It seems so simple and obvious to do what you do, yet you are the only one I’ve found doing it. You are just a real person with your videos, well done.
Thanks Tyler!
Agreed!
you are brainwashed.. the dude is literally paid to recommend products. Id bet a milly that he doesnt use half the stuff he promotes
All of these products seem really neat. One of the best holiday gift guides I've seen this season.
Thanks!
Agreed! One of the rare gift guides where all the products were both interesting AND ones I’d never heard of!
@@snazzy Seriously tysm. I bought all but 2 of these. Extremely useful guide
I totally second this.
Agreed!
Can’t believe I’m commenting on a Tech Gift Guide video but dang. I was genuinely intrigued by some of these and hadn’t already been served a million ads for them- something that not a single gift buying guide video has ever even attempted it seems. They seem straight from your heart and super personally curated and it shows. A+ Video. You get a bit of my internet-gold (attention & engagement). ❤️
That SSD sounds so incredibly useful. I lose my bootable usbs all the time. I never knew such a thing existed. An actually useful gift guide video, amazing
I have the predecessor, the IODD 2531 - it's super useful and a real timesaver.
Not just because you don't have to waste time on creating bootable USBs, but also because you get SSD performance, which helps cut down on installation and boot times.
Try Ventoy first. It should do the job 99% of the time. But if you need an external SSD anyway, then the IODD is great. It has a bit better compatibility than Ventoy.
Wow a useful, fun video with gadgets of which I have actually not heard. I know it sounds simple, but many a tech channel has failed with these videos. Of course, we expect nothing less than absolute success from this particular channel.
Thanks, Christopher!
Agreed!
I know, right? I have never heard of a plier, an external SSD, a robot vacuum, a power bank, a travel fridge or handheld emulator. I also live under a rock.
ik, they've all got neat features you don't usually see
Seeing Quinn being sponsored by a robot vacuum makes me so happy knowing how much he loves them!
They’re literally so fun.
Finally a tech list that has a bunch of things I can see myself using. The screw removal pliers solve real life issues I encounter, and aren’t some silly multi tool that typifies these lists. And I want that cooler!
The BEST holiday gift guide I have seen to date. Thank you for valuing our time and money in a world full of sponsorships and paid content! (I wouldn't mind if you made another gift guide in the future)
Agreed! Exactly my thoughts 👍
Man I wish this had popped up sooner. Late gifts are better than none. That SSD drive is just what I've always wanted. As a small IT consulting shop we all carry multiple thumb drives with various OS restore images. This should greatly simplify things.
That travel router is so cool - been looking out for something like that
I have this exact same router and I use in my office room, it’s awesome and I love it. The front light can be annoying but can be disabled via SSH commands
That company makes a bunch of great travel routers, not just that model. Heck, I've got one that's like 5 or 6 years old and it's still going strong. Not the most powerful router by today's standards but it was $25 when I bought it new and it's still getting firmware updates (including new features). Picked up a newer one recently so that old one is just a spare now, but I'm just impressed with how much life it's had for the price and it's not showing signs of impending death. Oh, and the new one is amazing too.
This was so much better than expected! Gift guides are usually garbage, but this had a lot of really useful and interesting stuff.
it's really just overpriced garbage. nobody actually uses any of this
Ventoy is very cool and a tool I always wished way back when I started my IT career - not that I’m that old but it’d save me time and storage to build my 36+ CD carrying case with multiple stuff (I still have that case AND discs 😮)
That mini router: 👌🏼 - At some point, I’ll get one (my budget for this year is done)
And when will you review that Linux laptop?
Just discovered ventoy a few weeks back and am using it for various install ISOs, proxmox, tinycore, etc. I have an older GL iNet 750M which I bought just before covid so I haven't had a chance to use it yet 😥
Wow really really great video! Loved that they weren’t the usual tech that everyone throws in their holiday gift guides
This is a very good list, much more interesting things than most gift guides.
I’ve just stumbled across this channel. Man, it’s like he’s the Doug DeMuro of the tech gadget world. The passion, the explanations, depth of knowledge, and the real world testing. Fantastic. I have to agree with the 12V fridges. I got my first one 6 years ago, a 40L. Since then the market for smaller sizes has opened up, so I also have a 9L (holds 11 cans) and 18L (holds 23 cans). I love them, and take at least one just about anywhere - bbqs, Christmas lunch etc. if there’s power, I plug it in, but if not, they happily run off a power tool battery (with an adapter), putting all the tool batteries to good use when I’m not at home DIY’ing. You’re preaching to the choir with the icicles in the cans. Perfect temperature 😊
I was surprised and wowed at every product, awesome video! Much different than the usual TECH GIFTS UNDER $20 videos
Agreed! Please more Snazzy product introduction videos in the near future.
This is the best gift guide! The best variety of gifts for everyone on our gift lists plus, yes, lots of things I never heard about!
Just as an alternate suggestion to the battery bank, the Anker 737 is a little better value proposition. It only has 2 USB-C ports and one USB-A port, and is 2000mAh less, but its also $150 at full price, and has been on sale for $100 during the holidays. I have loved mine, so I just wanted to throw that out there.
