    If there are people that work in FL that cant afford a mid/side eq, in Patcher you can split the signal with the Stereo seperator (preset mid to side) and you can rout that to two instances of parametic eq 2. That way you have a mid eq and a sidr eq.

    Midside eq is working very nicely with electric guitars in genres like Metal or rock. When guitars are panned left/ right to create a wall of guitars; doing a midside eq then can help to avoid some muddy frequencies of those panned guitars without affecting the instruments in the middle.

While i didn't believe it was so relevant, i tested a kick drum, cloned it, reversed the polarity and played them both at once at c5.... You know what happened? As always amazing work , please keep making the videos for some mixing process tiny problem which a beginner/intermediate level producer won't know like resonance removal,mid-side EQ , stereo enhancement and many things which an audio engineer / mixing engineer hear and fix ...cause the mixing is 80-90% work while mastering at last enhances those issues which end up sounding bad so please sir I request you to make videos on such topics !!!

    around 9min, the real crux is the subtlety of cutting/boosting in little increments. I like you said for sake of the video, you did more than usual to augment. I discover that most of the time I dont need mid/side, because the flatness or stereo field is better sounding to my ears. Then again, Im still a novice at mixing.

    Dan Worrall has some fantastic videos on the topic but I'm sure I'm in the majority in being uncertain and experiencing counter-intuitive results during different scenarios (mixing/mastering, and also when using fabfilter in long midi-instrument fx/shaping chains)

      @nickloss2377 2 роки тому

      "Hi. And welcome back." I find it funny that Dan starts every video with that line. In one of his earlier videos, he expressed a profound confusion at actually having gained more subs after posting his previous video-- since it was more or less him venting about improper techniques being shared by UA-camrs with huge channels.
      He seemed to be having an existential dilemma in whether he wanted to take on the responsibility of becoming a defacto teacher/mentor/role model for others.. personally, I like how jaded and blunt he is when talking about some of the silly practices being used in contemporary productions and the passive-aggressive arguments he gets in with his colleagues. Also the fact that he is so vehemently against doing a face-reveal only adds to the quirkiness of his personality
