- This must have been the strangest place I've ever explored, loved walking around this place seeing the life of a man dealing with Schizophrenia, I did feel sorry for him as it must have been such a bad illness.
But seeing all his talent of art work go to waste his life was like the film normal bates, let me know what you think of the mansion leave a comment x

I really think that if a property is empty for more than five ,ten years ,and no relatives can be found ,the government should be aloud to take them over .They could preserve the antiques ,and perhaps sell the paintings ,and give any profit to charity .It is so sad to see someone's life work to go to waste .
I assume they pay land rates in France, so someone must be paying them, perhaps the house is still in probate or something.
I’ve thought the same thing about a lot of the abandoned homes. I really wish they could find a use/purpose for these beautiful places.

All of the beautiful artwork in the attic . Such a shame it won’t be preserved
The artist was there while you were exploring. I think the toy was his way of telling you that he appreciates the visit and the interest you show in his art and talent. This way he is not forgotten. Either that or some animal hit the button and it went off. I prefer to think it was his way of communicating with you. You do important work and maybe someone will connect with you to save this place from further decay. It's a museum.
I’ve never seen so many paintings in one place. Someone needs to remove them and put in a museum. This is a REAL Shame. Thank you for documenting this. Things decay and fall apart but when you film them it keeps them alive. ❤ 41:52
Oh Dave read please. This just got exciting in the end😉 The painting of the boy w/candle if you were an artist would know it's amazing to see someone else paint it. The original artist was Pier Germani, the Italian artist. Germani was famous for his children paintings. The trouble painting , the one on the left is Rembrandt, the center possibly the father after he passed as the blackened eyes represents absence. The painting on the right is one that helped make Brandon Soloff the famous New York artist, famous. Well, along with his nudes as well. Most amazing artist! So maybe Soloff an this artist were friends.. wait! The photo of the owner and another together actually looks like Soloff! Soloff is also based in Lyon, France as well as NY. Oh it's a connection! So tell me if this all sounds like I've solved a bit of a mystery? And if you go back into history you'll find there are connections to this artist having a family tree of artists. Sweet!
YES! Your absolutely right! What a crying shame.
Love this!!! Poor guy, he was sick and needed help maybe. We never know what people are going through....and so many people are struggling with things. Awesome new video and love you guys!! xx
That's why we should all be kind to each other.
Dave this was a wonderful explore and great video. I love how respectful you are and how loving your heart is. You are a good man and enjoy watching you explore because of how you respect the home and the people of the home you are in. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us and I pray someone will preserve that poor gentleman's beautiful life's work. His artwork was incredible. ❤
As an artist myself his abstract work looked phenomenally good and should be saved..I wonder if there is some way of finding the nearest town or village to this location you visited and contacting the mayor or council to tell them of this wonderful collection of work..I am sure it would not be too difficult to do..just an idea.
THIS is why your youtube work is so important. These people die...and in some cases, like this one, they can be dead for months, or even years, and they don't even have a soul checking on them. YOU bring their story back to life...even if only for a little bit. They were people...they mattered. And I love how respectful you are as you tell the story of their life through your video. Because without somebody's words-there is no story. And then it feels so pointless....so thank you for what you are doing. I think it is SO important.
I wish someone could tell me, why can't these things be saved before they rot?! 🤔
It makes no sense to me.
Thank you for documenting this home.
💜❤️💜❤️😉
One yr later bad omen
People who don’t live according to society’s rules, I find very interesting. As long as they harm no one, why shouldn’t they live the way they choose. This was an amazing exploration- your videos are fantastic! Thanks a bunch for bringing me along! 😊❤
Oh- as far as rumors, they say there’s only a small part of rumors that are true. But don’t they make such interesting intriguing stories! 😉😊
The attic - all those drawings and paintings, those came from his mind! I would’ve loved to sat and talked with him for an hour or two. 🙃
Thanks!
