FFX is a great recommendation. I'd also recommend X-2. Even though X-2 is, of course, nowhere near as good, it's a fun lighthearted follow up that captures the carefree nature of summer as well.
Nothing like a Boat Racing of PS1 games like HYDRO THUNDER and RAPID RACER. Just the Tech Demo of Manta playing in the background is a good Summer Vibe. Tekken 3 Beach Ball. Total Overdose is a summer time in Mexico. Hell i had a great Vacation in Resident Evil 4 - that is Remake - in PSVR2. back to track, I have this good feeling when I remember Populous 3 on PC, Each time my dad would bring another Sims 1 Expansion was celebration. Heroes of Might & Magic 3 was great every summer. Jagged Alliance 2 is the best game ever made in the history of the universe, and that too is a great vacation in Central America's fictional country. Stronghold: Crusader was a great summer game to hide from the heat outside. Hell, having a gaming magazine is really enough to have a great summer sometimes. there's a lot more games i could remember but I'll it here for now. Edit: oh yeah Serious Sam: The Second Encounter was a fantastic summer time and also Diablo 2 was great, even though some of the environments don't fit that much. a lot of time was spent in a video game called Hotel Giant, to meticulously build a hotel but past that me and my friend didn't know how to start the game. My friend and his mom made a fantastic hotel.
I can see you have plenty of great summer time gaming memories under your belt, I love that! Serious Sam is definitely one that I should’ve remembered, I used to play that all the time with my dad! Love these suggestions though, thank you my friend 🌞
@@Vynsent GREAT game man. Try to play on original hardware (if possible.) I'd add Hydro Thunder (Dreamcast version) to this list as well. Great video!
I remember seeing that on my friend's TV and telling myself we've reached the peak and graphics are never going to look more real. I was amazed by the water graphics on it and that was my first time seeing anything 3D besides something like Star Fox on a console.
Good picks! Ones you missed, hmm... people remember Sonic Adventure, but also Sonic racing always has beach levels (Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and sequel, Transformed, are good), Crash Bandicoot has N. Sanity Beach and overall mood of hanging around Australia in beachwear, so does Mario Kart so kart racers in general fit the mood of "summer games".
6:04 The taxis have different stats. Axel's has all-average stats, B.D.Joe's has great top speed, but poor handling. Gena's has great acceleration, but not-so-good handling. Gus' has poor top speed, but makes up for having excellent handling.
I've been absolutely obsessed with the summer vibes of FFX and Chrono Cross, and now I am kinda interested in trying out Crazy Taxi since I never actually tied it.
Crazy Taxi is one of those games where you can pick up and play it for 5 minutes, and it also is EVERYWHERE, on Steam, PSN, XBLA, but Crazy Taxi 2 does need an emulator.
Just started FFX on your recommendation and I am absolutely loving it. The game's environment is just so beautiful and I love the summer/beach vibes which it gives me 😁
Aweasome video man! I would like to mention some recommendations on my part to add to the list: - Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 - Jak and Daxter - Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 1, 2 and 3 - Kingdom Hearts (the world of Destiny Islands just fits perfectly with the topic of this video) - GTA San Andreas - Sonic Mania - Asterix and Obelix XXL
Ooo Ty the Tasmanian is one that I had forgotten all about! And I definitely agree with Destiny Island on KH, I’ve been playing it again recently and it definitely inspired me in making this video 😁 Also thank you for watching 🥹🌹
Nice video. I'd also recommend The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Jak and Daxter: The Precursors' Legacy, Chrono Cross and Kingdom Hearts 1.
To me these games are great for winter time to appreciate the different season. Even tho I prefer winter in real life. 😂 Love the vids bro I have my homies watching your videos now
Very true! I do love me some winter time as well, unfortunately we don’t get much of one here in Florida 😅 Thank you so much though! That level of support means the world to me and I’m glad you guys are enjoying 😁
I'm sorry, but starting from May the 4th, it's Star Wars month, so I'll be playing the KOTOR games again for like the 10th time now, lol. But from June onwards, I sure will replay GTA Vice City and Final Fantasy X too. And some other games that I consider summer games would be Far Cry 1, Far Cry 3, Dead Island Riptide and Crysis 1. I mean come on, the most iconic thing about those games is their tropical island setting. GTA San Andreas and GTA V are also kinda summer themed, but not as strongly as Vice City though.
These are great picks! The game (more like the stage) that always reminds me of summer is Dire, Dire Docks in SM64. That incredible theme along with the whole stage being set in water just gives me those summer time vibes.
You mentioned GTA Vice City having "offensive" humor as it was "before cancel culture", but the very next GTA San Andreas was heavily canceled by conservatives because of Hot Coffee mod, it was one of the biggest scandals in gaming period, forcing the devs to patch it to block mods and avoid getting Adult Only rating... also how is GTA humor offensive? It's just ordinary satire.
I don’t find it offensive personally, I’m just saying it was humor that probably wouldn’t be appreciated as much nowadays! I love the early GTA humor, they didn’t spare anyone when it came to the satire 😁
It feels strange that I got Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 but the price was higher. It never came out to the west due to cultural differences but it had more characters to play as. I will be playing it more at the summer and it’s available not just on PlayStation (PS4, Vita) but also on a Nintendo console too (Switch).
@@Vynsent yes mainly because you share your name with the movie's villan, if you like action movies it's fantastic but If I recall you like horror films
If i had to add games to this list i would add Sonic Adventure and Persona 3 fes! Persona 3 mainly because its entire color scheme is blue and i associate summer with that color
@@Vynsent Your editing is stellar! Reminds me of older early 2000s shows that feature game bits. It doesn’t have a lot of fluff, but every bit is so deep and gets the wonders of gaming (and really life) across wonderful. I definitely agree! It’s for sure one of the most visually stunning FF games without a doubt 😁
personally, late 90's/early 2000's SEGA perfectly represents this summer vibe
I agree! Especially games like Ecco, and Sonic!
Saw the title and knew FFX was coming. My all time favorite Final Fantasy
Another great video man!
Probably my favorite as well! Such an amazing game 😁 Very glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching ❤️
Great vid. It really took me back. Id put sonic adventure and no more heroes on the list. Also jet set radio.
All great games, but you’re especially right about Sonic Adventure! I can’t believe I let that slip my mind 🥲

