But it would not make sense. The old man did not journey with the Prince. How would he know the story ?
In the Two Thrones it made sense for Kaileena to tell the story since she is the Empress of Time.
@@ghostpinguin he is the prince's mentor. So it's easy to imagine the prince himself told him what happened in the island. He loves talking about his adventures anyway.
It would break the story line. The prince was telling the story to Farah in Two thrones. All three games are narrated by the Prince.

It's been 20 years and i still am OBSESSED with this game. Ubisoft sould hurry the fuck up with the first remake so they can get started on this remake.

24:19. Since I first finished the game, I've always assumed that the fountains in the final version of the game actually depict Kaileena. She looks close enough, and she is "crying" after all. In my opinion, this was a decision meant to provide a bit of visual storytelling, to make Kaileena a more sympathetic character.
I also quite like the idea of these fountains as an example of how the Prince is benefiting from her terror, as he is metophorically drinking her tears to sustain himself, as the actual Kaileena is actively trying to kill him.

WW is a pretty lengthy game and yet so much seems to have been cut. The 3rd tower is definitely the most interesting omitted section.

@@Games-1a Ww may have been a completely different game at that point. SOT started selling insanely well at the end of ww development. So seeing the success Ubisoft would change ww to be more like sot.
Ah, my favorite Prince of Persia game of all of them. I still love this game and remember how to play it. Heck, I completed it last summer and it was so satisfying. They don't make games like this anymore. And god, I wish so much to see one day a Warrior Within style open world Prince of Persia game so badly that I can even see it in my dreams. Just imagine a open world Prince of Persia game, with dark tone like in Warrior Within, gore and visual representation, where you can travel around the world and visit familiar locations, driving on horses, ships, running on the rooftops and talking to familiar characters or encounter familiar enemies and changing the outcome of what you do with them. Like, imagine forcing Dahaka to become your ally. How cool that would be!
Warrior Within is a unique gem. Nothing comes close to what the game was able to do.

During the initial confrontation with Kaleinna in the Throne Room wielding the Lion Sword, she uttered a particularly intriguing and contradictory line, "I hope that Dahaka had killed you and Shadee stopped you from reaching the Island," if I recall correctly. However, in the favorable conclusion, when you obtain the Water Sword and confront the Dahaka, its appearance baffled Kaleinna, prompting her to exclaim, "What is this thing?" in an unrecognizable manner, suggesting she was unfamiliar with the Dahaka. This implies that if the Prince had battled Kaleinna with the Water Sword in the Throne Room, she would have expressed the same sentiment, indicating her desire for the Dahaka to eliminate the Prince. This leads to the theory that the Dahaka is one of the Empress's servants dispatched to pursue the Prince in the early story narrative. I hope this theoretical observation reaches you and is considered for review, as I have thoroughly played Two Thrones numerous times and extensively explored its hidden content.

Most likely she knew about Dahaka and its role, but not its appearance nor how he carries out his role.
Afterall, he tried to kill her too because of his job demands it since she was not supposed to be in the Present, meaning she has no command over it.

Oh I am so thankful to get to see that there are so many people out there who still love this game. Kaileena is the very reason I aquired a taste for fine Goth women. This was my very first game I was really into. I remember playing it over holidays but I never made it past Shadee untill I turned 13-14 ig.

16:44 Okay, i dont know if anybody will relate to this, but i got a tragicomic history to share because my brain exploded last night watching this video.
When i was younger, i played WW after 2T, so was a shock when the fight with Kaileena began.
However, in my cursed version of the game, after the fight, i was teleported to the gate and... that was it. That were never the cutscene where Dahaka throws the Prince. The gate was solid and intact just like in the begining. I played and re-played this dvd many times to see if this bug would go way and never gone way, because of course it wouldnt.
Then, i got back to the store to return it and got another DVD (cuz i wanted to finish the game, duh).
Fast foward to the fight with Kaileena aaaaand... guess what? I GOT THE PROTOTYPE VERSION YOU MENCIONED IN THE VIDEO!
I was never teleported back and i was able to make my way through the broken statue, trace all the way back where we got the Spider Sword and that was it. Now after almost 20 years i finally get what the deal was.
Years went by and i was only able to finish the game when i was an adult already with a gaming pc and with the Steam version of the game and FINALLY was able to cross that motherf**king gate
I screammed last night when i saw the pictures of the prototype version, all those dots connected so many years later hahahahaha

Literally, if it wasn't for... "really unnoficial releases" you can be sure that the PS2 era here would be just completely innexistent. The games were just insanely expensive (literally, at stores, one game was sold as 1/3 of the whole PS2 price)

I want to add on something i noticed in the demo vs the final build in the ship level where you fight Shadee. The Demo version allows you to move the camera while the final build does not. And also the cutscene where they lock swords before the Prince is thrown overboard, the animations are slightly different for the prince.

