The logo is great. I live in a city with a large Portuguese community here in southeastern Massachusetts. I’m a 3 rd generation French Canadian who married a Portuguese emigrant. We have Barcelos Rooster’s in the house and your snail is so perfect. 😍 I’ll be interested in the colors you use. It’s brilliant ❤ love how you enjoy building and I love watching your progress. ❤ your parents too.
I think a Portugal map would sell very well. There are a lot of UA-camrs in your area and between you all there must be thousands of subscribers who are dreaming about or planning a life there as I am. I would certainly buy one and I'm sure many others would too.

I really enjoyed your video. Being an art director for a greeting card in Canada, I can't help but make a suggestion for you to consider if you plan on adding color to your logo. I really like it as it but if you do decide to add colors to it then I would suggest the following: apply the same colors and format as the rooster logo, with white background and black snail shell with color on the flowers, the body of the snail in red, the heart also in red with a white outline. The overall color and format would look very Portuguese with your own unique style blended with it. Just a thought. Keep it up.
Logo looks cute. Folks have been doing merch quite successfully in an arrangement with clothing companies who handle the printing of orders and dispatches and send you profit margins. Just want to make sure u choose a good quality fabric and design with ethical sourcing that fits your philosophy. Might help with income stream.
Oh yes, I was a Nordique fan. A very big one as I was born in Quebec although mostly raised in Ontario. We visited my mom's family in Quebec alot so I was hooked to that hockey team. Like you I was very disappointed when they were no more and had been bought out by Calgary. I also stopped watching hockey from that moment on.

Sure! I'm trying to make a go of UA-cam which, with a lot of work, let me scrape together a meagre living. I'll do a video all about UA-cam soon, I think. I also do some online writing and the occasional bit of work here on other people's lands. 🙂
One way to learn Portuguese would be to integrate more in the Portuguese culture by socialize with Portuguese people, making Portuguese friends. Coming from Portugal to Canada myself, that really helped me. It forced me to speak more English then Portuguese.😊 The LOGO is really cute and it really represents you and your channel 🤩
Yes definitely! I have Portuguese friends but many are a part of our larger English-speaking group so that’s the default language unfortunately. But I need to do better!
Great video! You answered so many questions that I've had and managed to stay out of the blistering hot sun too! In one of your videos, you hinted at something you and your friends might like to create together with your land. I'm wondering if you're thinking about creating some sort of retreat or campground. Could you talk more about that, or is it too early to talk about at this point.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! We don't have any plans for our collective land, just that we'll be close and will share tools and tasks and spend a lot of time together. I wouldn't be crazy about managing an accommodation business or anything like that so I think it'll just be a cool space for us. Maybe one of them might host volunteers in the future but I'm definitely not set up for that. Not yet, anyway! 🙂

That’s a great question but I don’t like to talk about legality stuff in the channel… my advice is always for people to talk to a lawyer and the town hall and get all of the info for what’s possible on the land directly from them. 🙂

You could make the snail's shell as if it were made of stone, a blue door in the place where the snail comes out and put the hearts and flowers in the snail's body. I stopped following Ice Hockey in person (used to have a season ticket) when I had my first child. Mine are English teams being in the UK 😂 Nottingham Panthers originally as that is my hone town. I moved and started to follow the local team. It underwent a few name changes in that time - Durham Wasps, Newcastle Cobras, Newcastle Riverkings then they went bust 😢. I did follow the Edmonton Oilers for a few years. Not watched in years 2 more special needs kids and no more time 🤣🤣🤣 Only other sport I followed was figure skating, I even took lessons for awhile but damn that was expensive 😂

I think the logo is very cute! By the way, in the winter time do you have to do anything special to keep your Polly tunnel heated for overwintering your peppers and any other plants? Maps are so cool, you should do one for your little area, there is a gal that does maps for her business & friends there she is from Frankie off Grid she is very talented like you are and makes some great property maps, logos, etc. you may already know her her first name is Clarissa (sp?) I tried to do your Amazon wish list but it's impossible from the US, maybe I'll try again next time I have some money.

I think the logo is very cute! By the way, in the winter time do you have to do anything special to keep your Polly tunnel heated for overwintering your peppers and any other plants? I live in the high desert in Arizona and it can get really cold here too in the winter time. Right now it's in the hundreds LOL

Hi Kirsty. This was really interesting. I can tell you are a ‘glass half full’ gal. Yeh, the parcel/mail situation there is, well, just sad. I mean a card having to go to customs? Some common sense required. My brain has gone into merchandising mode. Seems you should source someone in another country to get your logo onto merch and do the posting as well. Winner, winner chicken dinner. More money, more improvements. Yehhhhhhhhh. Also I can see you are a responsible person and you take accountability for your actions. Eg, the language. Well no wonder I keep hanging with you. I love the logo as is. Now that you’ve explained the meanings of the components, it comes with a story. I like that. Sorry if I missed you saying it, (if you did), but are you considering putting a verandah on the front of the house? Maybe wrap around to the side as well? Just sayin’. Also, just thinking, when the money comes rolling in and you can purchase supplies, think about getting volunteers in to do certain jobs. Carpenter, veranda puter upperer etc. haaaa.
