OMG thank you for posting this, My wife and I are going to Thailand and we're looking for a way to get to Pattaya from Bangkok. This helps so much. I looking at most of your videos for help
Great info. I will be back in Thailand this year. Travel by train is my preferred method. I like the slow pace !! Also many chances to view the countryside as you travel.
This was possibly one of the most useful Thailand videos I've seen so far. Thank you! I'll be landing in Bangkok in January and was planning to take the bus to Pattaya, and I think I've made the right choice.
Thanks so much for this video. I'm visiting thailand in the new year and i think i have gone through almost all of your videos. They are so informative and through. I'm highly impressed and thankful for your efforts.
Thanks for this guide. New subscriber here. We'll be going in Bangkok this coming Dec 6 to 13, 2023. I think the bus is more faster since e need to go back in Bangkom just for a day tour.
When l am in Thailand and go from Bangkok to Pattaya or return, l only book a private car with driver. When you have large luggage the advantage is that the driver pick-up you at your hotel and drop-off at your destination hotel. For one or two passengers to book a sedan car with driver it cost me only 1,200 bath for one way drive, all included. It's the most confortable even it's more expensive.
The first time we traveled to Pattaya was by private mini taxi.. Took under 2hours and was very comfortable. The 2nd time was by train, also comfortable, but double the time... I prefer train rides in Thailand!... Thanks for the video.
Thanks Chon but your informative vdo, I’ll be going to Bangkok soon n was thinking of going to Pattaya.. the bus option fits my case as I got a suitcase with me
Yay! I'm going to Pattaya on Dec! Would like to get more local recommendations! I like your videos! Good to know places other than popular tourists spots, that's gold! **Already subscribed 😄

This is great information!! I was wondering how to get from Bangkok to Pattaya. Private hire car is the way to go. Sure it’s the most expensive but it’s the fastest and the least amount of time waiting around.
I was wondering how to get to pattaya from bangkok for the longest time! and ive been waiting for a video like this. I like the Hua lampong option because say it's your first time to thailand or pattaya you get to see the country side of thailand while your traveling there. Only downside is the 1 time per day departure. Should make it at least 3 times per day. The mini bus i would hate so much because your cramped in there for 3 hours with no leg room. No thanks. The airport bus option seems kinda faster then all of them except going by car. Even tho the regular bus route is 160 baht. Pay 20 more baht with bag which is about 3 baht more then the regular bus and you get there in 2 hours. Thankyou chon
Great video ! And Keep up the good work You mentioned you were staying in the area for a few days / more videos from the area You really to check out the food at Jomtien Night Markets…. There is one vendor that makes the best Thai style “salads”
Thanks for the info. You're very helpful. btw, do the van and bus do toilet stops? Also the ones going to Ayutthaya? I am assuming the train have toilets on board.

Hi Chon, it is a good INFO, but we had some problem (bus from Suwarnamubhi to Pattaya, we wanted to go to Terminal 21 at North Pattaya) for te second time. We askde if they stop there and got an answer - YES! I don't know why the bus don't stop properly at North Pattaya bus station (North Pattaya Bus Terminal สถานีขนส่งพัทยาเหนือ ), instead it stops for half minute at the side of the sukhumit road at the point of nowhere. NO taxis, no songtoi, NOTHING! We were looking for taxi with lagguage but is was dangerous and not easy to find one within 15-20 minutes. Finally a 30-40 years old dirty truck came from the nowhere and took as to the 2 km for 500 Bahts, it is in normal circumstances 50-80 Bahts with meter taxi. Maybe they were the friends of the bus driver and seemed a bit organised trick to stop at the middle of nowhere and not in a regular bus stop or station. Please do something to change this method in the future because it is not a good impression for european tourists to see this in the first hours arriving to Thailand. My friend from Germany (she is a doctor in a clinic) was very disappointed because of all this annoying procedure, during her first trip to Thailand.
I've been coming to Jomtien for 15 years. And it's the first time I have clean and precise infos about transportation. Strangely I see no recommendation for your taxi service. Is there one?
@@friendsfromthailandtravelguide i did, the one on sim cards, night markets, china town, public transport from airport to name a few of them. Did you make one on opening a bank account for foreigners with tourist visa? If not, would like to have your thoughts.
Thank you for sharing this video. Watching this video have determines me to take a taxi because I rather get there faster. 😊 Do you know if Grab cost the same as taxi?
I took a taxi on a Saturday on a long weekend with a public holiday. Not the smartest idea. The taxi was around 2000 Baht and it took 4 hours to get to Jomtien Beach.
Well done Great vid it will be my first time in Thailand i plan on staying in Bangkok 1 week the Pattaya 2 week i think private transfer who do you recomend
Thank you so much for sharing this helpful video. I’ve been to Bangkok a few times and I was very hesitated to go to Pataya by bus 🚌. Now I think I can figure out how to get there hopefully next time lol 😂.
What a great vlog I have been watching you for the last 3 days straight ... Very Informative. Thanks! Can you tell me whether there is direct bus from DMK to Jomtien Beach (fast one like the one you show from BKK). Since I'll have luggage, going to Ekkamai bus station is not possible.
Hi Chon, I have been watching all your videos and making my DIY itineraries based on your recommendations. You are great great help. However I wonder where will I get off the bus if my first destination in the morning is on Sanctuary of Truth before going to Koh Larn Island at noon. Thanks!
We did private SUV/Fortuner the other day for 1800 Baht, found it worked for us as I can't ride in the vans, get motion sickness easy. Also not a fan of the bus. Door to door service was nice. Taking same transportation back to Bangkok. Little pricey but that's OK for the better service
Thank you for the information that nobody else gives.

Sawadee khrup! I just came back from Pattaya and I drove on Route 7. It is indeed a smooth ride, and yes 105 THB toll (one-way) is totally worth it
Perfect information. As a regular visitor I have found a very reliable taxidriver from Pattaya who charge me only 1000 baht (+ 100 tip).

Can I hv the driver contact number
Contact no. Please???
