    The Torpedo C.A.B. M takes Two Notes’ acclaimed cabinet emulation technology and packs it into a pedalboard-friendly enclosure. Thanks to this speaker cabinet emulator pedal, you can bypass your guitar or bass amplifier’s cabinet while preserving every ounce of your tone and spatial dimension. This pedal is loaded right out of the box - you get 32 guitar and bass cabinets, eight power amplifiers, eight microphones, and eight rooms.

    I just got this and I’m just gonna say that this is a game changer. I’m running a Kemper stage into this m plus to get a double amp sound with specific settings so it doesn’t sound weird and get phasing issues. Then out to my boss rc 1 loop station. I have to say this…….THIS IS THE COOLES THING EVER! My tone went from 100 to 10,000!!’ I have super complete control.

    I just got one of these through your eBay store. Sweetwater Music is great. I love this CAB M. Running it with Hotone Ampero and it brought the Ampero to a whole other level of good sound and reactive, dynamic feel while playing. As always, you guys sent candy too.

    I'm not certain - but it seems like if y'all change the Shutter speed on the camera - which is recording/filming anything with LEDs (or a display which has lights, etc) - that may lessen the strange "warble" effect of (said) LEDs / lights
    I could be wrong about that - just my humble opinion
    Good video, though - thanks for sharing with us!

    In the diagram you show head with an out and a cab with an in, then you mention you used a Fender deluxe amp. It would have been great if you could simply show in the video how you hooked up your combo amp since there always isn't a clear amp "out" and speaker "in".

    Don't you need any sort of preamp pedal to get a proper sound using the second method mentioned?

      Yes it works, make sure no signal is going into the power amp and you should be fine, keep the cabinet connected.

    Great video! how do you use this with a combo?

    • @TheiPodTouchPenguin
      @TheiPodTouchPenguin 4 роки тому +1

      You can only do that if the combo has an FX loop. Plug the FX send into the input of the cab m, and the speaker out of the cab m into the FX return. That way you can feed your preamp's signal do the cab m, and keep it coming back to the power amp and speaker of the combo.

    • @BadRobotica
      @BadRobotica 3 роки тому

      No you can use it with a combo, it just has to be a straight forward one channel design without a Master. That would make no sense to build something like this and kill 75% of the market out there. All those bedroom players with there combo amps. Nope nope nope I can’t let you kill the Dream bra lol

    Can you connect the cab m into your guitar cabinet speaker and play like that? Using the pedal as a power amp into a real cabinet?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your question! The C.A.B. M doesn't have a power amp built in to it, so it won't power your cab. If you have a powered speaker or cab, you can connect this directly. Otherwise, you would need a power amp in between the C.A.B. M and your guitar cab. Reach out if I can help further!

    I'm assuming I could route my pedal board into this then out to a powered monitor like a JBL EON with good results?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 роки тому

      Hi and thanks for your message, hope you're well and safe.
      The routing path you listed is exactly the use scenario for the the CABM. Front Of House mixer, Recording interface, Full Range Flat Response speaker (like the EON) are all wonderful companions. The CABM has power amp, speaker and mic options to help you dial in your sound.

    Can I connect it with a "digital combo amp". Is it still mandatory for me to have a load box for a connection between the pedal and the combo amp? (I am having a Blackstar ID:CORE100)

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  4 роки тому +1

      The Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. M Speaker Simulator Pedal really shines when using with a tube amplifier or bypassing pedals altogether and going straight to PA systems. Your Blackstar amp has an emulated output on the back of it that, in some way, functions like the C.A.B. M does. Without knowing more about your application, I would either pass on this one or buy it and don't use it with your Blackstar. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me anytime. Thanks for the interest!

      @@sweetwater I was looking at the Captive X not sure how I wound up here. 2nd Hans smoke I guess. I am ready to pull the trigger on the 16 ohm version but I have a one channel Goodsell hand made amp. I should be fine with the captive X and it being a combo amp. I could take the chassis out and set to next to the speaker then if have a cab and a head. Now what do I do ?

    Is it possible to wire in the line out of the torpedo cab straight to the input of a combo amp instead in an inferface??

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Anthony, thanks for your question! Happy Holidays, hope you're safe and well.
      While you can absolutely physically connect the output of the Torpedo C.A.B. M to the input of a combo amp, it's not the designed use for it. Since the C.A.B. M takes the speaker output of an amp and has power amp and speaker and mic emulations, passing that signal into another amp's preamp/power amp/speaker cabinet defeats the purpose of the product, and won't create a very pleasing sound. Better to use as shown in the video, or into a Full Range Flat Response powered PA speaker.
      If I'm not understanding your question, please contact me direct.

    Are there any IRs that simulate an acoustic amp and speakers?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  4 роки тому

      Great question! It doesn't include one from the factory, but you have options. The C.A.B. M simulates power sections and speaker cabinets, so you'd have to provide your own "front end," or preamp. The factory sounds are all electric guitar cabs, but with the multitude of third-party IRs on the market, there may be one available, although I'm not specifically aware of one. Optionally, you could create your own IR using your favorite amp or speaker. See details here:
