to implement it would be less organic not more.

(Sorry for my bad english but i have uinteresting theory about Daedra and Dragonborn) What IF DB (Dragonborn) sold his soul to EVERY daedric prince, with a cunning plan in his mind: he travels all around Skyrim alot, and he saw a lot of cults of Daedra and read a lot of books about Daedra, and he knows, that daedra can be wery useful as allies, they can give to you mighty weapon, unbrekable armor or powerful spells, but they will take your immortal soul as payment. But DB needed these "gifts" to defeat Alduin. And he decided too fool the daedra and do a "little trick" - he sold his soul to EVERY deadra, and when the pay day will come, he will be like: Hi guys! Want my tasty soul? OK! But WHO of you will take it? And then daedra will start their tipical selfish squabble about who must have DB soul. And when they arguing about his soul, he can easily escape to Sovngarde, or Cairn of Souls, Or he can become a vampire and live (or UNlive?) all eternity in fancy gothic castle. Or atleast, he can become SO powerful and collect so much allies at his side, that he might rebel against Daedra like Mirak, but in his case daedra will have no champion to defeat him. (Sorry again for my poor english)
MrVlad12340 You've just given me an idea. I reckon it would be fantastically cool in a Daedric quest, if you literally had part of your soul ripped out and enchanted/absorbed into a weapon, which you're then given. You can only have it done by a single Daedra though and thus you would be that Daedra's champion, unwillingly or not after that point.
MrVlad12340 you only have one soul how would that work?

What If the DragonBorn becomes a Vampire Lord and therefore Immortal-then completes the Dark Brother hood and civil war quest for the Imperials-then takes up he/she's birthright as a DragonBorn Emperor/Empress except this time it's the Immortal reign of the Last Dragonborn
Fraser Whyte, then he would become like Miraak and a new dragonborn will slay him.
He is the LAST dragonborn
aye, maybe. dragons came back once, could happen again. but its not likely. you have a good point, i didn't think of that
Devin Corbin I don't think you understand, the prophecy states that the dragonborn you play as will be the last to ever exist, you kill Alduin, and nobody else is left to raise more dragons from the dead, Even Mirrak (sorry if the spelling was butchered ) made a comment during your final showdown that the FIRST dragonborn was to fight the LAST
I like to see it like this: The dragon born has done all the world has asked him to. He has battled the powerful Alduin and saved the souls of Sovngarde. He has fought with Miraak, the First Dragonborn, and proved his dominance. He even fought against Lord Harkon and his clan of Vampires, saving the land of Skyrim and all of Tamriel repeatedly and in his age he rests at his home and wishes to live out his life in peace. But Skyrim's civil war rages on. Every day brave men and women of Skyrim die fighting one another, brother killing brother, and in some cases Father killing Son. The Dragonborn cannot accept this. He has done much in his time on Nirn but there is one more thing that must be done. He must end this war but not in a way many would think. He takes no sides in the conflict. He sides with no one. He aids no man on either side of the spectrum and instead uses his powers to force the war to an end, bringing Ulfric Stormcloak and General Tullius together, something many thought impossible. Even the men themselves were in shock at how well the Dragonborn convinced them. Some men and women grumble about the unfairness of the situation. "The Imperials are foolish slaves to an Empire that cares not for them." "The Stormcloakes are radicalists who fight for a man who only cares for himself." The Dragonborn cares not for the ambitions of one man or the blind loyalty of another, he cares for Skyrim. With this massive gathering of men and women at his back, many loyal to him and praising him for ending this gods forsaken war, he takes them to the heart of Skyrim's problem.
The Thalmor.
They are in shock at the legion of warriors who back one man and a small shiver crawls down each of their backs as this image reminds them very much of the man who had conquered Tamriel many years ago. They send their strongest warriors and mages, diplomats and peacekeepers, all to simply ask the Dragonborn why he is here. With the sky above him booming louder than the Red Mountain of Morrowind upon its explosion, the Dragonborn speaks.
