@@AnglerUpTv One thing you might consider adding is your viewing of the underwater footage on your GoPro. I know you already show us the video and narrate what we are looking at, but I always wondered if you didn’t see the footage until you got back home or if you were able to watch it right after you pull up your GoPro. I only recently found out from someone that you can watch it on site either on the GoPro if you have the right version, or by connecting it to your phone. It wouldn’t be necessary to make that a long clip on your video because it would be boring, but just so viewers without a GoPro would be able to see how/when you are able to watch the footage. Also, have you ever used or seen anyone else use one of those video cameras with a monitor that attaches to your rod so you can watch the footage in real time? If so, is the quality of the footage decent or far below that you get on your GoPro? I ask because it is a less expensive option and watching in real time would be nice. Some versions have the ability to record the footage as well.
Always always always be sure to wet your fisherman knots!!!! If you don't the heat from the friction as you tighten it can massively decrease the strength of the line! Not sure if you just didn't show it or not but that could've caused the break off
I never knew that. Great tip. So just dip your line in the water and then tie the knot on your hook or other tackle?
Just ditch that mono lol
Go Go GoPro. I love seeing fish in their natural environment.🙂
Great video Brant! Love the pier drops, pretty cool to see what’s down there.
Thanks for sharing!
Love the go pro drops. I will always watch them.
Love it Brant!!!
Appreciate it
Your videos are fun to watch. Thanks
Fond memories at the octagon at the end of the pier. We had many pelicans tease us at the cleaning/wash stations and rails wanting bait or scraps for appetizers. They’d come to within 3’ to 4’ .
Yes on the "GoPro Drop"! 👍🏼
These are my two year old son’s favorite videos on UA-cam 😂
I'm 16 and they're my favorite❤😂
Raise em right
I'm not your 2 year old son!?..😂 👍

Me too, little grand buddy.
When I was about 5 yo in the early 70s, my father caught a huge bull shark off of a pier in Clearwater,FL. He used a live stingray. The rod was one of those Tuna Stopper poles with a reel to match. I have a newspaper clipping that has him posing with it. ✌️
Great show,,I love the go pro. Shots,,
outstanding.....cheers from florida, Paul
Great video! Loved the GoPro. Water wasn't as clear but still cool. Thanks, Brant!
The cam was the best part! More Brant cam!
Hey Brant! Another Great Adventure Of The Under Sea World Of Jacque Cousteau. Love These Videos!
I love the go pro drops! Very cool.
Loved the fishing and the camera drop parts.
I used to go to the long City Pier at Panama city Beach and catch blue fish all night. One of my favorite fish to catch.
Love the go pro drops!!!!!
Always like the underwater go pro stuff. My sons and I enjoy all your videos.
Love the vids!! And love catching bluefish. Learned after many casts with no hook ups that they're very aggressive hunters and the faster the bait tries to get away, the more interested they are. Cast and reel like hell, will catch em till your arms are sore!
Appreciate it
Honestly I’ve never seen specs on an underwater camera! Trout are really amazing fish. I often catch them on live shrimp and 20lb floro. I often catch overslot specs when fishing for snook in inlets. When I started fishing in salt water I caught one in tampa that measured 26” and thought it was just a normal catch till I showed the locals and they were shocked. I found a new found respect for these fish when realizing that they rarely grow to the size of slot snook and are very secluded in their nature. Definitely a crazy species to catch on camera! Keep up the crazy content!
Hey Brant! Great video! What do you look for in a rod and reel as a dedicated pier setup?
New subscriber. I came for the go pro drops mainly! I love seeing what's in the water!!
Love the drops!!
I bought a go pro because of your videos. Adding it to my weapons of fishing from drones to kites and now go pros. Thanks for the videos
Can’t get enuf of the thrilling u/w GoPro action! Thanx!
That’s where my honeymoon was spent. Back in 84. We stayed right next to the pier and loved the oyster sandwich from the restaurant on the pier.
Sounds like you're eating seeds again 🤣 😂 👍
Love your videos, would love to be able to have places like that to fish, but ks has all muddy lakes with debrie that I'd always managed to snag. I love the gopro drops and fishing videos. I am not familiar with alot of the fish you catch like reds or bait fish spots etc..I am just curious as well on the types of fish, due to the fact I enjoy eating fish all but catfish. I especially love saltwater fish and when you say one is good to eat I want to know what it is. Yes I'm a rn and sometimes I want things very specific lol. Oh love the videos of you and your wife cooking your catch too
I grew up pier fishing, my Grandparents had a Condo at Jax Beach and I stayed with them every weekend. The pier was like that one it had a restaurant and a game room/pool tables but I was always fishing!
Keep dropping the GoPro. Great stuff !
Yup digging the go pro drops definitely some pretty cool fish out there Definitely a challenge landing fish on pier also Those blue fish are Awesome to catch snapper blues we call them up here in New England real fun to catch Well till next time Let the fish Catching be plentiful
Really liked this video all those reds and trout underneath the Pier oh my gosh
I have found that the specks like a Rapala Blue/Silver minnow 07-09 model about 3.5 in. that runs about 5 to 10 feet. Use to catch them around the docks at NAS and near Ft. Pickens. Fun fish
The variety of fish there is amazing!
Nice! Do you use loop knots on your artificial’s?
I love the go pro drops!
Try the palomar knot for your lures...it's better when using florocarbon leader.
