I managed to install Black Ops 6 on my Xbox One X but unlike the Series X I couldn't immediately pick and choose what game I wanted to install, so when I started the download it was over 200GB in size, which sucks because I don't even have MW2 (2022) but because I couldn't choose to not install it at first I was actively wasting time and space downloading something for no apparent reason. As for how it runs, it's actually decent from what I've played, the load times when starting a match is definitely longer than on Series X but aside from that it's acceptable enough, especially compared to BO3 on Xbox 360 & PS3.
@@GenerationZ313 Oh yeah, its not perfect on the one x by any means. My brother has it on his series s and I can already see some improvements between the two versions. Persona 5 actually released in 2017 in the west on PS3! Another thing worth noting is that the final Wii U game actually released in February 2023. Much like the 3DS, the guy who made Silver Falls released Silver Falls White Inside Its Umbra on Wii U in 2023.

@danielmcdonald9177 Yeah, he took on the task of making 7 games in the year up to the eShop closure. White Inside Its Umbra is especially cool because it uses features that are only available on Wii U. You use a Wiimote as a flashlight in the game, the GamePad held sideways is a phone with many apps on it, and you stand on the Wii Balance Board to walk. Other than Wii Fit U, it's the only Wii U game to use the balance board lol. I love it.
Honestly, the last gen is going to outlive the current gen at this rate. The PS5 is still sitting at 55 million units, and the Xbox Series X/S at around 20-25 million. Considering the PS4 sold 120 million, and the Xbox One 55 million, and the PS4 is still actively manufactured and selling today, the PS5 will never catch up to the PS4 and the Xbox Series X/S is already on deaths door by now, so it catching up to the already low Xbox One sales isn't probably going to happen. In my eyes, this is still a mixture of the first two years PS5s and Xbox Series being scarce, the expensive price points of both systems compared to the discounted value of the PS4 and Xbox One, the lack of new original games for the PS5 and Xbox Series, and other issues I'm not thinking of.
Dreamcast gets even cooler games than you mentioned still, some of the best we’ve gotten are Pier Solar HD in 2014 by Watermelon, Intrepid Izzy and Xenocider in 2021, a rocket league clone called Driving Strikers with online support and crossplay with steam, 2 different Minecraft ports 1 with online support with dial up are actively being developed right now and an active GTA3 port
Aside from the minecraft clone Crafti that released for the Dreamcast in 2017, there is currently a developer going by the name of Meese working on a more faithful port of Minecraft for the Dreamcast, alongside the Gamecube and Wii. The Dreamcast version recently got sound working.

Been waiting for a video like this. I was telling a friend the other day about how THPS3 was one of the last (might be THE last) games on the N64. I think I was looking at a list of last releases on Wikipedia awhile back and was shocked to see PS2 had games releasing up until early-mid 2010s 😂
Then they have to manufacture Game Boy cartridges in 2024. Now it isn't impossible to see McDonalds do that, all they have to do is find one of those Indie companies that makes unlicensed Game Boy games and pay them to produce Grimace games, but then you have to deal with Nintendo and if their okay with McDonalds not only paying a third party to make fake Game Boy games, but bundling these fake games with their popular retail products. Regular indie studios, Nintendo doesn't care, but a big brand like McDonalds and you have licensing issues bound to happen.
Toy Story released for the Genesis well after the Saturn and PS1 came out. Tons of AAA developers were making games for the Sega Genesis well into 2001. The indie game market still supports the Sega Genesis that console is like almost 40 years old and games are still made for it by so many indie devs.

Sadly though, I can’t reinstall the episodes on it even before the marketplace shut down cause Telltale went bankrupt.

