Last video of the year! It's been a wild 2023, thank you to everyone who tuned in and made this my best year EVER. Just a heads up that I will be reducing uploads in January to 3 times a week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. There will be no video tomorrow or the next day. I know a lot of you love the daily uploads but I've been pushing myself really hard these last few months. I need a break so I can come back better than ever. Thank you for understanding and Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Charlotte 👑 I will be ever grateful to have stumbled upon your videos on FB and hunted you down on UA-cam lol. You are a vibe and I look forward to more videos however few they are because you make my day. So Thank You❤❤❤ Stay safe Petty one. Cheers🥂
The roleplay was *chef’s kiss*. Also, I just can’t understand people who think it’s okay to ask others to change their bodies just because of wedding pictures. The audacity!
Absolute ZERO chance that mole story is real. I’ve had moles removed several times purely for vanity reasons so 100% out of pocket costs, not covered by insurance. The most expensive one was $250. I don’t care if you go to top flight A1 cosmetic surgeon of the world, nobody is charging $10k. And more obviously, nobody is paying that randomly to their wife’s friend because, duh, photoshop. That girl made a TikTok video so she could point out her mole to let everyone know how much she “LiKeS HeR apPeRanCe dESpiTe hEr FLaWs 🤪”
@@kevinkent6351what a hideous comment! Sometimes you can’t remove them for safety reasons and some people aren’t so fxcking vain!! It would fully be covered up by makeup also. You sound vile. Makes sense your names Kevin 😂
I feel bad for the Groom in a coma who risked his life to save a baby only to have his own bride to be describe a baby as "baggage" and gaslight someone into going to Vegas.
Me too. But hey, better 5 years wasted than 50 years wasted and besides, he got a beautiful family with a new loving wife and 4 adorable children in exchange. 😊 So things worked out well for him in the end. ❤
Interesting you say it like that. Maybe the bride had some kind of personal vendetta against babies because she “blames” a baby for injuring her husband, him having to go through PT, and having to postpone the wedding. I didn’t think about that possibility until you put it that way. No way someone describes a new born as baggage to their friend without having a personal issue. I really dislike kids and even I would never say something that grotesque. It’s a crazy theory, but she sounds crazy enough for it to be possible.
@@cc1526 well could be a reason, but honestly she seems like a bad human through and through. She was a bitch, egocentric, a cheater, and straight up a horrible "friend" and wife
When my best friend got married she was 36 weeks pregnant and, unfortunately, I couldn't attend the wedding because I was also pregnant and got Covid the week before. And even though this woman was very pregnant and it was her wedding, she and her husband left their own party to come to my house, leave food from the buffet at my front door and have a chat through the window, all because they really wanted me at their wedding. And that's just one of the many reasons why she is my best friend and the godmother of my child. She's amazing and I couldn't be happier that our children get to grow up together ♥
Had to miss a close friends wedding because I was 38 weeks pregnant. The day of their wedding the bride and groom came by, cooked me lunch, and just pampered me since I couldn’t really leave the house. I cried and tried to give them a gift but they turned around and gave my husband and i $500 because “we have everything we need, you have a little one” I, of course, did the same thing when she got pregnant with their first.
My bachelorette party was literally just me, my bridesmaids and my mom watching romcoms. We ordered pizza, did each other's make up and played board games. Best party I ever had ❤
Sounds like you have your priorities straight. It always seems like a massive red flag to me when the bride thinks her wedding is similar to the Coronation of a queen. This entire cultural idea that the bride is a princess/tyrant on her wedding day is ridiculous to me. A little pampering and compromising for the bride, fine. This type of bridezilla stuff? Nonsense. I guess my dumb guy-brain always thinks the wedding is about announcing to friends and family that *two* people are spending their lives together. I've said more than once to a friend that if she treats you, your friends and family like this before you even say I Do, it's only going to spiral downward from there.
A Navy buddy married a girl he met while we were in France. They had their wedding in Cannes and the ceremony was shorter than a shotgun wedding. The reception afterwards was about 10 hours of non stop food and drink with never ending fun. Best wedding I have ever been to.
Ah, fellow Europeans know how to handle a wedding and host an amazing party for family and friends ;) I think that is a huge mental shift from North American ppl - they believe a wedding is for them and they're center of the universe at the expense of own guests, while Europeans, we tend to treat wedding as social gathering where our guests are equally important (if not more important) as bride and groom, hence the delicious and plentiful hosting plus superb entertaining. As it should be ;)
@@roksanamakowska-michalak369Mexico is part of North America so it’s not in North America only in the USA n Canada they are boring AF! We have 3 days weddings
You didn't do it on purpose, but thank you for the laugh. Ingest means take something by mouth, in jest means in a joking matter. Still, accidental hilarity 😂
@@eduardocruz4341yeah but they were saying the cocktail hour food was minimal. So think of maybe a bit of bread, possibly with meat inside, as what you get a couple of for breakfast along with a bunch of booze. You are going to be hungry sooner than five hours. And if it was like a two o’clock wedding, people may not have had a full meal since noon and if cocktails are 4 to 5 then dinner is after nine or even 10, that’s a long time without a full meal.
Talk about opposites. He was willing to die for a baby he didn't know, she couldn't even sacrifice having one friend at her bachelorette for the wellbeing of a baby who should have been her honorary niece/nephew. I'm sorry that poor guy had to spend 5 years with a self-obsessed jerk, and I hope his new wife is as good a person as he is.
I was the best man at my best friends wedding. When I walked up to give the speak I unrolled this huge rolled up piece of paper that was 60 meters long ( picture the guy in a medieval cartoon about to announce the king who has 100 different titles) then just said congratulations you two are meant for each other and I hope to one day find what you have. Raise your glasses for the bride and groom. That was it.
At my sisters wedding she wasnt the bridezilla but her husbands family were terrible! They took half of the food and put it in tupperware before the food was served all because they had a party the next day and didnt want to buy food. Almost all the guests were hungry and we had to get food after the wedding. It was ridiculous!
There was (and still is, I think) a trend of fictional stories masquerading as TikTok drama. Sometimes it was just two actors, but most of the time, it involved a group of friends. I suspect the Wedding back and forth was one of those "dramas."
The part that makes me sure is that ANYONE criticized the guest at all. Not to mention her “it was just a blanket” admission, too hilarious to be real.
