Excellent…….love those dirty swamp rats at the end, I’ve just gotta see Tex and the boys Bish. Breeders sounded good. I saw the Damned last year, I thought the Captain was particularly good. Rat didn’t play the show I saw, he joined the tour later. Live music…..yes Bish you’ve got me baby! D🎸
Doyen, you won’t be disappointed a pointed. They’re in top form. The only trouble is I’m not sure how well James is to travel. I never thought I’d see the Captain, Dave, Rat & Paul Gray. They were so good. Last time I saw the it was just the Captain & Dave. Love records, but live is where it’s at.
@@benrankins4446 Hey Benster, you misunderstood my friend. I’m not seeing The Beasts, they’re not coming here. It was just wishful thinking on my part, they are a band I’d love to see if they come to Blighty 😃 When are you going all Moosehead and travelling to HPLand?? D🎸
@@pc31thevinylpoliceman No you misunderstood me 😂 I was just meaning if you ever got the chance you’d love ‘em, but those chances are very slim because James is really ill.
I’ve regularly been going to gigs since I was 16 . Melbourne has always had a really great live music scene that is really diverse & you can see something every night local or international. The only thing better than going to a gig to me is playing a gig.
The Damned were great & it’s probably the last time you’ll see Rat, The Captain, Dave & Paul play. Kid Congo I’ve seen a few times & it’s always fun. His band the Pink Monkey Birds are killer too.
You know, after all these years I still love The Breeders. Oh damn! They still sound great! Kid Congo is fun. You could have just mentioned Nick Cave and we'd all been like, "Yep". Tell Mortal Sin I said, "Hi". Cheers!
So awesome ! I don't make it to many live shows, so I like hearing about this. on the 22nd, my nephew Jared is coming to town in his band Rivers Of Nihil. It will be Sean's 1st show ever. The Wailers would actually be his first last fall.
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I still see local & international gigs most weekends & play myself. I love it! If I was made to choose between records & live, I’d have to say live, but I’m glad I don’t have to choose 😂
Don't you mean Rat Scabies & Paul Gray back in the Damned? I saw the Captain and Dave play as the Damned in the 90's and I'm pretty sure those two have been together ever since.
Damn. Yeah I’ve seen them so many times too- always wonderful . Wasn’t too keen on Hamer Hall but happy they announced a Forum show to get up close and sweaty! Have fun OS!
@@Foul_Quince I find old man Van objectionable because he seems to be a complete knob and if that's his planned public persona that makes him even more of a knob...oh and his music is about as exciting as beige wallpaper. I really dig Them's two records with king knob though.

All great bands and they still have "IT"....!!!!
They were all in fine form to be sure 👍
Hey Ben! These are some killer shots! I've just started going to shows again myself. There is nothing quite like live music. Cheers!!!

You were in elementary school the last time I was at a great gig.
You should get out more often 😂 Just stirring 👍
So cool you saw The Breeders! Last Splash is one of my favorite albums of the 90's.
It was the first time I have seen this line up since the early 90's! I somehow managed to miss them the last time they were here. So much fun.
Nick in a grey suit. What days these are!
I’ve seen him in many different coloured suits over the years. Even a blue one! True story 👍
Nice! Im thinking of seeing the Damned soon in Toronto. Kid Congo would be cool to see and Nick Cave!

I just recently purchased 3 Miani Deutsch albums. Showing them Sunday Mike.
Mike, I love their records but they were about 1,000,000 times better live. Cheers…Mike

Hi Mortal Sin 👋 (?) All really great gigs & just saw The Hold Steady for the 5th time on Sunday. Those dudes still rock. Cheers…Ben
The Breeders and The Damned, Whoah.. So cool ! Beast Of Bourbon are a hard driving rock worthy band for real ! Thanks for turning them on to me 🎵
The Beasts kill it live!!

@@jtsrecordroom3963 Just the one at the moment. Just got a mix sent to me of the second track today.

They've still got it 👍Unfortunately poor James is probably not well enough to travel.
@@benrankins4446 in all honesty seeing those shots made me feel old, glad they’re still jamming but that rock n roll life leaves marks

Hey Ben! Beasts of Bourbon!
Hey Steve! Yes!
Wow you have been busy! You had me at Breeders👍
I love records, but live music is really where it's at for me. Funnily enough audiophiles don't seem to dig live music 😂

@benrankins4446 ok I wasn't aware of that. I thought Sensible had been doing his own thing for many years and had come back
Did you snag Dirty Three tix?!
I can’t go 😢 I’ll be o/s all of June. I have seen them many times in the past but I have a feeling this might be the last chance.

Doesn't Van Morrison tour in Australia?
No. he's only come here once in 1984? may have been early 85. He hates flying.
I wouldn’t know HP. I bet he doesn’t hate flying as much as I hate him 👍