Outrun 2 is also a fitting game for the summer! Great video btw 👍
Ooo that’s a good one! You’re not lying 😁 Very glad that you enjoyed!
Great list!! Tbh the Dreamcast in general just gives such "blue sky" summer Sega vibes that the entire library feels summery to me LOL
I definitely agree! They’ve got that whole aesthetic on lock 😁
Sonic Adventure starts on the beach, Virtua Fighter games have beach zones, Shenmue too, only thing Dreamcast needs is Outrun.)
another banger! i personally would add wave race 64 as a honorary mention
Oooo I’ve never played! After looking it up, it’s time I change that 😁
@@Vynsent GREAT game man. Try to play on original hardware (if possible.) I'd add Hydro Thunder (Dreamcast version) to this list as well. Great video!

I stand corrected! I was just assuming because I couldn’t see the stats 😂 Thank you!
California Games was a classic from my childhood. I couldn’t afford a console back then but looking over someone’s shoulder it looked amazing.

Ffxiv has a lot of similarities to ffx in look, at least in a few areas. Thats DEFINITELY going to continue with the next major expansion dawntrail.
That expansion looks great! I’m hoping to jump back in eventually, it’s just hard to find the time to play 😅
Tremendous as usual. Summer reminds me of riding bikes and mild mischief.
Same here 😂 The bikes were always a staple in summer time! Glad you enjoyed my friend 😁
Aand another banger video delivered, nice work! Honestly I would add also Tekken 4 and Sonic Adventure on the list, but even tho great picks 👍🏻