Some people are shameless tho I know a ex couple who had booked a holiday the guy (who paid) was hospitalised due to illness and the woman decided to go on holiday anyway. Still worked out in the end he left her for his nurse lol
Pretty sure it's not real because it sounds like a story I'd make up. I like making up really goofy stories when I'm with my friends and that wedding story is genuinely something I would make up at tell them about lmao
The “5 hour between cocktails and dinner” happened to me too. Everyone went across the street to a restaurant for dinner and drinks because the bride took photos for FOUR HOURS!
That’s crazy! In my country, the ceremony is in the morning, then pictures, then reception with lots and lots of appetizers, great quality and hot if they have to be (we’re European after all). They may have a couple speeches at the wedding, but not necessarily. Dinner is ALWAYS served at a reasonable hour, and the food is usually great. Usually speeches and sketches are after dinner. Again, we’re European, food is important. 😂 The dessert may be after the dinner and funny skits, and after the dessert, the party starts. I don’t like weddings, but at least ours have great food and we don’t have to wait for it. 😂
@naylas3908 my bestie (hired photographer the whole day) did pics FIRST, which is HELLA smart. 1. First look that's perfect for you and spouse with minimal crying because they can get the bride before the mascara turns into the black Nile all down your face lol 2. Not a ceremonies worth of crying, as some ceremonies can be long and with no one to hover and fix makeup, it's gunna be all cakey and weird and smeary, then yall can literally hug every guest as they make their way to the venue, maybe take a couple silly pics or something fun, or fuck it, skip aby extra all together! 3. Guests don't have to wait hours and YOU'LL be able to...guess what....ENJOY COCKTAIL HOUR! ❤ which imo ends up being th3 best part and sadly for my step sister they wrapped up as she got to the venue :c
The bridesmaids (especially the ones that didn’t even know OP), showing up with diapers, other gifts and support are freaking ICONIC!!! They sound like an absolutely amazing group of women!! I LOVE this story and I love how the fireman found true love in the end and how the selfish C word bride received karma!! 😁😁😁
At one wedding we attended, my poor dad was sat right next to the speakers. Everyone was visibly bored and tired of the speeches. Kids were complaining, and everyone was hungry. When the 8th person went up to speak my dad said out loud 'WHO CARES!?' and put his head in his hands. I think about 5 tables around us burst into laughter. I ducked under the table.
This is why we kept our speeches to my Dad, husband, my bestie & my husband's Mum, & gave them a 5 minute limit. You never want your wedding to feel like your annual corporate meeting.
I love how those bridesmaids became the village his wife needed 1 week postpartum! That’s amazing! And so glad that the hero finally got the love and life he deserved. 👏
I found it hilarious when she was trying to justify the cold pigs in the blanket but then she tried to explain that some of the pigs in the blanket didn't have the pig part in them and I quote everybody loves the blanket part instead of the pig part😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I feel like we did our wedding wrong after listening to so many wedding-related episodes. Beach wedding that cost under $1k, my dress was like a hundred bucks, and my FIL paid for dinner directly after at a local steak-and-seafood restaurant right near the beach, then we just continued the honeymoon at the same beach destination. And most guests stayed, too, so we all hung several times during the week 🤷♀️ No drama, no crazy requests, nothing. I think we did it wrong, but I still loved it 🤷♀️
We live about 2 hours from St. George Island in Fl. My cousin got married at a lighthouse privately then just had a reception on the island. It was awesome.
DID NOT DO IT WRONG.. I WANT THE SAME THING.. my wedding ** reception ** afterwords. I want like a 4 day destination wedding .. who w.e comes 👏👏 if u dnt wanna stay all 4 dayz leave early . I ant *!!! And everyone still gets a vacation Edit. [[ p.s it would be destination wedding cuz I live in Chicago.. so Florida Beach is glamorous 😊 ]]
My sister's wedding was popping. She also called me to include me in me not being in the wedding party due to my severe anxiety. No one was upset, she told me to still buy a black dress to be included in all the photos. I was very happy with how my sister handled everything. Definitely not a bridezilla
@@happylittlevibe honestly walking down the aisle, it was two looks.. traditional African and traditional American dresses, a dance with bridesmaids and groomsmen...she knew I have fun but being in the aisle with all eyes looking...I can't do it. "A short 5 hours after cocktail hour" with pigs in a blanket during cocktail hour is a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG time to wait! I would've shouted for joy too! I gets hangry sometimes.... 😂 11:47
I have had two moles removed in the course of my life. Not for vanity, but because my grandmother had a mole similar to mine, and she died of melanoma when my dad was 6. My parents decided to have the largest mole removed when I was 10. The other one, I had removed at age 20. Anyway, having been through that process twice, the bride doesn't seem to realize that your skin has to heal after having the mole cut off. Even then, you can get a scar. My scar on my neck (that was my big mole) is about half the size of that large mole. It's very easy to see the scar. Also, why can't the bride just have the photograph get the mole out of her personal photos of the wedding? Probably less than $10K to add that edit to it. She can leave it for anyone she's giving the photos to. I don't get how her mole ruins everything.
I had a small carcinoma removed from my neck and I reacted to the suture material. I have what looks like a small bite for a scar. If anyone asks I say it's a eel bite.
Yes, it does leave a pretty good scar. It makes no sense to force someone to go through any kind of body modification just to attend or participate in the wedding. Stupid dumb, people need to do better.
I have also had 2 moles removed. 1 looked like I got shot, the scar was so big, and the other looks like I got stabbed. The moles were smaller than the scars but given a family history of skin cancer, I don’t take risks. That bride was just being ugly and I hope the lady kept the money.
Yeah, mole removal is not a thing to treat lightly. I've got a gnarly-looking scar on my upper chest from a childhood mole removal, and every now and then someone will notice it and assume I'm a melanoma survivor. No, that's just what happens when you cut a big mole off a young child- the scar stretches as you grow up, with the added bonus in my case of crappy suture marks because decades ago no-one cared about minimising the scar. 😅
I 85% think the story was bs. I too have had two removed. I love the internet bc ya all don’t know me. I was born with a raised mole on the lip of my who-ha. When I was five my mom had it removed. I remember it clearly, how scared and traumatizing it was to take off my tights and lay down with all those strangers 😢 I’m going to be 51 years old in a couple of weeks and I can feel how scared I was. And, it did scar! I have a scar on my who-ha! I’m definitely glad I don’t have that mole. Mom knew. The second does look like a bullet wound scar on my shoulder. So, yeah if it is true, she’d have a scar and they are freaks for asking.
