      thats what i was about to say - what is with these consultants constantly picking dresses either without checking the price first or just railroading them thru to have them try on? thats kind of rude and disrespectful - especially to say "its not that much over" - to me $1200 is a freaking lot and could make or break some people

      At this stage in time, if your budget is $3500, Kleinfeld's is not the store you should be shopping in. Yes, I think $3500 is a lot to pay for a dress, but I also know that their dresses start at around $2500, so you are not looking at a huge selection of their 1500 gowns at her budget.

    • @NH-tb2sm
      @NH-tb2sm 2 місяці тому +29

      @@reneeeiier4818 I agree that Kleinfeld's is not the place to shop if your budget is less than 5k but tell the customer you don't have anything in her budget or ask if it's ok to go over budget, you don't go over half the budget and say it's a bit over budget. A bit over budget is a few hundred dollars not half the budget.

    How absurd that she capped the "budget" at $3500 - since her military mom was paying for it - to then put her in a dress that costs $4700 (without alterations). When the bride asks... how much... Sara suddenly has to grab the price tag and say - "oh it's a little over... not like ridiculously over..." Come on! $1200 over (again, without alterations) is a LOT over. This was unprofessional and greedy.

      She is Muslim, converted for her fiancée, so she probably wore it as a show of modesty. But I’m stumped as to why she chose such a revealing dress after saying she wouldn’t choose something too tight, or revealing, etc. She chose a dress with a bit of a plunge, reveals her back, with a bow that emphasizes her bust and her waist, and it’s form-fitting almost all the way down. Beautiful dress…but not sure her fiancée or his family will like it, because they like their females to dress very modestly, especially if they’re a faithful and practicing member of Islam.

    My question… I don’t think it matters what mom, aunt or anyone else should push their opinion what the bride would wear. This is the brides dress. Yes, others should be there to support the brides choice. I just went wedding dress shopping with my granddaughter. When she walked out and said, “ oooh, I love this”… with the 1st dress so that settled it and I said, “you look beautiful”! Not my favorite dress, but her smile melted my heart.

    Says "nothing to revealing etc etc etc" out of respect for his family. Then chooses the last dress. Which was gorgeous on her. It just seemed that the "revealing" part went out the window before she even started, as did the budget. Which the consultant shouldn't have pulled it to begin with and I'm sure there was just as nice of a dress in a similar style that wasn't an overpriced panina.... Respect the budget ladies it's there for a reason. It's one day vs the rest of your life, the latter is where the focus should be when it comes to finances....

Do you think her mother would be glad to think her daughter didn't miss her at all or care whether she was there for her milestones? Just because they were both rather she was there for them doesn't mean they are having a tantrum about it, but they are allowed to be a bit wistful. Time DOES go so fast.