Thank you so much xx
He was a very intelligent man, he a great artist, I hate that all of his belongings are still there going to waste
Happy Birthday! Wow! I can't imagine how many hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of art work has been left! I hope it gets saved!
I think the owner touched it to let you know he is there and he appreciates the fact your respecting his home and his art work
WAS THAT LAST ROOM ON TOP W/ CHAINED DOOR & WIGS WHERE HE KEPT HIS MOMS BODY???
Doesn't look like anyone had respect for this place. His artwork is surrounded by junk. 🙃🤣 I'm sure whatever ancestors passed this down to someone, are rolling over in their graves over the neglect of it. Plain rude. So sad.
@@matildagreene1744 Maybe he had no living relatives, or the property could still be in probate.
Why do you think that I ' ' quoted the word junk ? It's sarcasm. I could see his treasures. Old is treasured in some countries and cultures. In others, it's left abandoned. My home is filled with 'junk' 😘@user-uw5my3xm1j
you explore for the same reason i watch you: a story that needs to be told. Thank you for bringing us these finds! What a gem and yet a shame, being a student of the arts, I admire what youve found! Amazing! Thank you!!
You are one of the very few abandoned explorers who go above and beyond. I can just feel how passionate you are about this. Thank you so much Dave for this most amazing and heartfelt video I have watched in a while. btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂❤️💕
100 💯 ❤
That was quite the amazing place but what I really like is you at the end narrating a little bit about the place I think you should do that with every video
I really find your videos to be so peaceful. Not only do you capture these time capsules in such a way... its also very relaxing - sort of ASMR'ish lol. Thanks for what you do.
Great explore Dave, this place has a lot to say about the electic lifestyle he lived with his parents. It is too bad that no one will or can save the paintings there. They could sell all the paintings and use that to fund the restoration of the building itself. It would take a while but would be worth it in the end. Have a great day.
Great video. Also very sad and poignant. A very stark reality check to many of us. The material things that matter to us are really nothing when we are gone. As the old saying goes 'you can't take it with you.'
Dave, this is one of your best videos. Incredible! The art work, omg. It makes me so sad to see this. All the antiques just going to ruin. How you do this....I do not know, but keep it up, please.
I love how excited you are describing how much you love exploring & because of your passion we get to see some amazing houses. I can't believe how much art work there is just abandoned. Found Poppy on the stairs lol. Watching from Chesterfield, Derbyshire @ 18:30 xx
Wow the guy was very talented, surely a museum would like to save him collection? What an awesome explore, take care and thank you for sharing 👍👏❤️
as an artist this place is fabulous .. how sad we cant save all his work... id love to have a place like this... thank you for the wonderful explore you stay safe! much love from a fan in eastern oregon
If walls could talk, no telling what they would tell that happened in this house. Thanks for sharing! Happy Belated Birthday and many more!🎂🎉🎈
Happy birthday son my youngest is20on 14 had him at45 great story xnanapollyx Scotland ☮️🙏🌌🍻🎂🍨🥰🏴
this story is similar to the famous Bates Hotel movie, he too was obsessed with his mother. You said you didnt want to give away the address of this place for fear it would get trashed... i think its a bit too late for that. looks like a lot of explorers or just curious have been there trashing and looking for something of value. this guy sure loved painting. Its not to my taste, but plenty of others would love his work. thanks for showing us another great explore, in France.
Love this creepy old house, there's just so much stuff. Unbelievable ❤
I’ve watched videos much like this where the person was an artist. None like this one. He surrounded himself with his work more than he sold it from the feel. It’s like a peek into his psyche. He was definitely a medium mutt as I call it. Meaning he creates art from everything and puts his heart into his creations. (Like I do) To a certain extent, I think when I pass away, my surroundings will probably be like this. I loved your walk through but wanted you to linger a bit more in certain areas lol. Well done and the happiest of birthday to you. Have a virtual round on me!!
🍸🥃🍹🍻🧉🥂🍷🍺🍾🫖
WOW......