Charlotte, as someone who is officially retired as of today, let me congratulate you on changing your schedule to something that will be more manageable for you. I found your channel not long ago and I've often wondered how many hours it must take to go through all those social media posts, find those that would make good content, film & edit your reactions and post them to UA-cam - EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I know you have help, but that schedule has to be grueling for everyone. I hope the schedule change will allow all of you to spend more time doing what you love with those you love.
Many years ago, we attended a family wedding out of state. At the time, our children were 6 and 4. The rehearsal dinner the night before started with cocktails (no food) at 6 pm. When there was no sign of dinner starting by 7:30, I ordered food for my hungry and tired children. After they ate, I took them back to the hotel so they could go to sleep. Never got any food myself. The early afternoon wedding was lovely, but again there were cocktails, no food, for several hours before dinner. This time, we picked up some sandwiches after the wedding and went back to the hotel for naps. I didn't make it to the reception (kids slept for hours), but my husband did. The kids and I watched "Shrek" on the TV and ordered a pizza.
@@Traci2000 I have - we drove 6 hours to get there, the ceremony was nearly 2 hours, another 2 hours just waiting for the couple to show up to the reception, nearly 2 more before there was any food. Afterwards, because we were the furthest travelled, the couple invited us back to their home, where they decided it would be great to sit down and watch the video of the 2 hour-long ceremony!!🤪
About the wedding in which there wasn't much food between the 5 hours: I attended a wedding as a little stand up photographer. Basically, I just stood there and took three photos, which printed out in a little printer and I cut them and gave it to them. So with this wedding, before all the lovely speeches started, people got food before hand. And this was an ACTUAL decent amount of food. So they didn't have to sit there and listen to speeches while going hungry. (Also the wedding was so pretty and the speeches were amazing. I almost cried 🤣)
My son was recently Best Man at 2 weddings. The first wedding did speeches at the reception as usual, but they were kept short and sweet.😊 At the second wedding, they did the speeches at the rehearsal dinner, which was brilliant! That way guest weren’t waiting and hungry at the reception!
I am team table 19!! Lol.. The last wedding we attended was a mini destination wedding about 2-3hrs from the city. We had a get together with the bride prior and she asked if we have any suggestions for the wedding in general. The first thing we suggested was that she and her husband must eat breakfast, with snacks available during their preparation (HMU, dressing, picture taking). They prepared snacks before the ceremony which included a bottle of water, chocolate bars, and candies, and snacks/drinks/cocktails after the ceremony for the guests while waiting for the dinner reception. No one was hangry and everyone enjoyed and joined the program/games before dinner was served. Great wedding!!
If she thinks pigs in a blanket is cool for a wedding, then maybe for the Honeymoon they just rent a room at a holiday inn and eat at the Denny's buffet 😂
After learning what I hated about weddings that I attended, I planned my wedding carefully with those things to steer clear of. My wedding was 5 hours total. 1 hr ceremony mass, immediately followed by cocktail hr with drinks and finger foods and only a 3 hr reception. We had a buffet of cuban food and other items that we knew our family and friends liked (yes, we asked a food preference months in advance to make the menu). We only had 35 guests tops, so this kept everything under control. We also had on the back of RSVP cards song requests. This was used to compile the playlist and people loved hearing their "jam" during the reception.
Yes, no one told me about the bleeding afterwards! I didn’t expect it, especially after a cesarean but it was awful and compounded by the fact that I have a bleeding disorder. New moms take 4-6 weeks recovery for a reason.
sil just had a baby Dec 6th. they did not travel this Christmas. we saw them on zoom (they are in Indiana, the rest of our fam is in Utah and her fam is in Colorado)
I've read that the open wound left from childbirth is about the size if a dinner plate. If it was visible and on the outside of your body no one would be expecting you to go and party with friends.@@ndawn90
Those 6 bridesmaids that showed up to the new mom's place with meals and baby stuff instead of going on the vegas trip are the best, bride had some kick ass friends and an amazing fiance and she threw it all away
My wedding had no cocktail hour, no speeches, none of that extra stuff. We had the ceremony. Right after was the reception and right after that the dance. Simple yet fun and beautiful.
Also we had no catering. Everything was made by my mom and family. It was kind of like a pot- luck. The place we were at had a no alcohol rule because it is a camp ground for children's bible school but I still get compliments 2 years later about how much people enjoyed it.
I feel like it would be soooooooo much more stressful to be a bridezilla than it would be to just be a nice person and have fun with the whole experience. It is supposed to be one of the happiest times of your life, after all.
True dat but to be brutally honest here this is not Disney world where everything and everyone goes smoothly. Life can and will sometimes throw a wrench 🔧🛠️ in the works so don't assume said Bride and/or groom will be all sunshine and unicorn 🦄 cause in reality things happen so deal with it or go home 🏠🏡 6:26
It can get pretty stressful planning a wedding. It seems like everyone has a strong opinion about what should happen. All I cared about was tying my life to my husband’s. I wound up outsourcing. 🤣 You have opinions about the food (my mom)? Here’s the caterer’s number. They have the budget. You care about what we use to serve the cake (my husband)? Here’s the place where you can buy an engraved cake server. You care about the flowers (my mom)? Here’s the florist, budget and what I’m allergic to. Rehearsal dinner? Have fun, in-laws. Tell me when/where to be and who I’m inviting, and I will be there thankful and with a huge smile on my face. We’ve been married 24 years, and I still go with a ‘if you care so much, have at it’ philosophy. 🤣
The speeches at my brother and sister-in-law's wedding happened DURING dinner close to the end. It was nice because everyone ate first or were still finishing their food when the speeches started
My wife's best friend had a destination wedding. Gave everyone over a years notice AND the people they really wanted there couldn't afford the trip, the bride paid for their airfare and resort room. THAT is what friendship is.
Went to a $20k wedding 4 years ago. There was a cocktail “hour”, but hardly any food. They didn’t check id so underage was being served. And it was an open bar. Dinner took a long time to be served at the top of steep stairs. The number of young people throwing up was something!! Furniture was covered in vomit. Nobody could navigate the stairs. Some trashed mother let her kid destroy all the centerpieces. It was a mess.
