I just ordered this yesterday, not knowing it's been updated to M+! Can't wait for mine to arrive. When I saw the gate function, I was confused cos I've never seen it from all the other reviews. TN Rocks! If they make it possible to emulate other amps, I guess it's goodbye for amp modellers.
I’ve had my two notes CAB M for almost a year and just realized the other night there was an update. What a whopper of an update. Torpedo C.A.B. M+ update is amazing. They are running a special deal for owners from Nov 3rd through January I believe to get an additional 12 classic cabinets download for free. You have to unload some of the current Two Notes cabs to open up some of the 32 slots to load the new classic cabs in. Mix and match between these new classic cabs and the default cabs you get on purchase. Noise Gate, Tuner, new preamp, enhancer, new reverb types, unbelievable free update. Like a whole new V2 product. I’m running this with an AMT SS-20 tube three channel preamp into a 12” FRFR Floor Wedge Powered Monitor and the tone shaping abilities of the Two Notes CAB M Plus is crazy in the amount you can change the tones. Hoping they release some other preamps as choice in there also. I understand why they came out with the current Fender modeled preamp for a great pedal platform preamp. Put a plexi drive in front of it or a Friedman BE Overdrive and you basically will nail the sound of the amp you want by putting a drive in front of it that has the characteristics of the amp the drive emulates. One of the best guitar gear purchases I’ve made.
Just did the update today and wow, really love the enhancer and noise gate features, not too sure about the preamp yet but still nice to have. All my drive pedals are preamp so might be the reason I'm not so sure about the preamp. Super happy with this update. I've been tinkering with the idea of using the 1/4 inch as a second output and you just confirmed it. Thanks
@@SixStringAlliance Yes, I'm a regular on the Music Man forum and have seen a lot of your videos over the years...including you getting that guitar. Very well deserved of course.
Great playing there and super insightful demo! I've just ordered a unit and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Can I ask what setting you have the Cab M+ input switch set to with the MXR 5150 running in front? The reason I ask is because I'm a bit concerned about the numerous reports of white noise/background hiss from some users on forums. The Two Note reps have replied to some of these and have stated this issue is down to gain staging and a lot of folk don't have the Cab M+ set up correctly. The reps have suggested turning the input switch from 0bd to +12bd, which is a bit counterintuitive as the manual does state it should be set to 0bd if you're using pedals in front. I was curious as to how you use yours as the sound you've achieved here is excellent! I'm essentially looking to place the Cab M+ at the end of my pedalboard signal chain and use the XLR out to the FoH, much like you are demonstrating in this video. Any advice/insight would be massively appreciated!
Thank you. I can’t recall the settings I’m afraid. This was filmed a while ago. I’ve never experienced any noise what so ever, and even if there was noise CAB M has a superb noise gate. But no, I’ve had no noise issues.
maakwatherrie thanks for the comment. You can store the overall output of each patch, making the levels of each patch alter as desired. I must admit I’ve not really used it with headphones, so I’m guessing that’s a global output setting. But yes you can store patch levels which ultimately effects the headphone output.
Great playing and review man... Did you notice difference between the xlr di and the trs line out in terms of volume? Because when I plug the xlr direct into my scarlett focusrite, I have to set the interface gain input at 0 and it still sounds, with the line out I can set the gain input at 11 o'clock more or less
Not really... I only really use the XLR out, although I played a gig this weekend where I used the TRS out to run into my effects unit to blend stereo effects post Cab M
Thanks.. yes it would as long as you can turn off the speaker emulation with in the boss and just use it for preamp and effects. Although you’d loose the stereo outputs of your effects as this unit is mono. I’m not familiar with the boss, but if it’s like a Line 6 helix maybe you have other inputs and outputs to insert it pre your stereo effects so you add the two notes and still come out of the boss stereo outputs.
What. An. Opening. Track!!!! 🧡 You just melted my face clean off!!
Clean off... or le clean off?
Hey do you know if Twonotes will put out more preamp model updates for the Cab m+?
@@cyanwitch2708 - no plans in the immediate future, but something that is often discussed!
Best demo of the cab m I've seen so far. Having an excellent player doing the demo makes all the difference. Well done!
two notes slapping the Strymon Iridium sideways with this update. just ordered one
From the opening track..I am now a fan....your feel is cool...nice use of pitch axis on tapping section

Fantastic playing, excellent solo

Just got one and it sounds like a million bucks. Gonna try it as my live amp. Oh to have this same pedal with MIDI control.....
Amazing track! Reminds me of Karnivool and Periphery. And the sound is awesome!

I love the tune you put together here....truly epic
Thank you!!
Great demo Jamie. You ROCK like always!
Really creative and interesting opening track! Nice job!
I never knew you had a channel if I knew I would’ve subscribed sooner you deserve more subs
Thanks.. yes it’s frustrating trying to get subs and views.. I just do my thing in a dusty corner of the Internet 🤣
Now that's a tone 🤘🏾
Wicked opening song man!!!
Thank you, Sir! This helped me make up my mind! I’m getting one! :-)
Killer playing as always. Damn I want that guitar.
haha thanks.. this was my design.. Music Man built it for me to celebrate my 20 yers with them as an artists.

Great video. your tutorial / shown settings helped a lot. I got my cab M yesterday. The headphone volume can't be set individually?

excellent demo Jamie !
do you think it could nail the brian may tone with a treble booster in front of it and then choose the right tube + vox cab ?
That I've not tried, but you've got me thinking!! I do use CAB M for my portable Brian rig with a TAE preamp, so in theory it should work!
Very nice J. I'm experimenting with amp and cab impulses. Some of the free demos are outstanding. Keep the vids coming mate 👍😃
Anyone know if Two notes is working on more preamp updates?
They will put so many of the fancy bells and whistles but still no low pass filter... Im confused... Great sounds and playing as usual Jamie!
There is a comprehensive EQ section in the CAB M :)
Have you tried any of Two Notes' preamps? Le Clean, Le Crunch, etc.
Yes I have Le Crunch and Le Lead, both fantastic. I use them for travel gigs and when I’m travelling abroad for Lick Library sessions
@@SixStringAlliance Thanks. I have the Le Clean. I just got the Cab M.
great sound & playing!!!, are you using a loaded IR or a included Torpedo Cab ?
I’m using an IR included with CAB M
Yehhhh
Thanks Pedro!
I would like to see the Mac version of the software
This was recorded using a MAC for remote and iPad for wireless remote. Mac from top to bottom :)
Nice playing, do you think the two notes cab m would work well with a Boss Gt1000 Core?

@@SixStringAlliance Cool, yeah I don't want to lose stereo so will try that.
