I am so envious of this trip! THere is so much beauty in this world we just gotta stop and see it. One of these days I'll make a similar trip, not necessarily to Alaska but just explore the world around me more.

You have to worry more about the moose than the bear and be really weary those pesky little buggers they call Wolverines. They’ll bite a bears testicles off and not even think twice about it. Enjoy your stay.

And I have been enjoying the trip as well and the lil focus is doing pretty good but I know ur foot has to get tired since u don't have cruise control. Some towns will not allow a Walmart Supercenter. They take too much business away from existing grocery stores.

Hey Dave, Canada has a lot of those pull off areas but we’re way behind on the truck stop game. America has way more truck stops that actually cater to drivers with nice pumps, showers, bathrooms, paved lots. Our truck stops here I find are more dirty, gavel lots. More far apart and less of them.

I'm just back hauling from Chicken alaska. Went to North pole first. First time up this way. Been an amazing trip. Glad your enjoying my home of Canada. Too bad you won't experience the east coast.

You thought that walmart looked old as of a few years ago(idk now) Canada still had walmarts with the always branding from like the early 2000s now that is a blast from the past
So cool seeing you drive through areas I’m familiar with. Fyi, the Alaska Highway might be closed due to a wildfire near Fort Nelson, be safe out there.
If you want to see some mountainous wrecks in BC watch Highway through Hell on the Coquihalla.

I actually rented a Focus, years ago. But one I actually liked. Not the model you have. I don't like the two tone color either. But, I know, it ain't my car.
That wouldn't be a beach. It's just a small lake, if not a river/creek.
I recently moved from southern Erie County PA to central coastal OR. There are occasional pull offs, parking, along 101, to watch the pacific ocean.
Canada and Alaska are beautiful, its on my bucket list. A long way from Europe 😊

I’m enjoying your sojourn to Alaska greatly, wonderful views! I know you probably know this, Canada is part of North America so technically they are Americans too. The same goes for folks from Central and South America. So when you refer to back in America, you should actually acknowledge that you mean the United States. We are citizens of the United States of America, although colloquially we have shortened it to America. Enjoy your ride!

Here in Oregon we have a big mall and a target that’s connected like that, but I’ve never seen a Walmart like that or an old outdated one like that either

Bear spray is legal in Canada because I work at a Canadian tire in Canada and we sell it
Do you plan on taking the ferry boat back from Anchorage to Seattle ? There are a few islands in the Southeast with roads and camping they stop at on the way down. You get to see glaciers and whales along the way of the five day trip. EDIT-TO SAY - You can sleep in your car on the ferry and not have to worry about looking for a spot to park.
As a stupid kid myself, it annoys the hell out of me as well every time someone does something like that to an old sign or building, especially when they put something inappropriate on them. 😂👍 13:39
