Hey! Sounds like you've had some decent playlisting success already. Yeh, 7 weeks before your release date is a good amount of time to leave when pitching for officials. Good luck with the new EP!!
I start early in the morning when my mind is super fresh and I’m absolutely on it by humming a melody while I accompany myself with my guitar to see what I come up with. Once I have the guitar pick, I record it while singing on it so that I have the vocal melody almost settled. Then I open voice memos and I record the vocal so that I can just fit into the lyrics as I keep humming it while I make the beat. Once I’ve mixed the beat, I have more or less the lyrics done so I go into my closet and I start recording telling myself: please I hope there’s no echo in the recording😂 If there still some echo I literally go around my house to look for any other pillows to fit them behind the mic till it the recording sounds dry enough Then I mix the vocal along with the beat and that’s basically it Can’t really promise to get it done in 1 day but I do my best😂

Ditto makes it hard to get playlisted on Spotify because of the delay they take in approving songs. It approved my song a week before release date which makes it hard to get in because it puts you at the end of the line. It took 2 days to show up which left me only with 5 more days to have it pitched. I've even emailed ditto letting them know I want to make my release next month so that I can pitch it and have better chances (due to delay it took for them to approve and send to stores) but they still haven't emailed back so all I can do is hope 5 days is enough time for curators to get to it. Part of this video is not helpful when it comes to pitching on Spotify & ditto delay in sending to stores in time for you to pitch
@@Bigstunna. I've uploaded 2 MONTHS in advance, and still not been approved until nearly the day before release with Ditto. There were no obvious issues with the tracks that Ditto notified me of, and it did finally go through, but it was too late to playlist it. Ditto really needs to up their game here or else I'm ditching them for an alternative.
Also the daily playlist isn't working for me I'm trying to paste my song link in the box but it turns red which means it didn't work. I have use devices such as a phone and a laptop. Also I can't connect with Spotify it won't work

I’m already set to release my single thru ditto music on the 12th of this month . Would it be a lost cause to try to submit to the other playlist ? Being that I only got 11 days left and just tried to set up and claim my artist page after just seeing this . Also I really appreciate you

I'm just getting started but any help that you would provide would be helpful to me. And I do appreciate it and thank you. I'm 58 and I do a variety of music. Rock country Blues and I am studying hip hop right now and I am not picky about the music I play

You were at fault you were to choose your date 📅 for when you want your song to go live like me u used ditto I drop set days for 3 weeks

You can usually submit up to 7 days before your release date so it’s definitely still worth a try!

Is there any problem pitching to spotify playlists if you've never distributed music through Spotify previously?
If you pitch for Spotify playlists but you have no music Spotify then it wouldn't make any send directly.
On my artist account on spotify I don't see upcoming