I kinda wish I was there just to have a video to show the craziness. I bet someone would offer a large amount of money to get that video, especially since it was a 20k wedding. They wouldn't want embarrassing footage out there😂 Edit: had to change the amount I had written 40K rather than 20K. Reason is still funny
A $20,000 wedding should have wristbands for the drinkers with their name printed on it & a dedicated person to check ids and actually put the wristband on the guest😱. I can’t imagine that won’t catch up with that facility eventually.
Our wedding was a destination wedding in that the groom and I lived out of the contiguous 48 on two separate continents. If my inlaws hadn’t moved we would have flown my family to their location; we ended up having it in my home town because in involved flying the fewest amount of people and my family could do all the legwork.
@@ndawn90 that wedding might as well have been held in a parking lot in Newark. at least they wouldn't have to wait 3 hours for the boat cause they could just take the path train out of there and grab a slice of pizza in the city
😂😂 I love these. I was a wedding planner for many years, I think I've experienced many of these. I could write a book... but I think the topper was when a bride hit on me when the groom went to check out the dance floor!!!😂😂😂
I was at my baby brother's wedding and they forced me to make a speech they shoved the microphone in my face while I was crying, all I can say is I'm a blubbering freaking mess congratulations I'm so happy for you guys as I was crying tears of joy! They said that was the best speech throughout the wedding...😂😂😂🎉❤
Aw Bessie, the people I've seen do the "ugly but happy" cry at weddings are my favorite people! I _know_ they are genuinely happy for the couple, and a sweet heartfelt, blubbering speech replete with mascara running and snot bubbles will always get me crying too! Never hold back when expressing joy, because it doesn't happen often enough. 🥲
12:45 My brother's wedding had kind of a lot of speeches, but they started AFTER we got our food. So we could listen WHILE eating. Who makes people wait?? awful approach
We had a destination wedding and didn’t invite ANYONE 🤣 It’s what we wanted and we didn’t want anyone to feel bad if they couldn’t afford to attend so we fixed that by telling everyone they just weren’t invited 🤷🏻♀️
That's perfectly valid. If I ever get married, my ideal wedding is at the courthouse. I don't like ceremonies and being in front of people like that. Just a nice courthouse wedding, a small party (maybe) with family and some friends at the house. That's it. I don't even want gifts or cash.
The folks that could afford to come came to Jamaica with us for ours, and we had both a Zoom Meeting and I also did a TikTok live for the folks who couldn't come.
I made sure everyone was to eat while we did pictures because I hate waiting for the food at weddings. Everyone was happy and full when we arrived and it was great.
Hubby and I had a wonderful wedding in our backyard, by our pond. We had my sisters as bridesmaids in gorgeous summer dresses that they picked, and I did the catering myself. One of the aunts asked me for the caterers card, because she loved it. All that mattered to me as marrying the love of my life.
My best friend from highschool had a destination wedding. I wasn't able to go because of money issues but I was still her 'honorary maid of honor'. I helped plan the bachorlette/bridal shower, went dress shopping, etc. She never made me feel bad for not being able to go and even got me a thoughtful and beautiful maid of honor gift. She also had a reception about a month after they got back that I helped set up and cook for.
I feel for that mother so hard. I literally ended up cutting off all my friends after I had a baby. I was like, I had a baby a week ago, no I’m not leaving her with my mom and going out drinking all night. Like I got the confusion bc I was The party girl before getting pregnant, but confusion and some disappointment is one thing. Calling me a buzzkill, boring, a bad friend; telling me I’ve changed and it’s not like I’m even a good mother, that’s a whole other fcking thing. (Especially since the one who told me I was a bad mother kept popping out babies and dumping them with her disabled mother before leaving to find a new man.) There’s a few events that teach you about who you’re hanging out with. Having a baby is one of them. I’m not even saying they were bad ppl, just immature & incredibly selfish. I have some empathy bc I didn’t even know how insane having a baby was. The insane hormones that nature smacks you upside your head with to ensure a bond. Like you go from, I just met this baby, it’s funny looking, to, I will kill anyone who looks at her sideways. Like even having other ppl hold her for to long makes you long to have your baby back. Like books don’t emphasize enough how insane that time after having a baby is. We also don’t have enough edu as a whole about the changes new parents, especially the mothers, can go through.
After suffering through some rough weddings I made sure that my wedding prioritized my guests as much as possible. I booked a venue that had amazing food made onsite and everyone said it was delicious. Also, we ate less than an hour after the ceremony so there were no starving angry guests. 😅 It was the best time ever 🥰💃🏻
My friend had a bachelorette party in 2020 ( before the craziness started)when I was close to my due date. She was super cool about me missing the trip to Austin , I had an unscheduled c-section. I even sent some money to help cover some of her food and drinks. So grateful she wasn’t a bridezilla 💕😁
The one with the bride trying to guilt the new mother to go to Vegas. The bride sounds like one of those people that would sue the family of the baby her (then) fiance saved and say it was their fault he was in a coma.
I worked for a catering staffing agency, and it's wild to hear about wedding food being bad, not enough appetizers, and apps getting cold! Most times they feed staff the leftover food while everyone is dancing, and it was a highlight of the job. Especially if there were desserts! We also worked for event planners who did not let you stand still the entire cocktail hour. You had to be circulating not-stop and were expected to go back and get a different dish if no one was taking yours. God forbid something get cold. Guest would see me coming and literally start waving me off, "No more! We have to eat dinner!" I actually loved the job, especially weddings, because pretty much all the guests were happy and in a good mood. I did work in retail previously, so that might explain my experience. I'd consider going back for extra money, but I injured my back and shoulder, so it's no longer an option.
I was thinking the same thing about the food, but maybe we worked for good catering companies and they hired subpar catering??

I can't do it anymore but I did that for years and yes, the food was the best perk of the job! And always the endless circling with trays of food, keep moving, keep moving! lol...ah memories.
I always hated wedding food and the wait so that was a priority at my wedding. The ceremony was like 10-15 min, the cocktail hour was about 15 min then 2 very short speeches (10 min top) then delicious food! One mistake I made was having it at noon in a beautiful but HOT AF garden 😂 So after we ate we all got into our swimsuits and jumped in the ocean 🌊 It was so fun!