23:03 - Toothless Prince is something that bothered me back then. I thought that it’s some graphics bug, or that Prince lost them after the first Shahdee fight. Why did they do that? It looks so strange. I just couldn't accept that the protagonist lost all his teeth 😁
They removed it for some reason, I guess they didn't like how it looked in cutscenes? Not sure.
to this day warrior within works on new modern pc with less bugs than any other ps2 games idk why. even 2 thrones has problems but this game
When prince sees dahaka in the garden tower i think the Dahaka just patrols the island going around searching the prince maybe it was intended to us to believe that the dahaka chases are random and he just searching for us. Before first fight with Kaileena there is a vocie line where prince said the dahaka learned to find him in the past. So the dahaka searches for him and the first encounter the dahaka seems that he is searhing for the prince. Sorry for my english i'm trying hard :) How cool it would has been seeing dahaka search for us far away when wee make parcours hope one day on the remake they consider this as option.
When Prince says "He has learned to find me in the past" I believe this is a mistake. I think the reason Dahaka did come back to the past is because Sand Wraith and Prince exist in the same timeline which is not allowed. Dahaka came only to kill one of the Princes which is why he ignores the second one. Plus in the past, Prince had not opened the Hourglass yet meaning the Dahaka has no issue with him.
@@poptuts And probably because its the "fate" of the Sand Wraith.
As in its meant to give the user a second chance if they are supposed to die or suffer a terrible fate.
But since the Dahaka is sensing the non-wraith Prince isn't dying, he come to kill at least one of them to fix that.

Someone should make a mod where they add-in all the cut voicelines that can still fit into the game. Especially the direction ones. It would flesh everything out so much more! This masterpiece of a game will actually become better xD
I hope after the SOT remake, they make a WW remake while adding the voicelines too
That would be cool but we would need access to the engine for that to work. All we have been able to do so far is replacing the already existing sounds in the game.

@@GrumpyCat97 Yep, Ubisoft took the Remake away from the Indian Studio and gave it to the Studio who made the Sands of Time Trilogy (Ubisoft Montreal) and i think they are currently in the concept phase

Yeah, I did each cut content as its own project and didn't compare the sound levels of all projects combined when editing. I will keep an eye on it next time 👍

i finished the game on ps2 back then it was the best POP games , then i recently play this game again on pc a couple months ago but sadly there are some bugs that wont let me finish the game
As far as cut weapons go, there is a sleek curved blade in the cinematic which in the ship from the video gallery which also seems to be there in the WIP videos as well which might have been a primary weapon for the prince.
Yeah something i stupidly forgot to mention. I also forgot to mention the eagle sword changing colour through development, it was originally all silver.

Can somebody please explain what is the meaning of that wierd symbol/logo cover in blood, in the game you see that symbol everywhere: on brute back,when you die , when you start up the game,on the health bar ,etc... Please if somebody have an answer or a theory about that symbol I will be verry pleased to listen every answer.

As much as I like this game, it feels incomplete. There was something missing like you said a third guard tower. The voices for directio of the prince would have made sense. The others like "the palace is falling apart like its mourning of the loss ofnthe princess" would have made soooo much sense, because it felt like it, but it was up to my imagination.
On the other hand the extra puzzles were tideous and wouldn't add much extra.
So If i had the might to change it, I would've given the devs more time for some extra main swords as rewards for the extra puzzles. Also Some more bosses and not that giant only coming back in other armor or throwing explosives. Wth.

Another cut content developers do is that they changed the Prince's face. In the end we got a more rounded face like at 28:36. But in the same DVD/CD you got there are some renders that show Prince with a face model based on the original SoT. 28:07 is one of that renders but there are many others

Yo great video good job. I watched both your videos about the cut content and they were great but there is one thing I was hoping you would have answered. At the altar room or the place you fight and kill shahdee, there was a big black opening in the wall. This hole has no purpose. For years every time I would play the game I would always think about the purpose of that huge hole. I swear I once watched a walkthrough for the game years ago and it showed that when you play as the sandwraith where you will come from the garden tower, you will enter from that hole and the cutscene where shahdee and kalinee fights together and shahdee tries to kill kaleina play. But I never found that video or anybody who talked about that thing. And we know in the game we come from original section we passed at the beginning of the game in reverse. So I was wondering if you got any idea about that thing or if there was any content behind that opening in the wall. Or maybe I was just imaginning stuff and there was no purpose behind that hole

Hmmm, its not really on my mind at the moment. I think 2008 and The Forgotten Sands would get videos before TLC would to be honest.
5:14 You can clip through the door in main hall during first visit and actually see the Story Value (special counter in game memory to track players progress, used in speedruns a lot) counting up when you going through corridor to hour glass. Maybe it means there was something cut.
I tried to zip through to see if the cutscene is there but it is not. Just the storygate increases and nothing else.
Just a question.. who is the person who's shows in the end of warrior within canon? Is he the dark prince?
Its a vision of the future shown to Prince by Kaileena. Originally there was going to be a separate Prince who is evil but they changed the story for t2t.

I remember the soundtrack changing during the boss fight in the demo if you live long enough.(lyrics would play) I don't think I ever got this to occur in the base game. (Shahdee fight, mag.demo)
