Video was helpful! I just picked up a manual 2016 m4 comp in tanzanite blue. Dealer sold it listing it as “base” model so I was confused cuz it had all the comp components. Everything in the car matched your descriptions of the comp and so I literally got a comp pack for the price of a base. It even came with upgraded Harmon karden and heads up display. Dealer had no clue what they were even selling 😂
Good luck with it and by the sounds of it looks like you got something a bit special there!
Brilliant video. I have recently bought a 340i and love it however I’m always on the lookout for my next car and this could be it. Love the videos on your channel, you got another subscriber 😃.
Brilliant comparison video, so much information gained. Thank you bro!
I was looking for this exact video! Very nice and helpful.
Thank you!
You welcome!
Dankeschön. Cooles Video toll erklärt und ein guter Vergleich!💯
the most important part is the better differential and the stabilators in the front and back. the competition is a much more capable car through this in corners
I guess though if you have the GTS flash on both cars then the difference is even smaller?
@@DownShiftThrottle the difference is smaller but the differential is actually another one completely (there is even a m performance diff you can buy but i dont know if bmw themselves still sell them anymore).
and the sway bars are also different, they are thicker to absorb more energy and make the car stiffer and by that better for corner handeling. i would guess you could also just buy other ones or used ones from bmw/3rd party dealers since a gts flash wont change a thing with these parts.
the good thing is that the m4 has one of the best aftermarkets of any new car. so finding things to improve your car will be easy anyway. you can clearly do way better mods for corner performance on your car than a competition is able to achieve in stock form. but the price for the competition pack itself is really a great oppertunity to start from.(2.5k i believe)
Great video 👍. A nice comparison of the differences between the two.
Thanks mate. Appreciate it. Hopefully makes it easier for people to understand when you got both side by side and getting an unbiased opinion lol
Good informative video! Enjoyed watching. BM3 with a GTS or CS Map with custom burbles is definitely tempting im a sucker for burbles 😂.
Its definitely on the cards
Great video, really enjoyed 💯
Thank you. Hope you found it useful 🙂
Great video! Very informative and worth a watch! 👍🏼
Thank Sonny! Need to link up soon with a mini meet!
@@DownShiftThrottle Definitely!
I owned a comp pack for a while and hated the 3 second long pops and burbles. A few years later and I got a non comp pack manual and the over run 'farts' and much more enjoyable to play with.
Should have kept it and went to valvetronic designs they sorted that shit out now it makes a dope sound without those pops and burbles
There’s a button for that :).
very good video!
Love my competition 🔥
Lol I love my non Competition too haha
Thank YOU !!! For this video
Great video mate, love both cars and wouldn’t turn either away. Hope to buy a proper M car in a few years, still loving driving my M140i. Having the underbody brace fitted this Friday and I plan to have the VUDU remap later this year by the guys at AET Motorsport. Had the Remus axle back fitted a few months ago and it made a noticeable difference to the acceleration.Modding is so addictive even at my age ( I’m probably old enough to be your dad 🤣)
Lol....you gotta be in your 60's then. Yea the M140i is a cracking car to fettle with. If you fancy it on the channel give me a shout as theres always space and time for a M140i for the channel
DownShift Throttle would love to meet some time, I’m up to Bolton on the 9th October I could stop of in your city in the morning if that would work out for you. I’m still less than 60 though 🤣🤣🤣
Yes mate that would be great. Follow me on Instagram @k4byx and we can keep posted there
Nice video. I love white bmws
so many BMW’s sit so high from factory. looks so much better with a slight drop.
Definitely right. The arch gap was way too much on my M4
Agreed .... I look away every time I see that front arch gap...
Get it dropped mate!
I go for competition
Can someone with m4 knowledge please clear something up?
Is there 3 different g82 models?
-m4
-m4 (competition pack)
-m4 competition
Its just i when looking for one to buy, some have the competition badge and some dont? Whats up with that?
Depends where you are, in the UK the G82 is only offered as Competition. Competition and competition pack are essentially the same. Just how they are described. You have the option of RWD and AWD (I think unless in the UK now they may only be AWD) other parts of the world the G82 was offered as M4 (less power) and M4 Competition or Competition Pack (same thing) with about 20-30hp over the M4
Crap, sorry, i meant f82?
@@DownShiftThrottle
@DownShiftThrottle Because im in the uk, and going to see a 'm4 competition 2018 f82' and i noticed it didnt have a comp badge, so i asked him if it was actually a competition, and he said yeah...
@@DownShiftThrottle even when i type into google "2018 f82 m4 competition rear" barely any of them have the competition badge below the title badge. So confused haha
The F82 didn’t have the competition badge, those that do have been retrofitted by owners…..my blue one is a competition. Look at my vid which compares non comp with comp
So many differences you missed tbf I noticed both cars wer pretty basic specd my 2015 m4 has a better spec than both cars featured I think I just got lucky with spec as I didn’t even know when I bought it
They are not LCI
They are indeed
@@DownShiftThrottle isn't that the old headlights?
Nope these are LED headlights a standard feature on the LCI. The Icon lights are an option. Compare these to a pre LCI and you will notice they had xenon headlights standard and LED as optional. M4 from 2016 is a LCI
Not a good comparison vid when you have changed the non comp with comp bits lol. Such as black grilles, black M badge etc...
A stock to stock vid would have been more appropriate.