"I am here to say one thing. Leave my people be. The people of Skyrim have suffered long enough and I am here to put this all to an end! You and your Thalmor cohorts will leave Skyrim immediately... lest you face the full might of her army." A few chuckles came from the Elven fools but their head spokesmen did not even crack a smile.
"Do what you wish. We have won a war between your people before," the army of elves behind him readied themselves for battle.
"We will do so again." The Dragonborn took three steps forward, lightning crawling from the sky to the Earth with each precious step. The legion of Skyrim's people behind the Dragonborn prepared for war as well. He did not speak a word and with a large sigh the archers of Skyrim fired their arrows. The war had begun. It was long and bloody, many a life for both sides had been taken, so many dead that the Snow beneath their feet had become coated in red, the new snow that fell from the clouds even turning red itself. It is said the war lasted for days, neither side giving until the Dragonborn called forth aid from someone he knew he could count on. Odahviing. The massive dragon flies overhead and with his own mighty thuum he aids in the attack on the Thalmor who refused to give. The fight fell in favor of Skyrim and the Dovakiin exerted his dominance by blasting apart the Thalmor castle they remained in.
"Hear me all who seek to command my people! As long as I live, Skyrim will be in the hands of the Jarls who rule it! Any Thalmor who seeks to conquer my home again will answer to me!" The skies raged in fury at the sound of the Dovahkiin's voice.
"Skyrim is in the hands of its people and no one else!!" And thus the war there ended. The lives lost will never be forgotten. The people who sacrificed themselves so that Skyrim would remain free of Elven rule. It was now in the hands of the people. This was the last thing the Dragonborn did before his untimely passing... and the things he did for the people of Skyrim would not be forgotten by anyone.
Hail Dragonborn.

Holy shit that should be the script to a Skyrim movie👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
that was really good you should apply that for a movie
Best Ending! :D

Dragonborn is trapped in Apocrypha. No Elder Scrolls game has a "happy end" in the real end. In Morrowind you contracted Corpus and turned immortal, but you feel constant pain and agony and probably turned insane, so that's why he went to Akaviri I guess. In Oblivion you turn into the Daedric lord of Madness, after everything you did, you go crazy. In Skyrim you get trapped in Apocrypha for the rest of eternity, just like Miraak. Miraak even hints at it in the final scene, "congratulating" you for you new position as the champion of Mora, as he once was, so it can be that you'll be trapped there like he was.
+Vaynard Wolf But then how do you leave in the games? Also whats so bad about being the most hilarious badass in the entire canon, that's a happy ending in my books
you can also enter cities even if you're a Khajiit, James Lovatt, and that shouldn't happend, but for gameplay purposes it happen.
+Vaynard Wolf How is the nerevarine negatively affected by corpus disease? He is immune to the negative aspects of it.
ooOmegAaa
it's been a long time since I played the game, don't remember the details.
+Vaynard Wolf Actually, the cities just ban Khajiit from the caravans. Other members of the species are allowed in the city walls.
The Dragonborn probably never returned back to Tamriel.
After killing Alduin in Sovangarde they probably just stayed in Sovangarde because he lost purpose.
OR
He became the new Talos in the sense that he became a god. In that case he would stay in Aetherius. Probably in Sovangarde considering the Nordic heritage of the Dragonborn. From a lore sense not a race sense.
Either way he ended up in Sovangarde.
Another one is that he just explored Apocrypha and just started serving Hermaus Mora like Miraak. But a less evil version.
Regarding the side quests...
These probably were done by different people. An example is the Dark Brotherhood quest.
Titus Mede II died BUT the Dragonborn didn't kill him.
Regarding the Civil War...
Skyrim ends up in 2 ways.
1: The War resumes and never ends.
2: Skyrim splits up into two provinces. One independent, One part of the Empire.
So in short, The Dragonborn most likely left Mundus to go and explore Oblivion or Aetherius.