Anker has been in hot water about Eufy's grossly negligent privacy violations lately, might not be a good idea to recommend them.
@@imitt12 I get what you’re saying about seeming to endorse a brand, but I do think there is a difference between a battery bank and a very budget IOT device. And he can add a 10 second blurb about not recommending connected Eufy devices due to their recent issues. It’s not like he would be recommending a Yeezy battery bank.
@@PatrickTheGreat Continuing to support one branch of a company after another has had flagrant disregard for user privacy is continuing to endorse their disrespect. All Anker devices and subsidiaries should be blacklisted, just like all Nestle products should be blacklisted.
I love how you're always upbeat when making your videos, it makes content so much better. Also, shoutout to all the filming and editing crew who work behind the scenes.
The gift ideas are really good, especially as your reviewing new tech 👍
These might just be some of the best tech gifts I’ve found in a video, ever.
This is one of the best gift guides I’ve seen (tech or otherwise)! Lots of great ideas that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Thanks to this video, FINALLY found a few gifts for my hard to buy for, tech loving, Dad and brothers, who seem to have it all! Thank you!
Agreed! Very helpful video.
I think this is the best gift guide i have seen this season. Hands down.
Great variety, too! you’re right I haven’t heard of most of these, and even has stuff I can get for my less tech-savvy family
I guess the vacuum chamber not only removes the oxygen but also nitrogen, carbon dioxide, argon and all the other components in the air
Wow, finally a video with truly unique gadgets that I had (mostly) never heard of!
Just a quick note, you could also do pretty much all the functions of that GL.iNet travel router with a Raspberry Pi running RaspAP (routing, OVPN, Wireshark, adblock etc). It only has one LAN port though unless you get a CM4 board so that might be a deal breaker.
USB3 adapters for Ethernet usually pack enough bits (especially if you arent using the other usb ports) to handle gigabit, and might do well for any router needs. Just a thought
Now that’s a list! A genuinely helpful variety of suggested gifts 👏🏻
We've had a Roborock S7 since it came out and it's totally amazing. We really love it and the good cleaning job it does.
Easily the best gift tech finds vid I’ve seen. And I go down these rabbit holes frequently.
This is the first truly awesome tech I've ever seen on YT, hands down. Wow no idea some of these stuff existed. Subbed!
Finally a gadget show that doesn't feel like an ad
that omnifixo looks amazing, and they've got a blog post that links to a lil 3d-printable case so you can keep your soldering iron with it.
NO WAY! Thanks for telling me! Gonna print :)
An actually good gift idea video! Thanks Snazzy Labs
Nice to see glinet get some exposure here! I’ve had a 750ext Slate for 5 or so years and it’s doing a great job even today! I do plan to upgrade to their newer AX model whenever I can.
Holy crap - actually cool things on a list like this.
This is one of the most fun guides I have watched. I can't buy any of it but its neat!
Dude, what a good video! I haven't seen a tech product video this good in a long time. Seriously I want everything you presented lol
Thanks, Michael!!
Good stuff. You're def not a shill, like all these other UA-cam tech "influencers". You're a genuine tech geek, and I respect that.
You can also use a vacuum sealing machine to lay up composites like fiberglass or carbon fiber. Put the thing you want to cover, or mold into the bag, cover it carefully with the fabric and resin, and then vacuum all the bubbles out/apply pressure.
Actually very impressed by this. Only one of these products I heard of (and own) is the Twelve South AirFly (Pro). Just gave me some new ideas of stuff to ask for someday…
Excellent video... Loved all the products and the delivery 👍🏾
much better than most youtuber gift/gadget guides
Was looking for something like the AirFly in 2019 and ended up with the Anker Soundsync. Basically the same, but a lot cheaper 😉
I’ve never felt more targeted, in a good way, by any other list video on UA-cam. These recommendations are incredible and I trust your faith in them. Thanks so much for the amazing content, already picked up a few things on the list. 🤯👏🏻
These are some pretty cool products. I liked the SSD, Travel Router, Airfly and Cooler.
This is probably the best gift guid of actual cool crap
Not gonna lie, several of these are absolutely amazing (the SSD with the screen and the magnetic helping hands especially). Thanks man. This was genuinely useful and appreciated.
Really well put together and very unique and useful items Quinn! Well done honestly.
Honestly shocked by the quality equipment shown in this video. Best video of its kind I have seen all year. No doubt I will be buying a couple items. I also have owned that Iceco fridge for 2 years now and it is awesome.
Nice. One of the best gift guides I’ve watched! Thanks!
Usually I never comment on any videos, but props to you, this was a great gift idea guide, keep it up!
Extremely practical product. That Bluetooth dongle is superb.
I’ve got a similar travel router from ravpower that’s got a built in battery, but less powerful firmware, they’re handy!
Cool!
