You forgot to mention the 50 baht extra you have to pay taking taxi at the airport. My advice is to take the Airport link train and then transfer to the MRT or BTS until you are nearer to your destination then get a taxi. Obviously this is a bit more difficult if you have lots of baggage!
Depending on your destination in Thailand. I'd advise you to go down to the lower level, get your money changed there at fairer rates and book a train ticket which is about 20% less costly than a taxi. Eg. Taxi to Pattaya about 1500TB, train to Pattaya about 135TB This is possibly including bus ticket to North Pattaya bus terminal. Can't quite recall? Also unless essential don't take a large heavy suitcase, as occasionally your case can go missing or carousels break down and you'll have a 2-3 hrs wait until its repaired. Take handluggage only and use the many inexpensive laundry businesses in Thailand. Enjoy a safe journey
manos3790 thank you for the ideas and advices but my travel will be smooth because my transportation will be fine . I have a local friend to pick me up in my arrival into bankok . Maybe I’ll go for the money changer you have said.
@@emmanuelleguminang3610 Don't cash up too much Thai baht at the airport, as there will be more favourable rates from the banks, ATM's and money changers in the cities, but not on the islands.
The most comprehensive video for 1st time visitors on how to use this huge airport terminal. Everything is very well organised but may be very crowded. If everything goes smoothly, you can expect to be out in about 30mn, or 75mn if a bit crowded...
Try the find someone travel in wheelchair before boarding the plane and ask them if you can help them. From arrival to taxi in less than 15mins. I always offer this to someone if they help me carry my luggage to the exit
You should mention that some taxi drivers try to go without a switched on meter. Or just after they start to your destination they try to offer you a "better" fixed price.
Well if you take the the taxi from the second floor yes they could. But if you take it from the public taxi level they can not since they are registered and they have to report the distance the address and how much they charged you so you can report any false act to the airport and that will cause a lot of problems to them.
@@LiveLoveThailandI know what you wrote. But this also happens from the public taxi level. Not only once, it happened to me I would say in 50% of my arrivals. What I did is to claim another number. Also you should be sure the taxi Driver is speaking only a little bit english. Otherwise he will circle around searching, because he dont understand any word (though they have the address of the hotel). I could tell some more stories of the taxi drivers at Bangkok International. All in all it is not that easy as you said, you should be always prepared für the scamming taxi Mafia.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us . Well after all you have to avoid the scans and if you did not it will an experience to you to avoid it 2nd time 🙂. Have a nice day greetings from Thailand
1:12 Depending on what gate you arrive at, it can be a pretty long hike to Immigration. The golf cart you see on your left is easy to reserve and rent. After a 20 hour flight (including layovers) it's a nice and reasonably price perk. 4:32 Plus if you rent a golf cart you can get a VIP Immigration so rather than waiting in the long line you're looking at here, you get through faster. I've never had to wait behind more than one person. 9:55 With that line at the taxi queue you might spend another half hour or more. The golf cart rental has an optional package to have a private car. All in all you can easily save more than an hour of time.