The side quests were done by someone else.
The civil war either splits Skyrim or it never stops.
Another thing to note is that the Dragonborn CANONICALLY built a house in Falkreath so it probably became a tourist attraction.
That’s very interesting but the Dragonborn actually built 3 house and owns 5 different house one in each hold lol but that’s if you overly rich and play to much like me and I would hope the Dragonborn stayed in sovangarde that place is so cool looking
Nah hell just be a whiterun guard telling other adventurers " I used to be the dragonborn until I took an arrow in the knee."

DRAGONBREEEEEAAAAAK!
No, just, just no.
My theory on what happened to the dragonborn in my playthrough:
After defeating Matcho Man Randy Savage the dragon born rode gloriously into the village upon his chicken mount until he was attack by cultists he needed to defeat miraak he went with his mounted gerbil to solstheim after much questing he kicked mirrak in the forehead became allied then after defeating Mayonnaise Mora they flew to the death star upon Thomas The Dank Engine
Beepis boi shut your sensitive ass up
Beepis never mind I just cried
That is what happenend in my modded game
Chayward vlogs how’s mayonnaise mora?
TheRealDetri good
You know the Dragonborn does kind of assassinate the Emporer in the Dark Brotherhood side quest, if there is another elder scrolls game they will for sure reveal if the Dragonborn did it or not...
Someone You Don't Know typically they make the games so far apart that very little is revealed about the previous game’s hero, so they can avoid deciding what the previous game’s hero did, like in skyrim, you don’t hear crap about the champion of cyrodiil
Someone You Don't Know If I remember correctly, it's generally accepted that some random dudes fulfill the side quests, while canonically, the dragonborn (in this case) only does the main story stuff.
You hear some things about the hero in Oblivion, like how someone allegedly stole an Elder scroll, but it's only ever in passing. Martin Septim was the one that took the glory in that story as his name had significance, and he sacrificed himself. The hero was just a random prisoner.
Unlike the Nevarine, who was mentioned quite a bit in Obivion, as he was a famous entity in his time. Yet all we knew was that after his adventures in Tes3 was that the went on a mission to find and destroy the Dwemer 'brass god', that Tiber Septim used to conquer Tamriel in the second era.
I imagine Tes6 will be set 100-200 years after Skyrim and we will hear similar stories about how he went on some other adventure and never returned.
Clark Hollingsworth apart from the fact that you literally stand face to face with him... people say this but we 100 percent know what happened to all characters in the past 3 games. warp in the West literally everything happened. morrowind he left for akavir. oblivion he became sheogorath (before you try to argue that he didn't, jygalag exists now, so sheogorath mantled jygalag. that means that he cannot be sheogorath and so there must be a new one, which we know is the hero of kvatch) so it is pretty likely that we will find out what happened to the last dragonborn.
the idea that Bethesda keeps it open ended is a myth. they just let you do the maths.
a random prisioner that become the most powerful daedric lord
100% sure the dragonborn its in apocrypthya helping herma bro to defend the realm while its learning how to archive godhood
Actually it turns out that dragonborns soul belongs to akatosh cause when you defeat miraak his soul leaves Mora's realm
Shatter Kings the Dragonborn absorbs Miraak’s soul because Miraak is a Dragonborn and therefore has a dragon soul.
Yeah plus they doesnt add up because when you travel to sovngarde there is 3-5 dragonborns in the Hall of Valor
@@iamdergen no, the last dragonborn does not absorb Miraak's soul, the same as with Alduin's soul happens.
@@johnsheppard5257 incorrect, none of those people are Dragonborns. They are Nord Heroes that learned to Shout.
@@Exxt3R what reason do the developers have to write a couple of lying nords claimingnto be dragonborn as well when you meet the?
Which I suppose theybwouldnt need one,but that's still the only explanation.