So much is lost . Such a sad ordeal. And those paintings and such need to be in a museum or something.
I’ve seen this lovely house before... how heartbreaking to end your life and nobody wants to save your art, your old home, everything that mattered to you! 🥺
The handwritten book you showed has several entries starting with “chers parents”... “dear parents”, followed by descriptions of what little things he did that day: it looks like the kind of letters kids in boarding school would write to their parents. 😕
Hey Dave aww ya still got poppy! ❤ Sad story. ..creepy pic but wow! Awsom.
He seemed very eccentric, but a very clever man ,if walls could talk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The cruel and harsh realities of life. Another great doc. Cheers.
I admire your respect for people’s homes. I love the way Mother Nature takes back what once belonged to her. I have much respect for you and what you do. Thank you for sharing the beauty.
My late mother was a single mom, a struggling artist and raised me an only child the best she could. She told me once that your never noticed until your gone. I have one picture she painted of a horse that my grandmother gave me before she died. There is a picture my mother painted of Indian's on the Pascagoula river in town hall in Moss point, Ms. That she ONLY was paid $200.00 for in 1974. So yes.. I always believed her.😊❤️🐇
So very sad to see all the beautiful painting decaying. so many memories left behind, photos of family members and friends just to rot away. Saw poppy at 26:44. Awesome video Stay Safe. Love all your exploring adventures. Take Care ❤X
That was an incredible house full of wonderful treasures - what an amazingly talented man. You said you filmed this a year or two ago - do you think any of these things could have been saved? So, so sad that a life's work is just left abandoned and unloved. Gill 🇬🇧
Wow! What an unusual place with so much artwork. I love how caring you are about everywhere you visit and I love how you recreate the life of this guy who lived here. That clown toy making the noise was kinds weird, maybe the guy was watching u and wanted to let you know his spirit is still there. Keep up the brilliant explores Dave and stay safe xx
I remember this Dave but it’s still nice to see it again ,what a weirded man .The art an books ornaments are amazing, enjoyed it dave stay safe lv Ann uk ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
What a beautiful home. I'm glad it hasn't been ransacked. I too love old bottles
Even the art he collected is outstanding. His work is a reflection of his beautiful, disturbed mind, Very driven and a lover of bright colors! Maybe someone can make an an anonymous call to a museum to have art authorities check it out. Thanks, Dave. Another great find.
Dave those were truly amazing paintings! It's so sad 😭 that they will never be seen and appreciated.
4956 I saw your duck. Such a beautiful home. It's so sad that on your exploring that all this stuff just rotting away. I so love you taking me along on your adventures. Love you loads be safe. Hi Marky. 💕
This house has a special energy. Happy Belated Birthday.❤❤❤
Wow! So very humbling! Puts everything in perspective. Thank you for the insight your exploration has shown.
30:40 really touching gesture. Thank you x
Incredible find. Thank you Dave.
I have never got an uneasy feeling from any of your videos. That is until now. The very moment you stepped across the threshold I got this odd feeling that something just is not right in that house.
I Loved this one ❤ Thank you for taking me on a trip 😊
I saw the cute little duck at 26:44 on the stairs, it made me smile that was fun! This place was amazing I really wish I could do what you do it makes me so happy to see this through your eyes.
❤️ Your excitement sentiment & respect you show in every explore!
This was such an amazing find. When you were up in the loft, I had this deja vu vibe goin on like I’d seen this place before when you were up in the loft amongst all those tables with all of that artwork. Loved it when you bent down and said about imagining the window open and you’re drawing. That’s something you are so darn great at doing. Loved your duck on the stairs, had it not been red, I wouldn’t have known. That toy going off across the room, that really made me uneasy, so creepy. Thank you for sharing and as always, stay safe ❤
I love how you just brush off the paranormal stuff like the toy going off and noises etc
It's heartbreaking to think all that beautiful artwork will rot, it can't be given to a museum . That's amazing artwork.