Bigger Blues will chomp right through a mono leader. We use steel leaders when into Bluefish.
Bluefish ARE good eating, albeit a little oily. The first fish I ever caught surfcasting was an eight-pound blue. My dad was so proud of me for landing it on a beach full of his fishing buddies that he shook my hand. 😆The best part of the bluefish is the cheek because they're such voracious feeders. You can fillet the cheeks out and grill them or saute them like scallops.
So impressed with the GoPro drops!!
Those trout were absolutely stunning -- and they're apparently very clever about not getting caught. 😅 What I'm curious about is if those blue fish are, as my grandpa would say, "good eatin'"...and if they are, what's the taste/texture like? There's not too many fish I don't like eating, but tuna and mackerel are up there on the "not too fond of" list. 😅
Go Pro Videos Rock!!!
Love the go pro video
First, the paint guy in me cringed when you let the lure drop on side of your truck. Of course, the abused truck owner I am was proud to see it! Haven't been to the ocean in a couple years, and think it's time for a vacation 😁✌️
Really enjoy the GoPro videos. You should get a heavy-duty rod/reel and rig a GoPro to some sort of homemade tripod. You might even find a way for the camera to turn 360 degrees on its stand if done right. Great video!
They make 360 view go pros
Love the go pro. Love that you were at that pier. I am thinking about the pier or the beach Saturday and Sunday. Then pennsacola beach on the 13th.
Do they allow night fishing on the piers down there?
@@jimmyfumbanks6081 I think so. I am from Texas on the way to Florida. Stopping off for a day
I’ll be there tomorrow!! 🎣 ⚾️
With my luck jacks don’t eat nlbn’s very often. Pretty rare when they do compared to other lures
Possible interesting factoid for you……What you call “Blue Fish” where you are we here in Australia call “Tailor” or “Taylor” due to their razor sharp teeth (akin to Tailors scissors) and their predatory practice of attacking their prey at the tail end. Considered a good table fish here too.
What lure would you recommend for Okaloosa pier in June?
great videos
Love the go pro. Show mor
Gopro drops are awesome!
Hey Brant. Love the content and the underwater footage. I’ve been wondering why you and Camera Man Ron aren’t making content together?
Real estate eh? I’ve been missing Florida, went to high school there while Dad was in the Navy. Still have friends and some family scattered about the state. We also lived in Long Beach, Mississippi/Biloxi in early days….
I love the GoPro drops.
How u attach the go pro without loosing it?
When I was a young boy we used to go to Florida from Ohio on Vacation. Used to swim in the ocean. After a couple years of that I got a pair of goggles and was shocked at all the little fish swimming around my legs when I was swimming. Shocked. 😂
How close to this pier are you allowed to get with a boat? Those "spots" are very popular off of piers in Myrtle Beach. I personally would only use them for bait though. Another great video.
I would stay far away .At least out of the range of a pistol . I was on a Cat out there years back and seemed to be far away, but we could see the people on the pier were really upset while waving at us to get away.
Them spot Croaker everything good bait. Reds trout offshore grouper big Mangrove flounder wish I knew where it was a pile of them at so I could get a whole Live Well full
Gulf Shores is a cool place. I went to a festival there.
Question: When you drop the go pro, are you monitoring the video in real time, or are you reviewing the video back home and narrating what you saw? Thank you.
Reviewing then comments.
Like the Go Pro looks.
I hate that pier is gone. Spent many summers in my youth on vacay fishing there…😢
I would do anything to get on those specs. ❤
Dang you make me want to go fishing.
Light like and a small free line croaker
He's dipping again😅😅😅
Crappin pier basically is abandoned lol. Last I heard it'll at least be November until they start the repairs.
Bluefish vs. Blue Runner? I know there is a difference but still difficult for me.
Any luck catching the sheeps this time of year, I’m going to be in destin in about a week
Snapper season!!!!
Never been this early before! Does Brant reply?
Hey
@@AnglerUpTv Would have been way better if your reply was just "No"! 😄
Here on the Texas coast we can't see the fish in the muddy water.
I wonder why those trout are hard to catch years ago I was in Tampa and we was catching them all afternoon and night I think we was using live shrimp
Amen
Thought you weren’t gonna have sun flower seeds in lo😂l
Trout in saltwater? Wow
👍👍👍
A guy who sells real estate makes fishing videos, there’s a symmetry don’t you think 😊
Watch your fingers around blue fish and use wire leaders
Isnt it hot af down there? Why are yall wearing hoodies? 😂😅
Matthew could go early am an get them on topwater gear😂
underwater drone nest?
next
When you see schools of fish breaking the surface and milling around, they are usually in mating mode. They don’t often stop their orgy to eat. I’ve even trolled through schools of fish only to hook one in the side, he didn’t bite the bait. Not a hard and fast rule, just an observation.
Throw the cast net
Bro, you own a tackle store.
What does that mean?
like go pro drops
If they charge for fishing, the money should be invested in repairing and insuring the peer.
And we was on a pier
McDonald's rig would kill-em.
Nasi Bosku 😊
I want your life!!
Is just me but that sounds like you got chewing tobacco in your mouth lol
Who abandons a pier
Fried spot sandwich is delicious. But they’ve gotta be true pan sized. I used to catch them and croaker commercially.
which piers is it brant?
Now that is the redneck way of loading rods in your truck 😅. Don't lose the seeds.