I consider that upon the end of the count of his days on Nirn, the Dragonborn's soul's custody will be disputed between all Gods, and a war between them will wage. The very creators of Nirn will have the advantage, but the Aedra and Daedra won't be much underneath. It is highly believed that if Dragonborn is (supposedly canon) Nord, they'll go to Sovngarde, regardless of their actions and allegiances pledged to other Gods, divinities or lords. Otherwise, I suggest it will be Akatosh, who bestowed the gift upon them that will claim their soul and do with it as pleased. It's highly unlikely Hermaeus Mora will have any control over their soul, since he can be denied in conversations and only unwillingly served. Since Alduin himself is also a God, he might have an encounter with Dohvakiin in the afterlife.
UNTIL THEN (how I'd like it)
4E, 201
The Dragonborn's blade pierces the ground as its tip is filled with the World-Eater's blood, and the atmosphere is darkened by his soul floating away. The mist forever clears, so does Sovngarde. The Nords' souls are at peace now. After being returned to Nirn by Tsun, Dohvakiin expresses his ideals to Paarthurnax, who in his wisdom agrees with the little but ingenious mortal standing before him. As the other nearby dovah circle over the tip of the mountain, Paarthurnax releases a mighty Thu'um, never heard by any before. One he just invented, with the purpose of attracting the attention of fellow dovah and dovah sos wielders. He explains to them that Dohvakiin wants to put an end to the civil war, by uniting the two leading powers of the war's participants against the much bigger threat:
THE THALMOR.
4E, 202
The dovah indisputably accept Dohvakiin's call for aid, after lots of preparation and resting. He then manages to persuade both General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak, to unite forces and create the New Legion, Liberators of Skyrim, from the actual threat. Their forces unite, they create new apparels for soldiers, leaders and even new Oaths, all swearing loyalty to Skyrim and Skyrim only, not the Emperor, not the High King. Since it is partially a rebellion, the leading forces of Skyrim decline the New Legion as an official Tamrielic armed force. They take the battle to the elves anyway, with all resources, favors, and rage they could pull out of anyone.
12th of Rain Hand, 4E 210
After eight years of straight war with the until then strongest force on Nirn, the Nords, Imperials, Bretons, Redguards and the beast creatures have eradicated the High Elves from Nirn. Summerset Isle becomes mostly abandoned, and the Khajiit quickly attempt to make those lands their second homes. They are allowed to do so, and they live in peace, among Argonians and the other peaceful elves. A treaty between the less-friendly races of Skyrim was signed on the last day of war against the Aldmeri, a treaty which would overwrite any laws specified by the White-Gold Concordat. Free worship of any God, or even human, each race would be given the possibility and even encouragement and support to return to their homelands and restart their lives, this including Skyrim.
Dohvakiin states among the Jarls that he wishes to live the rest of his life peacefully, not thinking of war or his past. But.. The Jarls convene. The Moot is once again. They dispute, for days, for months, if you believe the legends. Ulfric Stormcloak gives up his dream of becoming High King, since there is no more threat to lead the world against and most of his ideals are accepted by his former enemies, just as he accepts theirs. The Moot must choose, Dohvakiin or Jarl Elisif of Solitude. Jarl Elisif claims she's still the rightful owner of the Throne, but does not imply they should choose her. She actually picks Dragonborn too. The Moot has convened. The decision was taken.
4E 211
Dragonborn sits on the Throne of the High King. He gives high freedom to people to do as they wish, and in exchange the people change the New Legion's rule of not swearing loyalty to anything other than Skyrim, and they now add to their oaths "eternal loyalty to the High King, the Dragonborn, and the savior of this world"
He then invites multiple Guilds in Skyrim, like the Fighters' Guild to join arms with the Companions and the Mages' guild to join up and share knowledge with the Mages of Winterhold. The Dark Brotherhood becomes a public organization that fights against threats to the High King's life, basically becoming the High King's Elite Guard, and the Thieves Guild now turns to working to enrich all of Skyrim, and not just themselves, thus becoming the second formerly-malevolent-turned-public-and-supported organization, after the Dark Brotherhood. Despite their benevolent characters, the two organizations kept their names for as long as history recorded them. The Blades were also given liberty of practice again.