My wedding was immediate family (and partners) only. We had the ceremony and then walked down to a pancake place for lunch. Our parents both offered to cover the meal. No speeches, no weird wedding food, just pancakes...
15:38 Who in the absolute fuck is getting $62 flights!? The cheapest one in my area is $400 at least. He got a cousin in the industry? Or is it because his dad was rich, he paid $62 on the private jet? I want to know!!
Happy new year everyone. Thank you Charlotte and her team for all the laughs through the year. I appreciate you soooo much. Let's celebrate and hope for an amazing 2024 to everyone. ♥️
I wanna take Charlotte to a classic lower-middle class wedding in the deep South. NOBODY is hungry. In fact, if you aren't rolling out of the wedding over-full and happy about it, the wedding was likely terrible.
Brilliant idea. For the 10k she pays maybe 600 to 1500 to a special fx cosutmer who makes a sillicone face prosthetic to cover it, glues it down and paints it by hand so it is perfect. Then keeps the rest.
@@justalittlealien No, she won't....receiving money to have a requested medical procedure done would not be considered "taxable income"....without checking with a tax accountant, I think it could even be reported as a gift, IMHO
We had something similar to the first story happen at my job except they did pay a deposit for something. They were originally going to get married on a certain date, but before COVID hit, they apparently ended up pushing it back to 2022 (no idea why). They had last talked to the Events Manager in 2020 just before he was let go for personal reasons, but they didn't speak to a single person until the week of the event. All they had was a receipt that they had paid their share of the deposit. No copy of an updated contract, no e-mails, nothing. We also had an Outlook calendar with confirmed dates in it, so it's not like the Events Manager couldn't put it on the calendar. Something clearly wasn't properly confirmed and the venue hall ended up being booked by someone else. Not sure what the end result was, but moral of the story: always pay your deposit, always take a copy of your contract and any updated revisions, and always check in with your venue periodically, especially if you book 2+ years out.
I absolutely love your show, I use you as my background radio noise. You are great to wake up with in the morning😊 I love the way you articulate words ,your background music, the way you edit, and topics. The way you add things you are just phenomenal at your job and thank you so much for your videos.
Always carry snacks with you! A protein option and a sweet option if you can. I have found this to be useful for too many reasons: dietary or medical restrictions/emergencies, keeping myself or others from transforming into Hangry Karens, having something I can give to homeless folks since I never carry cash, amazing small children and convincing them my purse is magic, encouraging animals to get out of the road so myself and other cars can get by. Pocket snacks are always useful.
I'm so grateful that weddings in our area are beautiful, simple and a reasonable cost. No crazy bridesmaids parties, no alcohol, no expensive gigantic meals. Just family, love and refreshments. Money like that should be spent either on the honeymoon or a house. Your wedding is one day, but marriage is your life!!
I’m not a wedding professional, but I do book event space fairly regularly for work. There are times I’ve woken up in the middle of the night wondering if I really booked that venue for the right date, and then I remember there’s no way i could contract with the other vendors working the event because they always check the venue booking before proceeding with our contract.
Good for you. I am a professional pianist /organist and have played dozens of weddings. One young girl called me to play for her wedding, and I showed up at the church for the rehearsal. The minister at the church didn't even KNOW there was a wedding booked for that weekend. He said no one had contacted him about it, and they are usually booked months in advance. Which meant the bride never made arrangements with the church. The pastor was shocked, but he would do it, because surprisingly THAT was the ONLY weekend that year that just happened to be open. But, he wasn't pleased at all, neither was I. Then, I tried to use their organ and it was locked. The pastor told me that NO one can play the organ except the organist they have, and that organist wouldn't play the wedding, at that late notice. The bride asked if we had any equipement that we could bring in.... (which we did) but it took going back home GETTING the keyboards, speakers, sound board, wires, and everything else. And, it would cost 600 dollars for this. The bride's father was LIVID....at me and my husband for charging for this, but we didn't goof up their wedding.....they did. They just didn't want to pay for it. Then.....everyone finds out that the groom couldn't make it for the rehearsal, so his buddy stood in for him, which was weird. The next day....when the wedding was taking place, thick white smoke and a horrible smell started coming into the sancutuary. Turns out, someone in the fellowship hall (where the reception was going to be,) had terribly burned the Sweedish Meatballs, and the smoke and horrid smell was going everywhere, including the sanctuary. It was nauseating, and I trying not to retch while playing the ceremony. Also, when I actually met the groom, I was shocked because he was so scary looking, and seemed like he was mad at the world, with a scowl and angry face, and demeanor. Maybe he was a nice guy, I just couldnt tell......anyway.....this was a wedding that I will never forget.
I’m so so SO happy that I paid out extra for more food at my wedding and I made sure to go for menu tasting beforehand to check the quality of the food. We had arrival drinks with canapés, then drinks and more canapés after the ceremony before the 3-course sit-down meal straight after photos then we had fish & chips and halloumi and chips served in the evening along with tonnes of cake. Every single one of our guests commented on how good the food was so moral of the story is GET GOOD FOOD AND LOTS OF IT THROUGHOUT THE DAY! Your guests will thank you for it!
😁😂😂 that series of wedding videos is hysterical! I was a wedding planner for 25+yrs. I was laughing so hard, tears were streaming down my face. It was all the joke.
I think the lessons from Charlotte's last video of the year are :- 1) Don't be a bridezilla , if people don't make it to your wedding on account of personal matters that's ok . 2) Don't ask others to make physical changes to their body so that they won't ruin your wedding photos . That they are present is enough beauty . 3) Dont give long winded speeches at weddings . Say "Wish you a happy married life and thanks for inviting me" and sit down . 4) Carry protein bars at somebody else's wedding so that you dont get hungry while others are giving their long winded speeches . 5) Call out anyone if they are being a bridezilla , even if they are family . 6) Charlotte is always gorgeous and funny , even when she is enacting a bridezilla and her mom 😊 .
To number 2, I completely agree, though I've changed and not changed my hair for weddings. My hair was in horrible shape, and very oddly 2 colours for my sister's wedding. She paid for me to have it dyed one neutral colour. And my friends, I coordinated the wedding ,asked that I refrain from shaving my head until after the wedding. But both were superficial requests, and really the only thing they asked of me.
