- WHAT IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GET FROM SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT TO DOWNTOWN BANGKOK?
We often get the question of: What is the cheapest way to get from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to downtown Bangkok?
Well this video shows the exact steps to take to get from the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square (center of Bangkok).
The cheapest way hands down is by using the Airport Rail link. You can take it directly from the airport to the Phaya Thai station
Duration: 30 minutes
Cost: 45 baht / ~1.40 USD per person
At Phaya Thai station, you can connect to the BTS Sky train (an elevated rapid public transport system, the most convenient in the city). On the BTS you can get to most places in the downtown Bangkok.
To get to Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square, you simply take the train 2 stops to the Siam station.
Duration: 4 minutes
Cost: 16 baht / ~0.50 USD per person
Take Exit number 5 and you’ll have reached the hotel!
Total trip (Suvarnabhumi Airport to Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square)
Duration: 40 minutes
Cost: 61 baht / ~1.90 USD per person
Other transportation methods:
Taxi: ~300/400 baht (~10-12 USD), seats 4 people. Make sure the taxi driver turns on the meter (starts at 35 baht) and you will have to pay the toll on the highway. Price is also dependent on the traffic. Duration: 30 mins - 2 hours
Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square Limo Service:
Camry Toyota (3 pax)-1600 baht
BMW (3 pax)-2100 baht
Van (8 pax)-2300 baht

Hi nice video, any recent ones for 2022 please
Are there normal stairs to get down to Airport Rail Link on Level B?
Thank you very much, doing the exact same trip with my family in June. We have a 12 hour layover between our international flight and the flight to Koh Samui. I thought we would go to MBK and Siam Square and do a few hours of shopping instead of just sitting at the airport :)
The corona virus will be at the airport waiting for you and your family! Avoid Thailand this year my sweet candy.....
@@chrishayes312 Stop the hysteria already. only 2,5% lethality, a common flue kills more people. But thank you very much for your concern :)
Is November a good month to go in is it hot
Bus is even more cheap, and seams more easy for me, just outside bangkok airport..
What is the best place to stay in bangkok that you can easily go for a shopping, night market.
I LIKE YOU!!!!
Looking at Google maps. It says take bus to bangkok Silom. Where do I find the bus, how much, what color is it. It says it takes about 45 minutes.
Hi! When you bought your ticket from the machine, it wasn't that clear. What was that number 3 you clicked means?
That is for the number of tickets. 3 Passengers.
What if you want to go to asoke? Do you have to transfer twice or can you go straight there after the first transfer? Also can't you take the subway as well? Wouldn't that be faster?
Take the Rail link to Makkasan and then take the metro line to Asok. (Sukhumvit station)
this is not the cheapest way there are buses from transport center which on cost 35b
What if you have luggage? i usually bring hella shit with me some stuff for my gf so prob a taxi right. it’ll probably be a hassle trying to bring two suitcases in the train and what not! Lolz
I think I’m good with the 9$ private taxi ride
Not that only - people are so enthusiastic about Bangkok's mass public transport - which is indeed great once You check in at Your hotel - but they forget about the main issue here - international travellers usually bring a lot of luggage - and this skytrain and metro system don't even allow big suitcases and similar - hand luggage only! And One doesn't have to ask around where the the Hotel is located when using a taxi - especially after a long flight - tired and jet lagged
@@andrejcerjak1790 yup why not spend the extra to get to your hotel easily, once you get there everything else is so cheap!
hi.. i like to ask the counter taxi fare from SUVARNABHUMI airport to pratunam area.
how much it cost? im compar price using counter taxi or grab. thanks for your answer
Hi Setiadi, the taxi fare from Suvarnabhumi airport to pratunam area will cost around 350 - 500 baht. A counter taxi at the airport will have an additional charge of 50 baht and you might need to pay extra if you're going to take express way. For grab, the cost should be around the same price as normal taxi and they normally have a booking fee of 20 baht. However, we do not sure if you can get grab at the airport as they prefer customers to use counter taxi, if you're willing to use grab you might need to walk from the airport a bit further then get grab. We hope this helpful.
Best,
