usually the mid grizzly bass gives the best image
if you use ozone imager frequently, ull notice
Put a smile on my face :)
Dude that’s so cool… heart vibes for real
I really appreciate you sharing these tips, Ahee. I always incorporate something new, that I've learned from you, in my tracks. Thanks and much love!
Yeah man your tutorials are always A+. Idk if you remember but you actually stayed at my house once a couple years back in Santa Rosa, I'm Ripley's old roommate.
Been following ya ever since! The knowledge you drop is immense! Big ups.
This is exactly what I needed, thank you dude. I’m about to order your magic racks for this.
I’ve watched this so many times and washing dishes with a hammer always gets me. The content in this tutorial is super insightful from beginning to end. MUST WATCH NUMEROUS TIMES!

Alien Mid/Side!!! Let’s go!!!!!!!
Dude the thing I love about this tutorial the most, is the fact you're showing that EQ's are musical tools not just technical, they can be dynamic expressive tools and not just a static aspect of a sound. Big ups my dude! As always. Great stuff :)
Such a powerful technique
Very informative! You the man Ahee!
This was very eye-opening and helpful! Thanks for sharing!

AHEE, this is amazing content. In the last 6 years of producing your videos made such a more significant improvement in the last year than I have made in the last 5. Thanks man!

Thank you🙏
Lately I have been experimenting with stereo enhancements and effects using a mid side matrix with my modular. With certain filters or when applying subtle modulation, it can sound really nice.
great reminder on limiting the side content of instruments outside of the drop- I always forget to use that little trick :)
Appreciate the tips...
Yo thanks man!
I've been analyzing a lot of big tracks and there's way more side information in the sub frequencies than I would have expected based on all of the "high pass the sides to remove the subs in the side channels" advise. Since I've stopped doing that on my master channel I've found that the tracks have a lot more weight to the bottom end. If the big guys can have some stereo on the subs then it should be okay. In that melodic part of the skrillex track where you say there's no sub bass in the side you can obviously hear there is... you need to isolate the subs AND solo the sides to hear it. It's not a ton but that sub bass still is in the sides and makes a difference.
Love me some mixing videos 🥵
The Magic racks are A+! I got volume 1 and the addon! I use atleast 3-5 if not more of your racks in a majority of my tracks now these days! Gonna grab that volume 2 here soon! I love your videos! So many great videos! You, Mr Bill, and Ill Gates are my favorite! Can I send you the tracks that I've been working on?
7:35 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The heart!!
I love M/S
thanks for the tips! One question - why use ozone imager to mono sub freqs instead of using mono sub feature on utility?
Cause I’m in 9 not 10, I prefer 9, much faster
@@OfficialAHEE 😨but... but.... automation! Groups in groups!
@@OfficialAHEE how is 9 faster? I’m super curious
Man you're such a good teacher. Thank you!
I don't understand what the bar on the bottom of SPAN does (at 11:02) could someone please explain to me?
It basically measures how well your song will translate to a mono system. If the bar is free and to the right it signifies that your track will translate well in mono. If it’s more to the left then your track will most likely phase out and not sound good in mono systems.
All the way to the right is mono, center to right is stereo, left of center is out of phase. Phase isn’t bad per say, just need to be aware of it for mono compatibility.
Got It, thank you!
His rack tools are legit af
Growing up mids was something you never wanted 😅
I use the special dawn hammer, it’s got the magic touch. Every time I use it a brand new plate shows up in the cupboard
Thanks for the killer video, Ahee! I have one question, for the example at 6:00, what is the difference between cutting the sides out of the sub, and using a utility set to bass mono?
i had the same question, what's the point in mid siding low end if you can mono the low end with utility? i think they both have the same result. also, he shows later in the video that he is just making everything under 140hz mono with ozone imager anyways.
different ways to fry an egg
Please create some racks for logic pro x
Aye
How you made sidechain ?
dam what snare is that at 11:50
Its a heart! Hahahahahahahahhaa
2Bd!! ;P
So Cool i have into one day really full make it by Songs you are Welcome all tunes now much better by my Track More power and Sound !
With the EQ, you say “ducking” instead of “cutting.” Isn’t ducking a sidechain term?
this video slaps ass
firrre
Normalize using a hammer for washing dishes 😤
good video but the app at the bottom that kept bouncing up was distracting me af