4E 215
Skyrim meets a period of economy booming, business increasing everywhere, lowest crime rate on Nirn and equality between races and genders. Dragons now fight only against wild beasts that threaten people, and in exchange dovah are gifted Vampires and other undead, however reasons unknown. Cyrodiil becomes one with Skyrim, as does Morrowind, High Rock and Hammerfell, thus creating the New Empire of the Dawn, while Valenwood, Summerset Isle, Black Marsh and Elsewyr unite in forming the New Empire of the Dusk. They eventually became united recreating Tamriel into a land that has never seen so much succes and triumph. The Dragonborn then decides to make children with Lydia, just so she can get out of the room and let the Dragonborn keep dreaming.
all of this ruined by some dark brotherhood member. reforming the group to be a purely assassin's group with the will and desire to kill. possibly some other group too. this IS tamriel... can't have peace for too long
Sounds like communist propaganda but ok
This sounds WAY too hopeful to be logical.
That ending was quality tho
You were right about everything but two things: The Blades were forcibly disbanded after attempting to kill Paarthurnax again.. By Paarthurnax and every living Dovah's Dragonfire/Ice Breath. Lidia failed to move out of The Dragonborn's way again and was Subsequently disposed of by the Dark Brotherhood who mistook the Dragonborn's frustrated shouting as a call for help from an attack. The Blades were THEN reformed as an actual group that served the Dragonborn instead of using him.
This is my Dragonborn's story:
He started out being captured by the Imperials and accused of being with the Stormcloaks. The beginning events happen and he eventually discovers that he is Dragonborn, but is very hesitant to accept the roll. The more he does the main quest, the more he begins to realize how important he is and how serious the dragon threat is. He goes through the main quest normally and is a hero after defeating Alduin but later decides that he dislikes being famous and heroic. So he returns to Brynolf and joins the Thieves Guild for a different life, but then abandons it after he finishes the thieves guild quest. He joins the Dark Brotherhood to embrace his inner darkness and becoming more of an assassin than a hero. After Astrid is killed, he regrets joining them and seeks redemption by joining the Dawnguard and falling in love with Serana and defeating Lord Harkon. He is then a hero again and goes to do the Dragonborn quest. After defeating Miraak, he recognizes his power and position and decides to intervene the Civil War of Skyrim by becoming High King, reuniting all of Skyrim and going to war against the Thalmor.

Over time I did his errands, got the blood samples, and picked up the Necronomicon Ex-Mora. I didn't read it right away, though. In fact, I never did. After taking care of Miraak I leveled up completely without it, and then I found a nice place. Specifically, the Aetherium Forge. I made my way to the middle of the lava and chucked the damn thing in. Then I made certain to position it so that it couldn't even be retrieved by telekinesis. Because screw Hermaeus Mora. He waited all that time to get his precious book out of the ice? Well it can roast in a fire pit instead, because I ain't his bitch. If he wants it he can get some other superhero to play fetch.

Why does everybody think TES VI will be Argonia? Either I've missed something or its only a rumor started by those weird blogs nobody pays attention to with just 2 paragraphs without stating any source of the information. I can start my rumor too.TES VI will be about Nazeems journey to the Cloud district.
+LosEagle I sure hope it will be about Nazeem's journey to the Cloud district, that would be the most amazing game ever.
I hope it's in argonia or valenwood

Well there would be a issue if it was in Argonia. I have been told and read that it would be to toxic there for non-argonians and if it was there then the only race we could pick from would be is Argonian, there is a possibility it might a DLC or something.
Also not sure if you guys keep up with the latest stuff of TES 6 but it has been delayed Indefinitely by Fallout 4. And people ((rumors)) are saying the earliest would could hear about TES 6 is 2017.