WOW. That artwork! ❤️❤️
I seen this one when you first explored .His art was amazing . The art in the loft space is heartbreaking so wish someone saves before it's lost forever .I know you sometimes revisit places please add this one to your list just hope someone restores & saves his art . Loved this one Dave thanks 💖
28:44 Ducky on the stairs, Awesome explore , so much life’s work decaying away.
That's a sad story the house is so beautiful and thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us
What an amazing house so much books and paintings its a shame that they will just rot away stay safe xx
Loving 🥰 this exploration.
Duckie found @ 26:45 .
His paintings should go to a museum, if not what waist.
27:08 hanging out on the step. This was a creepy sad one but done with great respect as always.
He looks to have been a contemporary artist, very abstract. I would imagine all the paintings and sketches in the attic and scattered all over the house that are more traditional are pieces that he bought and collected. He certainly didn't seem to be at a loss for money. Hope the paintings and drawings will be rescued.
Wow. So much history and so many memories in everything left behind for someone.
Happy birthday to the best explorer.
Blessings for another year of safe exploration!!!! ❤️🐇🌼🌷
The tool hung up is a tiller, used to cut through soil.
Wow incredible place, so much fantastic art. Such a shame it all just sits to rot. Thankyou for sharing and allowing us to see this very eclectic talented man's work..✌
ahh that was one of your best finds dave .fasinating stuff he had there i would love to know his personality thanks again for showing this video i love what you do ..
This was my favorite place ever! Such a shame it is all just being ruined. Why would no one preserve all that work? You did a great job, absolutely loved this video. 👏
Looks fascinating as per usual for your channel 👏 Going 👀 in now.... Rich 🇬🇧
I remember that toy it freaked me out lol after that long noo way it should have worked much less gone off on its own like that, i will say he led a very strange life lol but as long as he was happy lol its sad to see his work just rotting away like that wow, thank you again dave !
Very prolific artist.Felt he was showing you about. He even pressed the button on the toy clown to make his presence known.Happy birthday.Stay safe look after yourself .Thankyou.
It is so sad that all those drawings, paintings, etc., are just left there to rot. I would love to have some of those pieces. What a sad shame, but thank you for taking the time to show it to the world. God Bless! 😮😢❤
Hi Dave, you are a very good explorer and I find myself watching more and more of your videos. The amount of art in there was mind-blowing and I totally agree with you about the lack of relatives taking care of it 😪
I am so jealous of you being able to travel to these beautiful destinations and show all of us the beauty of these places through your eyes. You are my absolute favorite explorer to watch. If only I could do this type of thing but my 4 wheeled walker would never allow me. Have a Happy Birthday 🥳🎂🎉🎈and GOD BLESS YOU🥰
You should have a hidden object video game made with puzzles in it
highlighting some of your favorite finds
Hi Dave, Wow this was some Great Artist & Lifestyle as well!! Too Bad the village doesn`t try to find the Relatives or
Give his Paintings to a Museum & sell the house! Shut the windows if you can to Preserve what is inside!!
I counted 4 elephants included in house & barn! Lots of Paintings in the house, the attic, the basement, the barns & the Hippy van!!
At 26.44 the little red AWE Duck sits on the steps!! As for that Little Duck, 🦆 Here in Illinois, if You Own a Jeep Vehicle, someone
will place one on your Windshield & asks you to Pass It On, I kept Mine haha!!
This was a different kind of Abandoned House, was Very Interesting!! Plus I would rather be found Dead in Bed, that in the Yard!
Be careful & stay safe, Love you loads from Central Illinois America 🥰😎❤
Just amazing! This one is by far the best abandoned home video I have seen yet! Love your passion as well! Thank you for sharing!
Oh another one, that we saw before
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you 🎉🎉
Hi Dave, been a while since I've been here! A very interesting house! It does put me in mind of Norman Bates. The Psycho book and the movie! Woof! According to what I understand, Norman had been practicing taxidermy. That is believed to be the method he kept his mother around as long as he had. Mama was mentally ill herself!