My SIL didn’t come to our wedding due to circumstances mostly under her own control. At the time I think I was mildly annoyed but I knew she felt bad about it and the feeling passed. Once we we all living in the same city, we had problems getting along for several years. After we worked things out, she mentioned she thought I had been mad at her because she hadn’t come to our wedding-😱 wait, what!? you weren’t there? I had actually forgotten🤣. We have a collage of wedding pictures hanging up so I could see she hadn’t been a bridesmaid but I think that in my memory she had made it to the wedding as a guest.
Fun fact about the $10,000 Venmo payment (which I'm assuming took place in the U.S.): If tagged as a "goods and services payment" by the sender, the recipient is liable for backup witholding and it is reported as >$600 in income to the IRS, regardless of whether the payment is accepted or not...if taxed at ~20%, she now owes the IRS $2000 of the "income" 😬
So glad this Administration "fixed" the gig economy! Pay your fair share! Said no one ever...well maybe not no one, politicians maybe. There are going to be some very surprised people this April when they get a 1099 in the mail this year...
@@gaminglowlights1941 the 1% are so determined to dodge paying appropriately that they get their lobbyists to convince the politicians that it's the little guys rather than them holding everything back with their greed
I don't think she "owes" the IRS anything. If it's mis-reported then she may have to get it corrected but for an amount that large it's worth the hassle. IANAL but it looks like a gift to me which is not taxable to the recipient.
I'm just happy mr,fireman/groom met someone great afterwards and had two sets of twins! That's worth a celebration at least! A great man with a beautiful family!!🎉❤
That bridesmaid story about the maid with the newborn baby was the sweetest most heart-warming thing I've ever heard. This could never happen to me. Im always the 1st friend they run to when they need something like a babysitter, money, help painting their house, planning their kids parties, etc. But I was always last person thought of when the invites were going out to fun things/events/vacations. I'm fun. I can definitely tie one on and bring the smoking "party favors" too. I am the too-nice, easy to ignore one because I never start any drama and am a mom. But this, ignore Candace thing has been going on my whole life.
Start making new friends don't be a pushover learn the say no it's ok with no explanation people love to take advantage of sweet genuine people set boundaries beautiful!
Yo Candace, we probably don't even live anywhere near eachother but this makes me want to become acquaintances and maybe friends because this is awful. You sound great. Hopefully you can find new friends to chill, smoke and bond with
Oh honey I hear you ….much love for the person everyone depends apron and expects will rise to the occasion. The day I said no no not again I got screamed at by multiple people … welll we just you would do this ….yeah but my big major double digit birthday…nobody did a thing ..not a card nothing ….im done being nice
For the wedding food thing, we had amazing catering and buffet style at our wedding. Everyone loved the food and got as much as they wanted 👌 and we ate right away and did speeches while people were eating. Best day ever!
LOL! Great reaction and love the commentary. Team Table 19 all the way! The wait for all the stages of the wedding are the worst, when it is unorganized. I have planned many different sized events and know event planning. I hate seeing the lag in planning from the ceremony to reception to dinner to goodbyes without a clear direction. LOL!
Yes! One wedding I went to had the ceremony at 1:30 (took less than 30 min) reception didn’t start until 5 and bride had strict orders that no hors d’oeuvres, alcohol or drinks were to be served until she and the groom arrived (almost an hour late!). Dinner wasn’t served until after 8pm! I’ve never been such a shit show wedding
The wedding food in my hometown was always bomb! Usually served writing the 1st hour at the reception, rarely were there cocktail hours, and only the family and wedding party would stay for that.
Good Morning Petty Potatoes! ❤ Happy New Year everyone! Ooooo This is Different 😮 I love that story of the bridesmaid with a newborn! That was a chef's kiss ending! 👩🍳💋👶
At my wedding, any speeches were given after each table served themselves (we had a buffet brunch). The moment everyone arrived at the venue, we started the proceedings right away. Guests grabbed a drink of their choice while the wedding table got their food. The time between arriving and guests getting their food was no longer than 20 minutes. Fun (and food) was enjoyed by all. That was 25 years ago, and yup we are still married!
Is this not normal for speeches in America? I'm in the UK and every single wedding I've been to, speeches were during or after dessert. Everyone gets a glass of champagne, speeches and toasts are done when everyone's too full to want to move anyway, and then everyone goes to the bar or to relax somewhere while the room is flipped for evening dancing (assuming you're not fancy and don't have separate rooms!)
THE BEST party I have EVER been to was my Nephew's wedding a couple of years ago. He had the privilege to marry The One for him, The Love Of His Life. I am SO PROUD of both of them! The wedding and reception were both held at the same (decently local) venue so only a few people had to do any real travelling (they REALLY WANTED to be there and they had to travel multiple States distance to be there but they are able to afford it). The whole thing was held around Halloween (no, not ON Halloween, just near it so nobody will forget the anniversary). So of course it was a 'Costume Optional' party and some really awesome cosplays showed up. There was an MC who doubled as DJ, there was dancing, there were games, obviously there was a Costume contest for all the kids involved. There must have been about a hundred people there. All of the food was brought by everybody who showed up, most of it home-made-with-love (it was all GREAT because my family and the in-laws actually do know how to throw a decent barbecue). The ceremony was officiated by the parent of my nephew, my older sibling (who was slightly angry that they got roped into being the officient...lol). Tears were shed (happy tears) but there was WAY more laughter and above all, FUN. It was amazing. I thought my own wedding had gone really well several years prior but my Nephew really took the best of what happened at mine and ran with it, plus what my new In-Law's family could come up with. It was truly amazing. I have not been to any event like it since and if that is the last big party I ever attend, I will be happy with that. I will treasure the memory forever. It was seriously SO cool! :)
When my daughter got married, at the reception, everyone got served their meal and they had the speeches after everyone was back at their tables eating. I thought that was a great idea, and it actually seemed to make the speeches shorter.
Thank the gods my wife was not a bridezilla. We had just under 4 years to plan our wedding (decided to wait until we were done with college), so we got everything booked waaaaaayyyyyy in advance. We had deposits paid and contracts signed well in advance. We bought things we would need (decorations, centerpieces, costume pieces, etc.) as they went on sale so our total wedding came in under $3,000 (excluding airfare to get us to there, but the airfare round trip including our honeymoon was a little over $800). The reception hall has been used by her family so many times over the years they gave us a discount, plus the food was delicious (Italian style buffet). It was beautiful, everyone had a great time and we had other weddings complementing our Lord of the Rings / Mediaeval costumes (we did a theme wedding because why not).
