Outstanding rendition of this 60's psychedelic classic. The Surfrajettes have such a wonderful refreshing retro sound and they keep getting better and better.
There is so much to like about this cover of a truly classic retro track. Well done to these amazing Canadian musicians ... So Easy on the Eye as well!!
The first Suffragettes video I ever saw and still easily the best. The rest of the band beautifully complements Nicole's fluid, light touch. Thank you UA-cam Algorithm
I heard the Prunes do this as an impressionable teenager and loved it ... I now watch this as a smitten septuagenarian ... love you ladies and your musical talents!! 🥰😍🤩
The Surfrajettes, I love them! I've always loved that old song by the E-prunes. I got to see The Ventures play many years ago, and would love to hear (and watch!) The Surfrajettes do "Walk, Don't Run".
These ladies are too cool for words. They've got an awesome sound and a great look. I've never heard of them before but they are really talented. 🙏❤️🕊️
I really impressed, not they're just playing 'The Electric Prunes', but actually know who, they are 😲!! I used to listen, to my Mom's Electric Prunes cassette, back in the early '70's!!!
Cool. I still have the original album, along with Strawberry Alarm Clock, Blue Cheer, et al. Great to see these covers of classics from my youth. Thank you for this.
Great job, ladies.....and if I close my eyes, I think I'm hearing the Ventures!!! That's a big compliment by the way..... And I LOVE those "Go Go Boots" too.....talk about nostalgia!!
Ok, that took two seconds, even less. That took the first note... These girls are freaking GREAT!! Gorgeous look, then great tone, great SOUND... That is dreamy looking, dreamy sounding sh*t. New favorite band. Off I got to check out all their stuff.
The Electric Prunes were from my neighborhood, Santa Clara, CA. It’s was known as the “Prune Capitol of the World. By the time I arrived in 1963 the orchards were were going down like dominoes under the spreading carpet of pastel stucco and cedar shake roofs. The 4-BR we bought unfinished two blocks from Emil R. Buchser High School (It will NEVER be Santa Clara High!) in 1963 for $24,500 was priced at $1.4 Million last time I checked. California went from being the place to go, to the place people can’t get out of fast enough.
My dad bought new hone on Prune Tree Lane in Cupertino in 1961 and left in 1969. Great place to grow up in the cherry and apricot orchards and rec center in summer on trampolines and excursions to sf games and yosemite etc. didnt realize how great it was riding mini bike on streets and being in house when street lights wrnt on. New house cost under $20k and affordable while mom sttayed home and raised 6 kids. 3 blocks from what would become Apple. Caught the best decade. Couldnt afford it today even if wanted to live there again.
Fantastic, I love this instrumental. You girls are fabulous, me and my band have been doing this song since it was first released in the 60's and I have never heard a better instrumental version of it than this one. FANTASTIC job on it .I have both the 45 and the album, the originals of and you couldn't have played it any better than The Electric Prunes.
Now that's how you rock that tune, ladies, I'm lovin' it! Great retro look and feel, love your Jaguar, Strat, and Danelectro axes, and the vintage drum kit setup! Regards, The '62 Mathew St. 1-Man-Band ( Total Retro Rock)

This is actually a great song (I can remember it as a kid). The writers said they wanted it to be a Rock track, similar to The Rolling Stones (You can hear Paint It Black to some degree in the Verse), also, the drum fill is a lot like "Satisfaction." I love this rendition!
Nice cover of this song! Your sound is great, paying homage to 60’s classic surfer music. When I first heard this song, I was in grade school. I thought the singer was singing, “I had too much to drink last night” 😆
