This is a challenging painting for sure. It looks easy which is a clue. Now look at my Stone Bridge Painting. That looks hard but is actually easier than it appears - Happy Painting folks

Paul, this video tutorial on painting Seascapes is the best video I’ve ever watched on UA-cam!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 5 Stars!! I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks and I’m so happy I found your videos! I’ve been struggling with painting seascapes with foamy waves on the beach, and painting stormy cloudy skies, and painting pastel skies. This video has helped me out tremendously! I like how you take your time explaining everything in detail and you go slowly enough for someone to be able to paint along without rushing along to paint the next step. Thank you so much for helping me!! I’m a self taught artist from watching Bob Ross videos and the only thing I struggled with was painting the waves and sea foam on the beach and painting palm tree branches so they look realistic with seascapes. The pastel colors in the sky with lots of clouds and sunrises & sunsets are the kind of things that I love painting the most. Can you please do 3 video tutorials for us and paint a seascape with pastel skies with clouds and palm trees with a small & thin bright & soft pastel rainbow? My rainbows look terrible and they aren’t bright enough and they look like a “ mud mixer.” And Can you please also do another seascape video with blue and purple stormy skies with palm trees? And please do a video on how to paint a stormy sky with a tornado? That would be totally awesome if you could please do 3 video tutorials on those! I would be so grateful and happy if you could please. Thank you for all that you do….Your new fan from the United States!

Welcome aboard the channel and to your journey into the world of art. Lots of great ideas and I'll add them to my growing list of things to paint. I have so many projects to do its going to take a while before I get to them. I might mix a few ideas into other scenes too. Keep watching and learning and practicing. Its nice to meet a lovely fan - Paul 😃😍😎

Hi Lolly - yes my silly sense of humour. Thank goodness I don't know how to do more filming effects. It would look like a Max Sennett film of the Keystone Cops with brushes! Yes, finger painting is tops. I remember teaching a group of ladies from the local Womens Institute how to finger paint - wow what a mess! They arrived all twin sets and pearls and smelling of damp labradors and left looking like .. the Keystone Cops! - Have a great rest of the weekend 😃😍😎

Hi Paul!! Bingo!! you solved my nemesis problem- the softness of the sunglow and rays. And bonus! The finger painting for clouds! Also very cool wave prop!! I think I really want to try this one. It’s really beautiful! I hope my grasses can turn out as nice as yours. Usually they are definitely pickle moments. Uh oh- I hope you were able to find your egg!! 😆🤗🐣have a great week!

Wonderful Stephanie. I like the tappy tappy soft sun rays too. Check out the Rowboat on the Beach painting by Bob. The sky looks a little tricky and the colours seam a little odd but it works so well. I love finger painting! I always have a spare one and they're easy to clean! And yes I found the egg - It didn't last long though! have a great week - Paul 😃😎😍

@@PaulRansonArt thanks for the encouragement Paul. You’ve definitely made me a better painter since I picked it up less than 2 years ago. I really like how you’re able to show it doesn’t have to be done on a huge canvas with massive mounds of paints. I recently heard that Nic Haskins would soon go on tv under BRI and make a season, if so I hope he stays with tradition and brings great artist like yourself on as guest.

Hi Steve and Mrs Angel - Bob did so may lovely paintings but this one always catches my eye. Hence the video and the nickname - The Easter Egg. My upload and notifications when a bit astray I think changing to british summertime throws everyone off. AS for Poppy Cat and Henny Puss. They're relaxing after a nice fishy breakfast smoothy. Hi Paul, thanks for the video! I have followed along with some of your videos now, but my throat and chest always hurt for a few days afterwards - even with the windows open, fans on, and avoiding OMS with your technique for wiping off brushes on tissues. The room itself also ends up smelling quite heavy for a few days afterwards too. I noticed that some of the images of bob ross paints online look visually different too - some are marked as non-toxic, but also other say on the label they are harmful to health and need to be used in a well ventilated area (which seem to be the ones I have). Has a formula that changed over time maybe? Is this something you have experience or insight into - or happen to have any insider knowledge on how to acquire the non-toxic versions of the paints? Many Thanks :)

Hello John - knowing anything about the cogs at Bob Ross Inc is well above my pay grade so I don't have an explanation. I do remember that some tubes destined for the California market had extra labels warning of various hazards. This was to comply with the California state laws that were really hot on anything like paint etc. But as far as I know the paints were the same. It might be that your particularly sensetive to all sorts of paints - artist and household. Yes my studio also has a lingering scent of oil paint that I have become so used to it feels odd if its not there. I wonder if a switch to water mixable oils might be a possible solution. It will mean adapting a little as there's no liquid clear or white. So I use a little linseed oil as a substitute for clear and then scrub in titanium white for liquid white. But they are still oil based paints. The only difference is that you clean up with water. So no solvents. p.s. Bob Ross 1", 2" and round brushes don't like water at all so use synthetic brushes. - Hope my long reply gives you some answers and possible solutions. - Paul 😃😎