There is a GBA game that just released this year called "Goodboy Galaxy." It was a kickstarter supported game that had a physical release for the console with an enhanced version for Steam and Switch.
Earlier this year the band Static Dress released a Game Boy game. This game got a limited physical run. This may actually be the last physical game boy game to release
I actually got a copy of Just Dance 2020 on Wii recently at a thrift store. There were only a few songs I actually liked in this version and one I did like was in a previous game in the series. It's still neat to own I suppose especially since you're basically getting a phyiscal soundtrack which aren't that prominent anymore. In fact Just Dance physical copies don't even include the game disc anymore, it's just a code in the box.
Little thing to mention: The original DS kicked the bucket in 2014, yes, HOWEVER, the DSi (more specifically the DSi Shop) would actually have it's last entry in mid-2016! Now, it's nothing notable to write home, IIRC it was some Christmas minigame collection and it wasn't good at all, but I find it unique that it came out a full 2 years after the physical DS games were completed axed.
Another example of a game releasing extremely late into a consoles life after its successor was in the market is Pinobee. It started off as a launch title for the GBA developed by Artoon (made of former Sonic Team and SEGA employees, including Naoto Ohshima) and published by Hudson Soft in 2001. Some time after its released, Hudson suggested to Artoon that the game could be fun to play on the PS1, so the two developed and published (the latter and the former respectively) a port of the game for the console and released it in 2002 in Japan and 2003 everywhere else, up to three years after the PS2 was already out in the market (even if every PS2 can run PS1 games).