At my wedding I wanted ZERO people to go hungry waiting on my post-ceremony photos, so the buffet was opened immediately after the ceremony. I will say this kinda backfired because a lot of people left immediately after they ate ;( maybe I should have done a really really hardy cocktail hour instead? At that point the budget was really tight so in the moment it was hard to justify. Guests were kinda surprised at the wedding we did it that way but I did not want anyone to be hungry!!
I honestly enjoyed the role-play a lot more than just listening although I do enjoy listening to you. It kept me engaged, I know it's more effort so I hope you enjoyed making it yourself :) Happy new year!

The roleplay was *chef’s kiss*. Also, I just can’t understand people who think it’s okay to ask others to change their bodies just because of wedding pictures. The audacity!
Have they never heard of photo shop? 😂
I really hope Charlotte does that again in the future. It was so much fun.

Just gave birth to my own daughter, at 5 days postpartum taking a shower was about all the excitement I wanted or needed. That bride.. unbelievable.
I was still in the hospital five days after my first... Lol
Shes also the kind of person that if she ever has a child will be mad that the baby shower gifts are for the baby and not for her
It's been decades since my last baby and yes.
No-one is partying after giving birth.
Partying when you have trouble walking, a baby wanting to nurse every 45min, and are bleeding like a super heavy mega period... so much fun...
she can be traumatized but what she said... its a nogo who said this about a baby ?
I feel bad for the Groom in a coma who risked his life to save a baby only to have his own bride to be describe a baby as "baggage" and gaslight someone into going to Vegas.
True, but things worked out for him too! 😊
Me too. But hey, better 5 years wasted than 50 years wasted and besides, he got a beautiful family with a new loving wife and 4 adorable children in exchange. 😊 So things worked out well for him in the end. ❤
Period
Oh that’s so wholesome and cute 🥹
Your very lucky, please treasure that friendship always. I would love to have a friend in life like that. 😊
Bro this comment brought tears to my eyes. You are so loved
Had to miss a close friends wedding because I was 38 weeks pregnant. The day of their wedding the bride and groom came by, cooked me lunch, and just pampered me since I couldn’t really leave the house. I cried and tried to give them a gift but they turned around and gave my husband and i $500 because “we have everything we need, you have a little one”
I, of course, did the same thing when she got pregnant with their first.
This is actually really sweet, and it kind of made me tear up.❤
Love love love this!!! ❤❤❤
That's amazing. What an incredible couple! Aww I love that friendship for you!
These are the friends all decent, kind, humble ppl deserve. I'm sure you earned them. ❤
that there are some great friends! I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant and now crying over how sweet and caring your friends are 😭🥹
My bachelorette party was literally just me, my bridesmaids and my mom watching romcoms. We ordered pizza, did each other's make up and played board games. Best party I ever had ❤
I know right! It's simple things in life and the people who make best memories!
You had me at pizza
In France, it's not legal if it isn't a city hall wedding with the mayor as your officiant, so yep !
Lmfao, when she said "a short 5 hours" I laughed my ass off. Glad she was saying it in gest.
You didn't do it on purpose, but thank you for the laugh. Ingest means take something by mouth, in jest means in a joking matter. Still, accidental hilarity 😂
Heck, on a normal day breakfast and lunch is like 5 hours apart if you have breakfast from 6 to 7 and lunch is usually between 11 and 1...lol
@@jewels2799Topical pun. But yeah, it was a nice lil satire.
Right? I was about to lose my mind.
Them bridesmaids who ditched the witch and supported the new mom are humanity at its best. Beautiful story amongst some prickly ones.
I am glad the firefighter got a normal wife after the first one, especially after saving a human that his " first bride" called so easily baggage.
Me too
He dodged a bullet

There was (and still is, I think) a trend of fictional stories masquerading as TikTok drama. Sometimes it was just two actors, but most of the time, it involved a group of friends. I suspect the Wedding back and forth was one of those "dramas."
Yeah, no way that's real.
I think so too.
I think I would have just left the wedding... I mean who on earth wants to sit and do nothing for 4 hours?
I was just about to post! Pigs in a blanket and "little biscuits" is not enough to sustain adults (who are likely drinking) all day until dinner
What time did the reception friggin start like 10 pm 😂 got DAMN
@naylas3908 my bestie (hired photographer the whole day) did pics FIRST, which is HELLA smart.
1. First look that's perfect for you and spouse with minimal crying because they can get the bride before the mascara turns into the black Nile all down your face lol

Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉
Thank you so much for saying this and happy retirement!!!
She squealed so loud for the bridesmaids showing up for the baby that I got an ad 💀
If I were at a wedding and had to wait 5 hours between cocktail hour and dinner, I probably would have left to try to find food.
I've never in my life spent 5 hours at a wedding. Not even my own, lol.
Check the bushes. Lol
Or Door dash!
Double hugs to the rogue bridesmaids. What a blessing to know who your friends are.
Love the rogue bridesmaids
Ironically, this sounds like the sort of lovely event that should have been longer. X
I love the song request idea!
@@lauraf4202I was thinking the same!
How lovely and thoughtful of you ❤
Omg as a Cubana I love that you had Cuban food. If I'm ever blessed with a wonderful person I would def serve Cuban food at our wedding.
God, after I gave birth to my son, I bled heavily for 2 weeks, then another 4 weeks of light bleeding. Partying would have been a definite NO
Yes, no one told me about the bleeding afterwards! I didn’t expect it, especially after a cesarean but it was awful and compounded by the fact that I have a bleeding disorder. New moms take 4-6 weeks recovery for a reason.
@@krystal6137 I remember it well. it was the "present" that kept on giving.

We ate first then drank and danced and had speeches. It was great!
@@TsundeRea that sounds lovely
I feel like it would be soooooooo much more stressful to be a bridezilla than it would be to just be a nice person and have fun with the whole experience. It is supposed to be one of the happiest times of your life, after all.
True dat but to be brutally honest here this is not Disney world where everything and everyone goes smoothly.
Life can and will sometimes throw a wrench 🔧🛠️ in the works so don't assume said Bride and/or groom will be all sunshine and unicorn 🦄 cause in reality things happen so deal with it or go home 🏠🏡 6:26
I checked on my venue so many times before my wedding.
