So maybe she is with a very wealthy man, and doesn't need any of her old life now. If you could find out if the house is in court, sold or eviction, that would smash the assuming huh! Speculations! I'd rather know!! Great content #Dave!

Many people have visited this lost place. Two individuals from Germany in 2014 and some other French or Belgian people from 2012 also visited this place. I don't know where these videos are located anymore; however, the place was in better condition.
Everyone has a different story about this place, and I will explain it to you as the German guys who videotaped it in 2014 explained it in a much better way as there were more things in this house at the time.
There are many rumours; however, financial problems and tax evasion were an issue, as this was not the only property this man owned. There was another letter there that was translated, explaining the situation of the Japanese woman and her parents disliking the professor.
The home has been empty since 1994, maybe even a bit earlier, but some of the rumours are completely rong. The woman was supposed to marry a wealthy Japanese businessman, but she left them at the altar, disgracing her family. This happened in 1989.
Now the Japanese woman was 26 years younger than her French husband; supposedly, the husband passed away, leaving this poor Japanese woman with two children with a huge tax bill and pretty much homeless, as the professor had other children in France who tried to collect his money.
Now, believe it or not, the case is still in court as the family tried to fight the court case as certain wills were changed and the family was rich. However, due to lawyer fees, court fees, and other taxes, the whole family broke. Now the whole court case is frozen. The properties are all up for sale, but for too much money.
So what happened to the Japanese woman? Well, one of the neighbours down the street explained that she might have moved back to Japan. I highly doubt this because she disgraced her family. Some people have believed that she moved to Switzerland or Canada, but the two German fellows know that she now runs a restaurant in Paris, France.

Oh man what a nightmare. It took 5 years to settle my dad's estate and sell off his properties bc he had inherited them along with some of his cousins. One of the cousins didn't want to sell any of the properties so it became a long drawn out deal with the courts to partition the properties so he could keep some of it and everyone else could sell their shares. I thought 5 years was a nightmare so I can't imagine dealing with that for decades. That family would be better off taking what they can get for the properties and being done with the whole situation. I've seen similar situations where ppl vastly overestimate the value of inherited property and hold on to it for years thinking theyll eventually find a buyer that will offer what they want..all the while the home or homes become dated and eventually dilapidated, further devaluing them. Inheritance is a weird thing that can create a lot of family drama, and even destroy families.

The Family can file claims for their property not to be placed on sale, since the Husband passed away, while his last will is not yet finalized, his Japanese Wife can file a claim, since the materials cost for the property and OVER-ALL maintenance is TAXED, there shouldn't be a tax evasion case to be filed since it is taxed from its construction and completion. It can be reconciled when the immediate family presents themselves as claimants and restore what NEEDS to be restored. The husband might have anticipated as well his property's under warranty from its Suppliers and Developers and that it shouldn't be placed into those types of Case, since more than 2 decades and half that is abandoned, has constituted the amount and the payments made prior to construction and completion in such span of time. Hi everebody, I'm from Italy. This video really make me think about history. This kind of mansion generally refers to Northen and Northern - Eastern Europe architecture (France, Germany ... All the Northen Countries as seen from Italy ). Wooden structures are common from Alpi line to the Northern countries ... They have wooden buildings to protect themselves from the cold.
The letter says (I hope I can make sense): Dear Dad, I wish you a Happy birthday and a Happy new year at the same time. My short letter is a gift, It's not a properly made present, because real gifts are not pieces of paper, but mine one is given with all my heart.

My mum and dad visited Italy back in the 1990's and they described Italy as being beautiful and the people were wonderful. Also mum believed in Italian furniture as it really is well made and lasts so long and is pretty beautiful. What a beautiful mansion and it is always a shame when you see these places abandoned and rotting away it makes me so sad to know that no one cares for these places anymore. Thank you for translating the letters that was cool. You always appreciate everything within these beautiful properties. You have a good heart huni and such a wonderful creator. Just so you know I saw a small key on top of a curtain at the beginning of this video. The curtain was draped over a chair I think so maybe that was the key to the desk?? Stay safe and I bet you had a blast in Italy x

What an absolutely amazing place! It's stunning, everything about it was a feast for the eyes! The stair case was alone a work of art. I wonder what the husband did, or his family. But I didn't get the impression that it was a multi-generational house that spanned over the decades, like many others that size. And it did look like they had only hours to hurry up, pack and leave. I'm sure they must have had a house keeper who stayed behind and not told where they were going. That is a fascinating story. Didn't you take a photo of that letter you wanted to share with us? There used to be a bronze statue of a cherub riding a winged dragon right beside the staircase, books in the bookcases, flowers everywhere that were plastic, more pics on the walls, and lots more furniture even in the kitchen. The beginning of the staircase whole complete not broken like it is now. Even the TV's are different now. I hope that it was the family that took the stuff but don't think it was though. History buffs have dubbed it the "Japanese Villa," and with good reason!
The owners, Cristina and Alberto, were deeply passionate about Japanese culture. Their love for Japan is evident in every detail, from the stunning artwork to the way they decorated their home. They even expanded their family by adopting two children from Japan.
Rumors swirl about the current state of the villa and the reason for its abandonment. Some whispers suggest Alberto built his fortune in Japan through less-than-savory means.
Another theory claims the family fled Italy over a decade ago due to tax fraud, leaving everything behind.

What a beautiful place even with all the decay going on. The staircase and all the beautiful furniture left behind the photo's of the children and the heart breaking letters written by the children. Thank you Dave what a sad story. Take care.

Is it just me, coincidence I'm not sure but it seems like all or most of these homes, mansions are abandoned at Christmas time?! Love the radiator with cabinet. I grew up in an old farmhouse in the states, never saw or had one with a cabinet. But we would put our mittens on them in the winter. Another awesome video Dave!!!😊❤🧡💛💚💜♥️

Wait. At 32:22 what was the newspaper clipping? I am very curious because she took time to clip it and save it in nightstand drawer. And. At 33:14, just a shower at the bottom of stairs seems so very odd.

The way there's still so much belongings and property present makes me feel really deeply. It's not empty like the people packed and moved to a different house. It's left as if they intended to return. Like when you hear about a family experiencing a tragedy while on vacation. But even then, family would normally come and pack up, the property sold to someone else.

Not that it matters but I did watch a lot of videos depicting strange creatures in the woods, called cryptids/alien beings etc, and personally since I am not about to become part of the food chain you would never see me in a forested area like that especially living in the woods - nevertheless it's a beautiful mansion