At least the GBA is now getting that Shantae game that it was suppose to get coming 2025. Also Xeno Crisis just recently got released for the Super NES and GBA too both physically and digitally (if you just want it on EverDrive). Both the NES and Sega Genesis got all kinds of new games every year, some hits some misses. A new Golden Axe was released for the Sega 32X and someone actually did manage to port a version of Doom for 32X that was suppose to be like the PC version. Super NES just got three new games the last few years, one of them is a terrible fighting game but the other two were fantastic fan made project one being a remake of a Game Boy game. Also Virtual Boy got a Street Fighter game in 2013, it's a re-imagine fan made port of Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting and someone is now porting Mortal Kombat to the Atari Jaguar and Mortal Kombat II to the 3DO.
19:20 Those aren't repackaged GC games technically. While yes, those games were all originally on the GameCube, those particular releases were all ports of GC games to the Wii with added motion controls on a Wii disc, and thus couldn't be played on a GameCube. It was called the "New Play Control" line.
I remember my friend telling me Brazil loved getting PS2s from America because import tariffs were so high. So a new PS2 for them would cost more than a new PS3 would for me (this was back in 2007, when the PS3 was $600). So consoles were a massive investment, even moreso than for us. Kind of why someone had the idea for that Zeebo console. Essentially something that could be made cheap and locally to bypass those tariffs then just download games (usually mobile ports). It wasnt always like that. The Sega Master System was popular. Distributed by TecToy, a local company so they had a distribution network already set up, so Sega partnering with them was a good move. This was back during the days when a lot of consoles were essentially PC parts. Same for Arcades. So Zilog80 and Motorola68000 were plentiful.
i think you mentioned it but the late dream cast games are because the saga Naomi boards where used up till like 2008 for arcade games there just ports.
Oh shit, it got delayed? I figured that was coming considering it's almost the end of the year and we still hadn't heard anything about a release date yet other than "2024".
I'm surprised the Yo-Kai Watch games weren't on this list the first three games were all released on 3DS with the third game not being released in North America until *2019* (originally released 2016 in Japan then everywhere else besides America in 2018)
I like how one company said Hey le't make sure our game is the last offficial game released in as many consoles as possible! I guess this is one way to stand out!
PS4 BO6 has graphical quirks but everything is all there content wise & it loads very fast for a PS4 game, I don't think its even comparable to the mess that was BO3 on the PS3
Yeah, I remember I saw last year a video going over upcoming games for the Mega Drive, one of which would have been released THIS MONTH, if memory serves! And you say about games being released on everything, I still say it'd be easier to name the platforms that Tomb Raider was NOT released on, especially Legend, that is on everything - PS2, Xbox, GameCube, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, DS, PSP! I'll have to try the Xbox version, but I know you can get the Xbox 360 version and its DLC digitally on Xbox One!
Well if Entrain Odyssey got a PC re-release then I can see The Persona Q games being re-released since both games run on the same engine. The story with the OG Persona 5 was that there were several delays with that game and one of the reasons behind the delays is that Atlus was on the verge of bankruptcy and Sega ended up bailing them out by purchasing them. They promised that it would release on PS3 and they didn't want to break that promise.
Based on how the Etrian Odyssey games came out on the Switch I would rather the PQ games stick to a 2 screen system. The Dual Screen Layout of the DS and 3DS is the only way it could feel natural for me.
Pretty sure Persona 5 was on PS3 because thats what it was originally announced for but got a lot of delays and given that Persona 3 and 4 were on PS2 they didn't wanna risk upsetting people that already got a PS3 to play it. Basically what happened with Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess
I think some of these are a type of cash in. Like with persona for example, that community are also the type to collect the games. If you own all the other games and hear it's also coming out in the 3Ds you'll buy that one too. I'm sure there are thousands of blank carriages sat around somewhere for Devs to use and cost next to nothing. And potting the game to the 3Ds likely isn't a huge struggle.
Destiny was popular on stadia because trials of Osiris was still extremely popular and even if you were just an average player on console or pc, you could hop on stadia trials and destroy like you’re in a cod lobby against 8 year olds. Easiest trials ever got, and with cross save, yeah a lot of players hopped on stadia just to run trials and get some easy exclusive loot. The stadia forums had many posts of new destiny players first playing on stadia begging for cross save to be turned off to save stadia trials/pvp because new players just couldn’t play when matched with people who had 8 years experience
Summon Night 5 and Trails in the Sky are interesting cases Both games released years on the PSP for Japan (Trails in the Sky being a pretty early PSP release by Falcom as well, 2006 or 2007) meanwhile Summon Night 5, even though it got an american release, it was full of terrible bugs and decisions by Gaijin Games, taking out the Voice Acting Completely and introducing a bug that softlocks the game Summon Night 5 didn't deserve to get that treatment, and the JP relesee is still the better version, so I am surprised nobody has modded the English Translation back to the JP release or the VA to the American one at some point
Is it?? I mean soccer is the most popular sport in the world and the PS2 is the best selling console ever....seems like a no brainer when 2nd and 3rd world countries aren't gonna have the new stuff for a while
This was a hard gen to convince people to upgrade into. A lot of people didn't have HD TVs yet, which made PS3 a lower value proposition, and in some cases games were literally unplayable on SD TVs. On top of that, it was insanely expensive at launch and the start of the modern homogenized AAA landscape made the software line-up less appealing even if you could play it. Not surprising that there was a big drop-off in install base compared to PS2.
Black Ops 3 was the first future one, right? That's what killed it for me. I wanna play through history, not someone's daydream. Lots of people like that, it just isn't for me.
Fun fact just dance on the wii are put in mental health places so its a big reason why just dance was still on the wii for awhile.
Awful for my mental health but awesome that they did that for that reason.

Fans still port the modern Just Dance games to Wii as mods too! I've played Just Dance 2024 on Wii.
Guantanamo Bay alone accounted for 5K sales.