“You know, I was there for that whole sordid affair. Marvelous time! Butterflies, blood, a fox, a severed head... Oh, and the cheese! To die for.” Sheogorath says this in the quest ‘Mind Of Madness’. This could just be Sheogorath being Sheogorath, or it could be talking about the grey fox, “a fox”, from the thieves guild and Bellamont’s dead mother, “a severed head”, from the dark brotherhood. Therefore this could be proof that the side quests, or at least some of them, do actually happen.
Relopezgil MeliMig i agree with this strongly. it's likely that a select few (ones that are significant) are the ones that are canon, so for TES V probably the dark brotherhood questline for one. although i doubt it will be the LDB that did it seeing as it goes against their values shown in the main quests.
Relopezgil MeliMig how about the butterflies in the jar? When he mentions them?

I think it's possible to kill Hermaus. Honestly he couldn't kill Miraak by himself, he had to have the dragon born drag him down to a bloodied drained state before being able to effect him.
You have a good point. He obviously knew Miraak was trying to escape. If he was going to kill him anyway, why wait until you showed up? What purpose did Miraak serve that he kept him around to fight you? What if, and this just occurred to me, the Dragonborn's soul can never really die? Like dragons. People can kill dragons but they were revived by Alduin. That's why the Dragonborn is such a big deal. Because he can kill a dragon permanently. So what if Hermaus Mora could have killed Miraak, but not truly, since he had the soul of a dragon? And he needed you to fight him to make sure he truly died, since only the Dragonborn can destroy a dragon soul. Idk it's been a while since I've played I may be completely wrong. I forgot how exactly that fight ends.
Daedra cant die. they just reform in oblivion. Same goes with Daedric Princesses
+random username Daedric princes can't die, but can be seriously weaken if defeated in battle. It would taken them decades or hundreds of years before they can regain their full power.
+Eric McIntyre even the females are called Daedric Princes I'm pretty sure. When i went to the Shrine of Azura, the person said something like, "Hail the Daedric Prince, Azura."
+_Level_2_Sniper_ i meant to say princes, not princesses.
Personally I still believe to this day that after the DragonBorn had finally cemented his legacy (Following ONLY THE MAIN STORY!!) He travelled to the Imperial City to resurrect the DragonBlood Bloodline. I mean, after all he is DragonBorn and the last DragonBorn (Martin Septim) was heir to the throne and became emperor. Either the DragonBorn simply killed off the current emperor and decided to take the throne for himself or it was a matter of a debate. But I would love to think that this is a major possibility because if this is true, then perhaps there could even be a new possible outcome on the Civil war, maybe he ended it peacefully and struck a deal with the Thalmor or just wiped them all out and kept the peace between Skyrim and the Empire. Who knows...
@@RedTitan01 another possibility is he tried to claim the throne by force (nordic warrior....) eliminating the heirs , the emperors death could happens from Dark Brotherhood questline or not.But the thalmor could assassinate(or somehow get rid ) the dragon (maybe hermaeus mora) and the thalmor take Cyridal and in TES 6 (probably in hamerfell ) you fight the thalmor
That isn't how politics work
I feel like the dragon born did all of the quests, and just chilling with his family in one of his homesteads from hearth fire lol.... Maybe he will play a part in the next Elder Scrolls as a mentor or something, or maybe he is in apocrypha serving hermaeuous mora since mora is the main daedric lord in the dragonborns life.
Another thing I'm very confused with... If the dragonborn completes every thing on the game... U know how many people will want dragon born in the after life? I mean he serves nocturnal, sithis, 15 daedric lords. Maybe there will actually be a war in oblivion or something for the soul of the dragonborn lol.
Also regarding ur take on the peace treaty.... They say in the game that the treaty will be broken after alduin is slayed.. So dragonborn will take a side

I feel like the side quests are canon, to a certain extent. Sheogorath did reference events that only he would've known about by being there: The severed head from the Dark Brotherhood and a fox who was the Grey Fox.
