Ah goldenaxe... one of the best games ever made in my opinion. Our dentist we saw as kids had a small arcade in the waiting room. He had a few games tucked into a room behind a closet, for older kids only. Golden axe was back there. I remember for yrs id pull back the curtain and watch. Then finally my mom let me play it with my brother. Eventually we stopped going there and i almost forgot about it, til i got one of those plug and play genesis consoles. Then all those memories flooded back into my brain, and i played the hell out of it. Now i own a complete copy, and i play it whenever i want.

The brightness shortkey and gameswitcher and the way itll save all your games without you having to think about it means you stop using the save state to cheat and brings it all together for a very decent pocket console.
I've been meaning to try Legend of the River King someday. I'll have to give that a play through soon! Thanks for the recommendation. I do love a good fishing game.
Megaman Battle Network, Advance Wars, Donkey Kong, Super Mario World, Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot etc etc etc. The real good ones are missing.

I have lots to try eventually for sure! Mostly I play my "personal favourites" on my mini and most of those are from my childhood (of which mostly sega titles since I never had Nintendo or Sony consoles growing up).
Sega Genesis and Dreamcast were my personal favourites yep. There were so many overlooked games on those two systems since they weren't as popular as Nintendo or Sony. I generally enjoy those "underrated titles" more than the mainstream ones for sure either way.
I loved Sonic Spinball, the pacing is kinda sluggish, but that was there with the original. To me Sonic Spinball was a distinct and perhaps even needed diversion. Its cannon to me
It all depends, all from Dr Mario and tetris, you know games that is repeatable that you can play while waiting on the train. I do enjoy playing JRPG games like Final Fantasy as they are visually pleasing (PlayStation versions) and look great on that screen.
Miyoo definitely picked an incredible screen for showing off those JRPGs. Quick pick up and play games are really nice to have on the Mini and it definitely shines playing those titles. Thanks for the recommendations! Never been big into mainstream titles much but some of the older final fantasy titles are something I should try at some point.

I wouldn't rely on the preloaded systems for having playable games, most of them are terrible unknown titles or ones you wouldn't want to play anyways. It's always best to provide your own.

I played Gunstar Heroes on a CRT with an original MegaDrive & find it very tough - if you can get to the final level, then input lag must be pretty good because its a pretty tritchy game. Jurassic Park I finished, but love that game, but I am pretty sure the original has similar lagging. I finally ordered a MISTer + portable monitor & that is gonna be my preferred option for emulation, but - it still will require a few min to setup and an outlet, but this - at this price, seems like a must-have, I cant believe how far technology has come, - I would love to know if its possible to get all the chaos emerald in all the 2D sonics because those are a real test for lag, but watching Gunstar Heroes gives me a lot of confidence. - thx for the vid.