Some people are addicted to stress and chaos.
It can get pretty stressful planning a wedding. It seems like everyone has a strong opinion about what should happen. All I cared about was tying my life to my husband’s.
I wound up outsourcing. 🤣
You have opinions about the food (my mom)? Here’s the caterer’s number. They have the budget.
You care about what we use to serve the cake (my husband)? Here’s the place where you can buy an engraved cake server.
You care about the flowers (my mom)? Here’s the florist, budget and what I’m allergic to.
Rehearsal dinner? Have fun, in-laws. Tell me when/where to be and who I’m inviting, and I will be there thankful and with a huge smile on my face.
We’ve been married 24 years, and I still go with a ‘if you care so much, have at it’ philosophy. 🤣
@MrsWheezer I love this!! Absolutely perfect!!! 💯☺️
They wouldn't want embarrassing footage out there😂
Edit: had to change the amount I had written 40K rather than 20K. Reason is still funny
lol I’ll take that over some other weddings I went to
A $20,000 wedding should have wristbands for the drinkers with their name printed on it & a dedicated person to check ids and actually put the wristband on the guest😱. I can’t imagine that won’t catch up with that facility eventually.
That's why people don't want kids at a wedding. Parents don't watch them.
That's less than the average cost of a wedding in the UK. Were you saying it was a trashy cheap wedding, or an expensive one?
Keep the money and ditch the friend lol 3:41
14:33 lol I love this I think it's an inside joke and they are playing us lol
As someone who lives a decent way from Bayonne... Hearing someone call that a "destination wedding" is killing me 😂

Our wedding was a destination wedding in that the groom and I lived out of the contiguous 48 on two separate continents. If my inlaws hadn’t moved we would have flown my family to their location; we ended up having it in my home town because in involved flying the fewest amount of people and my family could do all the legwork.
It looks heavily industrial.

Wasn’t expecting the role play for the first story, Charlotte! What a treat! 🤣🤣❤️❤️ Happy New Years Eve, Petty Potatoes 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Omg sounds like the bridesmaids who showed up for Mom and baby are the sweetest
I feel for that mother so hard. I literally ended up cutting off all my friends after I had a baby. I was like, I had a baby a week ago, no I’m not leaving her with my mom and going out drinking all night. Like I got the confusion bc I was The party girl before getting pregnant, but confusion and some disappointment is one thing. Calling me a buzzkill, boring, a bad friend; telling me I’ve changed and it’s not like I’m even a good mother, that’s a whole other fcking thing. (Especially since the one who told me I was a bad mother kept popping out babies and dumping them with her disabled mother before leaving to find a new man.)
There’s a few events that teach you about who you’re hanging out with.
THAT'S how it's done!
If Table 19 happened at my wedding I would be laughing the rest of the night 😂
The last few bits is precisely what I love about the internet.
We have to eat dinner!"
I actually loved the job, especially weddings, because pretty much all the guests were happy and in a good mood.
One mistake I made was having it at noon in a beautiful but HOT AF garden 😂
So after we ate we all got into our swimsuits and jumped in the ocean 🌊
It was so fun!
Did almost exactly the same for my wedding!
My wedding was immediate family (and partners) only. We had the ceremony and then walked down to a pancake place for lunch. Our parents both offered to cover the meal. No speeches, no weird wedding food, just pancakes...
Sounds like a lotta fun. One a lot of people are I’ll always remember

I wanna take Charlotte to a classic lower-middle class wedding in the deep South. NOBODY is hungry. In fact, if you aren't rolling out of the wedding over-full and happy about it, the wedding was likely terrible.
The girl with the mole TAKES the $10K, and has a cover glued over the mole for the wedding! Then after, she has the cover removed!
Brilliant idea. For the 10k she pays maybe 600 to 1500 to a special fx cosutmer who makes a sillicone face prosthetic to cover it, glues it down and paints it by hand so it is perfect. Then keeps the rest.
Yes! This is exactly what I was thinking. Just cover it professionally for the event.
Yes especially because if she's american she'll get taxed on that money

I always keep some fruit bars in my car. Mostly for not being forced to drive while being really badly hungry, as that can be downright dangerous. 🙈
I think you might be a genius.
8:48 this story... that girl just gained all of them as bffs. How awesome.
I’m sure they check for their own benefit but is really helpful for you as well🙂
Good for you.
Maybe he was a nice guy, I just couldnt tell......anyway.....this was a wedding that
I will never forget.
To be quite honest, your “What did I just watch?!? I love it!!” Reaction was exactly how I felt when I saw one of your videos the first time 😂😍
😁😂😂 that series of wedding videos is hysterical! I was a wedding planner for 25+yrs. I was laughing so hard, tears were streaming down my face. It was all the joke.
I think the lessons from Charlotte's last video of the year are :-
1) Don't be a bridezilla , if people don't make it to your wedding on account of personal matters that's ok .
Yep. That about sums it up, and I agree with ALL of those lessons. ❤
I loved it when Charlotte played the bride and mother of the bride ...I have ALWAYS taken a protein bar to weddings. I've done it for years 😅

LOL!
I hate when they keep the guests waiting while they take ENDLESS photos.

"BITCHELORETTE!" LMAO! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I LOVED THAT ONE!
The wedding food in my hometown was always bomb! Usually served writing the 1st hour at the reception, rarely were there cocktail hours, and only the family and wedding party would stay for that.
Good Morning Petty Potatoes! ❤ Happy New Year everyone!
Ooooo This is Different 😮
I love that story of the bridesmaid with a newborn! That was a chef's kiss ending! 👩🍳💋👶
Good morning!😊
Good morning!! ❤❤
Good morning 😊
@@Sbarali777No thanks, Happy New Year!
good morning!!! ignore that imposter, I am the real Yeni

3:24 keep the money and have fun 😂
That last one was a wild ride, like I wouldn’t be surprised if it was real but I still would be surprised if it was real 😂😅
3:26 "No, not enough but thank you anyway!" :)
11:20 this is a skit/sarcasm. It's complete satire.

Was not expecting that
I honestly enjoyed the role-play a lot more than just listening although I do enjoy listening to you. It kept me engaged, I know it's more effort so I hope you enjoyed making it yourself :) Happy new year!