I have the AirFly Pro, it's a great gadget even if you don't travel a lot. I've mainly used it in Rx mode to give my old desktop speakers Bluetooth, but I've also used it to transmit to my AirPods from my TV as well as my electric keyboard. Granted, it was given to me for free by my work, but I'd still say worth the price if your use case fits it
Thanks, Quinn, for showing us this cool bunch of gadgets. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
I have the router and the fridge already. Both great products! I want to check out the helping hands. Thanks for the video
The Engineer pliers have saved me so many times. Owned them for years and they're a MUST HAVE.
the mini router might just legit be useful even if not travelling for the repeater function. some rooms in my house have horrible wi-fi reception
That router looks neat. I use AirPort Express when traveling, always have - but when support eventually vanishes I know there is a good replacement now, except no AirPlay2 support.
i'd love to see more of these type of videos
Need a Snazzy console emulation and the iodd video tutorial. They look nifty!
Ive been using travel router for years fo a portable wireless bridge/NAS, might be time for an update
This is a really good set of tech!
Pretty good guide! One other gift that's pretty interesting is the Moondrop Quarks DSP.
This is finally a list I would actually buy
thanks for taking your time to make this awesome video
Will the screw stripping pliers work on a laptop. What about a flat screw in a DVD cage from some dells
Fantastic video!
Interesting without being overwhelming, an art that many others... most others, unfortunately do not understand. More is not always better.
This was actually the first video of a similar format that had me hooked all the way through. Cool yet useful stuff at reasonable prices, and just like you said in the intro, no overabundance of "sponsored products" that no one is really interested in or can even afford to buy.
The fact that I even take the time to write a comment like this, a review in a sense, is very rare, but I felt the need in this case to give you credit where credit is due.
Please excuse me for any grammatical mistakes in the text. English is not my first language, so I have relied on Google Translate.
You've earned a new subscriber, and I've even clicked the bell to turn on notifications. You are one of only five other UA-cam content creators that I have actually turned on notifications for.
I look forward to what you have planned for 2023, with all the new and exciting things that will come with it.
Merry Christmas
Oscar (23yo), from Northern Sweden
Excellent list of ideas! Keep up the great work!!
A well delivered video indeed, recommendations for USB4 Type-C Pendrives/Flashdrives/Thumbdrives for TailOS?
Great suggestions, awesome energy! Happy new year man
This was useful, thanks Quinn! 👍🏽
This video is a great example of why Snazzy Labs is the best reviewer in the game!
Wow, these are really great items, all of them.
Yup, totally getting that travel router for myself.
It’s so good.
Finally, I am trying to find something to ask for Christmas this year and all the other videos show gifts that I already have or junk that I don’t want. Thank you, this video was very helpful.
If that’s the Beryl travel router, it is amazing. I’ve used it to set up a wireguard VPN with a custom IP address located in my US zip code and then used it to provide a VPN tunnel that allowed me to connect my work laptop to corporate systems while out of the country. It worked flawlessly, and also simplified internet access for me and my wife when we were at hotels.
Amazing video… Fabulous information! Best I’ve seen in a really long time. Thank you.
Very good video!! Hope you make it a series👍
Those are actually some cool gift ideas.
Have a great Christmas! I've enjoyed watching how your channel has evolved over the years.
You brief history of why we don't use Robertson head screws in the US was so perfect and funny
Thanks!
Hey, I would reccomend checking out PCBYTE if you every do any circuit testing. Its similar to the upgraded third hand you listed but has really nice flexible arms for holding multimeter and oscilloscope probes for placing on small smd pins. They sell active probe heads up to 500mhz iirc for high frequency testing.
PCBite*
@@killomaster right my bad, embedded software dev has ruined me.
Finally new and good items to buy, thanks SnazzyLabs
That’s cooler seems so amazing, but I really want to know the temperature you’ve set it to to get the slushy consistency.
And why isn’t the Right side cooling below ~55f after the initial 15min. Cool down? Set @1f. at right side.
I had the idea of the wireless aux cable 10 years ago and a sound engineer assured me it was impossible.
Crazy to see how technology changes fast.
I love that little router I have it for a P2P VPN connection for remote cameras out in cabins in the woods. They fit very well in a weather proof boxes and have sat outside for going on years with no hiccups!
This is really cool. I would love to see more videos like this.
Loved the Philips screw history lesson 😂
Definitely picking one up the first small repeater, I would love to thinker with it.
One of your best videos hands down, can't believe I never heard a majority of thoses.
I’ve been wanting that roborock vacuum but just nervous to drop that amount of $$!
I need the AirFly, it's something I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Welcome!
I thought you were going to recommend a JIS screwdriver, but that set of pliers could very well be even better. Nice list!
Thanks!
great video mate. Not gonna get any of these, but as a geek I really enjoyed learning about these gadgets! Happy holiday
This is incredibly useful. Wow i am super intrigued by the router.
The best holiday guide I’ve seen in a while.
Just use Vice grips to remove screws. Everyone has a pair and you don’t need to apply pressure after the initial clamping.
Now that was a Snazzy video.. Great work! Really cool stuff here
Hi
I just stumbled across your channel! I love it
Can I use the router to jump my cell phone internet connection?
Please help
