Fact suggestion #2: at the Royal Baths, if you try to breakdown the cracked wall, before acquiring the Mighty warrior's Sword, Prince will comment on it(that he can't break it down, and doesn't have the strength of Rustam) also after acquiring Mighty warrior's sword when Prince breaks the door after coming down the stairs, Farah will say "you do have the strength of Rustam"
DAMN, the fact that the Prince got his pants dirty after rolling in the ground and he cleans them himself or cleaning them with water proves that Ubisoft was ahead of their time back then, now they are behind their time

The staring thing is such a cool detail and one of the reasons why older games were better. They weren't bound to socio-political nonsense about "male gaze" bs.. This is a great organic detail that ultimately serves the relationship between these two, it's a simple detail but it works better than say if they had made full fledge cutscenes about it.

Fact suggestion: at the zoo, when you go inside without bringing the ladder up, Farah will callout by saying "HEY!" and if you come back for her(after finishing off the scrabs and finding the cracked wall where you can't crawl), Prince will tell Farah he was just making sure that the path was safe first additionally Farah will comment on Prince's words, when she crawls thru the cracked wall also: after finishing off the vultures at the zoo, when you go to that ladder's hole, Prince will comment "I wonder what this does"
seems like there was supposed to be a Griffith boss and he was cut, he was probably then put in the second game after getting the wraith mask. we need to find an employee who can say what the cut content is, 1/5 is a lot, they should add the cut content in the remake but i have zero hope from modern ubisoft, i'd be surprised if they don't screw up what is already there.
@@poptuts WW itself feels cut lol, didn't they work on it less than a year and then ubisoft AGAIN asked them to release it for the holidays? seems like they were so short on time they had to use 1's cut content out of necessity more than anything else, i'm playing WW right now because of the ubisoft free month and it feels like it was released 4 months too early at best, all the bugs and glitches aside the second half of the game feels rushed and linear unlike the first half which is more of an open sand box, i assume you'll talk about these in a future video for WW with the same format. One thing i'd like to know is confirmation about them forgetting to open the doors at the end of WW, this always irked me as a completionist and forced me to always play more than 1 time to get everything, in the first part of the game you can backtrack anywhere in case you missed a chest or weapon but after getting the mask a lot of doors close to lock you in the very specific path the wraith needs to take, after losing the mask you are at the endgame and all that's left is the final boss fight, this is the point in which all games of this sort let you go back and pick up everything you've missed before finishing the game but all the wraith doors are still closed for no reason, it really seems like the doors were supposed to reopen at that point but they just forgot doing it due to the game being rushed, i wonder if some employee can confirm this was indeed an oversight
@@wanded the only time you have the whole game open is just before the mask but after scorpion sword. The closed doors bugs everyone out and it was probably an oversight. The open world nature of the game was probably very tricky to develop since you have to revisit areas and depending where you are story wise in the game, the areas can be different. The game actually had around a year and a half of development, its actually the two thrones that had the least development.
I wonder if they used the Jak 2 engine they could have had more people on-screen. Or maybe the time rewind mechanic would take too much space anyway. Still, in the final version all scenes with many people were done through FMVs, so it does not really matter.

Creative freedom, little boundaries, only those owing to a limited hardware that was pushed to its limits, but still keeping in mind a game should, first and foremost, entertain. Be funny and entertaining on a mechanical and gameplay level, engaging and meaningful on a deeper, emotional level. Games that tried to tell stories, not to relay the creators' political "message". In the immortal words of Jeremy from PurePwnage, at the core of every game there should have been a simple philosophy: "you control stuff, and have it interact with other stuff, and then your brain generates FUN". And for the most part it was like that. Hardly a game that didn't try to introduce some specific mechanic, or a quirk unique to a franchise. And look at us now, dopamine drugged, bedazzled by the pretty graphics and colors, hooked to that milquetoast feeling of gambling in the form of microtransactions. Look at us not owning a physical copy of any game anymore, but purchasing mere licenses to play, to be revoked at the whim of the developer or hosting platform. Unfinished, vapid products being released on strict deadlines, but hey, pre-order now or you don't get your bonus shiny virtual objects, fear of missing out, much? Bugs, huge patches, games that just don't feel fun anymore, few exceptions here and there of course. Gaming journos turned from semi-freelance enthusiasts with a passion for games into literal shills paid to astroturf mediocre, soulless triple A products. Us left here wondering if it was the money who ruined games, or if gaming becoming from a fringe hobby to a mainstream medium did the dirty deed. Who knows. Well look at me grumbling and complaining, now I know I've grown old. Anyway Japan, I'm jealous of the gorgeous game cover you guys ended up getting.
Ubisoft should remake the trilogy and then write a trilogy for their next three games where they can feature the conquest of maharajha in the island of time which will feature farah as a child character...