Grey.... Really?
Antonio Abbott What?
Antonio Abbott It can be spelled grey or gray.
+Antonio Abbott It is usually spelt Gray in American English and Grey in other countries. If your gonna be condescending maybe you should know your shit first.
I'm amused that this comment chain is devoted to grammatical differences among countries as opposed to the Elder Scrolls. xD
In my head canon once all the big bads are dead, all the quests complete, the Dragonborn builds a few places to live, settles down with a nice local and raises 2 adopted children and 2 natural children. These four study magic, combat, thievery, and assassination. The mage later follows in his(or her) mother(father's) footsteps and becomes Archmage. the warrior joins the companions and leads them to many victories, the thief becomes a nightingale. and the assassin becomes the next listener.
Ya know, I kinda like that one.
My Head cannon is that my Dragonborn goes on a dragon rampage(Uses Dragons because annoying children, guard and nazeem pissed him off) and accidently created the fourth empire and become a god.
Bryan Manuel I like that one
My head canon is that the Dragonborn unites Skyrim for the Second Great War, going from Thalmor stronghold to Thalmor stronghold using the Thu'um to break down the gates and walls, his Nord army slaying all in his path. And after that settling down with his wife and daughters, farming and hunting. Spending quality time with his kids, teaching them to hunt, ride horses. Then in the evening relaxing on the porch with some mead, looking out across the lake by his manor. :P
don't forget all dagra qests
Also; the Guild quests are always fulfilled, and if in your games you didn’t do them, they are always carried out by someone, if not you.
It's simple.. he became a legend.. pratically a god among men.. to defeat such powerfull creatures as Alduiin, Harkon, Miraak, Karstag and The Ebony Warrior.. he is pratically invencible among men, who knows maybe he was called by the gods to become one of then like Talos.. (Yeah not that simple as I said before :p)
Also.. about the Canon stuff.. I believe the Dragonborn did everything there is to do in the game, but the player will only know that during the gameplay. But I'm not totally sure becuz some of the quests have different conclusions.. like, Join the Dark Brotherhood or kill then ? that sort of thing..
your right dude
+XFlamingAshesX Yeah it's possible, I think that the Dragonborn did everything that is possible in the game.. some of these things are bad and nasty but he is no perfect hero.. but a hero Nirn needed.. he, whats the problem of being a mass murderer if he killed the dragon who would destroy the world.. 😂
what about other dragonborns then
+A Perdue
Did the other dragonborns kill the first dragonborn? Or kill Alduin? Or save the entire world? Well, some did that last thing. But meh.
Skyrim is just a huge role playing game. we are given the ability to create the Dragonborns future however we want and that's what's beautiful about Skyrim. sure we may hear more about the dragon born in future games but I'm very sure Bethesda will make it seem logical to any path we want to choose in Skyrim.
My path involved amassing an army of children and assaulting Solitude....gonna be hard to explain that one in the lore books.

Silence shall engulf the land for a day, as all mourn. And then life will carry on.
+Badassbusiness12 Mine is a goat.
Is the Dragonborn killing the emperor for the brotherhood canon?
TheFabulousRBK well according to this video no. anything not the main story is a what if. that needs to be told in the next game.
(thats a quick rundown of the video)
TheFabulousRBK I think he is old and would die soon anyways
Regardless of the Dragonborns involvement someone requested the Dark Brotherhood assassinate the Emperor, and even if the Dragonborn had not joined they still would have attempted to assassinate him. The real question is if anyone else would have succeeded in his stead. It seems the Dark brotherhood is a shadow of it's former self so I'd assume it would be difficult to pull off.
When it comes to the Dark Brotherhood, all the murders would still happen in general. They are relentless in their contracts. Only the killing of the DB would be changed if you choose that path instead.
everybody seems to forget you can forfeit the Dark Brotherhood quests and destroy the Dark Brotherhood on behalf of the emperor
