My 400 had the same issue but I started using Harvest King bar oil(a little thinner but really good) so now the chain is clearly getting oiled without being drenched. I cut big oaks just about every week where the 25” light bar is routinely buried and I have zero issues. Stihl oil works the same but at twice the price. HK is around $8 a gallon plus shipping so I get 4 gallons at a time.
Good morning you as well sir There in short supply around here as well i was just lucky that theres like 3 dealers and 2 out of 3 had 1 or 2 but not an abundance
I own husky stihl echo makita/dolmar and there is less plastic on stihl thany any of them pro saws any way i cant speak for home owner and farm ranch saws other than the handle and thats the only model i have seen with plastic handle

Nice, and seems easy enough
Its is very simple and adds a considerable amount of oil it seems ill know more when i run them today
There was no way that the cheaper 460 high output pump was gonna run you dry before fueling
I am having the exact problem with my 400 c.still under warranty.
Good morning everyone, it's been 3 months since I ordered my Ms 400 still haven't got it.

Honestly the plastic parts is why many stay away from stihl.