Fun fact: the LAST PS2 game was PES 2014 (Pro Evolution Soccer 2014) it came out on November 8, 2013, 7 Days before PS4 launch
19:20 Those aren't repackaged GC games technically. While yes, those games were all originally on the GameCube, those particular releases were all ports of GC games to the Wii with added motion controls on a Wii disc, and thus couldn't be played on a GameCube. It was called the "New Play Control" line.
Black Ops 6 on Xbone? That's cute. Try Street fighter 2 on C64 and zx81!
The minecraft and gta 3 dreamcast port projects are a worthy topic for a video on unlicensed ports.
I get so excited when yall post long niche games facts, love to have my burgers and fries as i watch. Please don't stop posting luv you guys
Shantae will get a GBA game in 2025!❤
Oh shit, it got delayed? I figured that was coming considering it's almost the end of the year and we still hadn't heard anything about a release date yet other than "2024".
@Bubbabyte99 it was supposed to come out in October, but it gets delayed to early 2025
love how this is a video about late releases on old consoles, and yet the only gameboy game is grimmace's birthday like what?? lmao
I think you guys should do a video on Gamemill games, and see what you can find.
Love the video, but your audio desperately needs some adjusting. Need to adjust the EQ for your mic
I didn’t know they still made games for those consoles. The Wii one was wild
I'm surprised the Yo-Kai Watch games weren't on this list the first three games were all released on 3DS with the third game not being released in North America until *2019* (originally released 2016 in Japan then everywhere else besides America in 2018)
24:57 That's not Super Noah's Ark 3D, that's Noah's Ark from Konami. Those games are completely unrelated other than their subject matter.
Bomba patch for PS2. If you know, you know
Wiiu is backwards compatible, anyone buying it on the Wii is going to just play it exactly the same. Makes total sense tbh
Plus BO6 has crossplay among different generations, old gen consoles vs current gen consoles and PC.
17:45 I still have the HTC Vive man. 😔 Can't afford to upgrade, and I only play VR twice per year on average anyway.
Good video but I think you need a better pop filter on your mic, DeEsser and Limiter
Wow, even some consoles that were discontinued got more games than the ps5.
Ubisoft decided to put their dance game on Wii in 2020 🎵 One. More. Time. 🎶
Nba2K still dropped on xbox 360 in 2018 and they’re still dropping for Xbox One and PS4 every year 💀
yeah because it's the same game over and over again they don't have to change shit so it can run on the older consoles just fine lol
Postal just got an official release on the Dreamcast a couple years back
Nevermind, just got to that part of the video lol
My favorite game like this was FIFA 2005 for PSONE, I heard that and was like ....sorry you said two thousand FIVE??
@32:28 - "lin-uhx" gave me the ick
Compare this to Modern Situation when GTA 6 not Coming for PS4/XBOX ONE
Cool video. Now I'll go play Shakedown Hawaii on my Vita.
11:36 and the award for the weirdest game of all time goes to
I’m playing BO6 on an OG PS4 and the game looks good enough and runs fine, but I’m surprised they’re still supporting it outside of Warzone 😂
hell you mean 'remember that' about the HTC vive lol? the vive is great
Summon Night 5 and Trails in the Sky are interesting cases
Both games released years on the PSP for Japan (Trails in the Sky being a pretty early PSP release by Falcom as well, 2006 or 2007) meanwhile Summon Night 5, even though it got an american release, it was full of terrible bugs and decisions by Gaijin Games, taking out the Voice Acting Completely and introducing a bug that softlocks the game
Summon Night 5 didn't deserve to get that treatment, and the JP relesee is still the better version, so I am surprised nobody has modded the English Translation back to the JP release or the VA to the American one at some point
PS2 had lots of games release after its life! Im guessing cuz alot of people had PS2's. PS3 was hard to code for and didnt sell well until later
I still have a WiiU with pad and accessories. Is the 32GB black model.
Bullet hell games: A nickle a dozen apparently
Just dance 2020 ima go in my basement and get my Wii out
Three minutes ago is orgasmic I love y’all’s channel keep up the good worl
Persona Q2 was fantastic, So were the other Etrian Odyssey games,
lots of the dreamcast games look da same innit
FIFA 14 still releasing on the PS2 sounds crazy
Just dance 2020 was made on my birthday…
@3:00 i hate everything about this b roll
Not even b rol lol go watch the guys channel he used for the footage you would hate it more lol
Black Ops 3 was the first future one, right? That's what killed it for me. I wanna play through history, not someone's daydream. Lots of people like that, it just isn't for me.
BO2 was the first future game I think. Set in 2025. I didn't vibe with the aesthetic either. Gameplay was top tier tho!
Why are all of the last dreamcast games bullet hells
Omg I loved 40 winks! Never met anyone else that even knew it existed!
Talk about the lion king oops now that you got me interested 😅
What game is this at 1:16 with the two people near the fountain?

I’m a rocket sloth.