Great explore! So much stuff left behind and all that wonderful art please someone rescue it before it's too late !
Hi Dave, this was a great video, what a shame it is that his paintings are being eaten away by mother nature. I saw a few strange things as I was watching, I need to go back and look again, that toy going off was creepy for sure. Thanks for showing us. Love from N.Y.
That toy runs on battery but when you turned it over there was no battery! Spirits love to do things like that!
You might get answers if you used a spirt box.
Another stunning place Dave, does make me sad it’s all forgotten
This is an amazing exploration!!!!! A bit creepy, along with beauty. I'm going to have to watch it over and over so I can catch everything. The toy that just started playing by itself!!!!! Make sure you put the chain back on that door!!! Thanks for taking us along. ❤
Absolutely brilliant WELL DONE you have a beautiful soul so much compassion to the people who are no longer living in these abandoned buildings that were once filled with laughter and happiness and love it's sad to see everything just decaying Bless you 🙏 and your team 🙏✌️🙏☮️💖❤️
As always brilliant video, but sad to see all the artwork abandoned like that, hopefully someone will step in and save it , we’ll done Dave.
I’m an artist as well as a cat lover. His work is so good that it hurts my heart to see his work just rot away. I wished I could contact his next of kin and broker a deal with them. I would be heartbroken if my work was left to rot away. I put my soul into my paintings.
I’m also an Empath and he’s still there hoping that someone will save some of his paintings. He’s a kind soul. I would be in there for literally days going through his paintings and be so content.
By the way, he doesn’t appreciate you looking through his writings. Not sure but I think it’s private stuff. I think it’s about his lover. At the 37:00 mark, he’s getting angry. The room with the chain is where a lot of crazy stuff happened. Don’t want to soil this man’s reputation but he was a bit wild.
I know you have no clue who I am however here in my area, everyone knows how honest I am. Cheers, Linda
I love cats also so with u on that one, and it is a shame about his work
@@AWE83 I just wished I could find who owns the home and maybe work something out with them on his work but I don’t have a clue on where to begin. Also, not sure if you realize it but you are most definitely a sensitive. One sensitive can usually spot another one pretty easily. I noticed you have a PO Box. I’m going to send you a crystal to wear to help protect you. Do you usually have vivid dreams? And, you are a cat person which most sensitives are. Good luck and stay safe. If I pick up on any history on your videos, I’ll share.
I as well!
Beautiful thanks for coming these places ❤
Wow such amazing Art work! Such a shame that it's all sitting there rotting to the elements. Dave you do such an amazing job with all your explores and you tell such an amazing story with all. He was letting you know that he was with you, when the toy played. So sad how he was found. What an incredible artist he was. I love all of your videos. Thanks for all of your explores, I always look forward to watching them . Keep up the amazing work! Stay safe out there ❤
Great video very creepy up in the loft the toy went of on its own . happy birthday to you have a great one.stay safe.xx.
Finally found this usually on Facebook 😊 got you on UA-cam excited
What a fabulous place and much respect to how you present it !! showing respect for the previous owners belongings!! We wont be seeing you wearing their cloths for laughs and likes. Bless yi !! good man.
Wow what a fab place loads of interesting things to see shame all his art work is left some lovely stuff left
David, you speak so eloquently. Love your videos!
Just watched this makes me so sad. Do you know if someone claimed it yet and saving all the paintings ? Can you update us if they have ? You do a fantastic job keep it up. Xx
Unbelievable what a history of someone's whole life. Sad to see it left to its fate.
😢so sad how that effect him so badly with he's mental Health nice seeing a pop up video of yours hope you all the well wish for you Dave 🙏 ❤ 💙 ♥ 💜 💕 🙏.............
Such beautiful art going to waste in this place. That was creepy that toy going off. Nice long video, I like those ones. Thanks for sharing.
Such an awesome explore. Such a great artist
