Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. You gave me a huge light bulb moment with the glyphosate discussion. I've been removing food from my can eat list for several years now, testing periodically to see if it can be added back in. I avoid processed foods, eating whole foods that are nutrient dense. I'm currently avoiding dairy and watching saturated fat to see about changing my cholesterol numbers. But am really hating eating this way, as I've tended to more carnivore the past several years now. Anyway, one of the biggest things I have noticed is my reaction to store bread, compared to my reaction to home made sourdough with organic flour. The way I feel, the way my body reacts, it's like night and day in difference. I hadn't figured out why yet, but this completely makes sense. I grew up on a farm, surrounded by corn and soy bean fields, which were sprayed at least a couple of times a year. That's when I found out I had developed a compromised immune system. Have spent a good portion of my life trying to keep that all in check. I'm almost 50...and hoping what I'm doing is my best. This is definitely something else I will be watching, thanks for that! ☺️

Kate, I would recommend a hair mineral analysis and check your heavy metals. I went through Wendy Myers for my HTMA and it changed my life, and probably saved my life. Also the book "the iodine crisis" by Lynne Farrow. Those things have a lot to do with the body getting parasites. Hope you get completely better!!

I love how you adjust recipes to use what you have on hand or that simply needs using. Also, the baking of other things while you have the oven going. I tried, oh, how I tired, to teach this to my children. However, they've moved to the city and actually do very little cooking, let alone conserve on anything. Hopefully, if times ever get bad, they'll remember some of what they were taught. I absolutely love your videos!

I have problems with glyphosate too, a lot of grains I can only eat organic but not regular.

Living on a farm doesn’t mean you get worms. I think that was an unkind statement. They can come from a lot of reasons. Farms are one of the best places to raise kids. I’m so thankful that I grew up on a farm and my kids for most of their childhood.

I grew up on a farm and raised my children on a farm. I was not being unkind but realistic. My children all had worms and had to be treated for them and the doctors associate it with the animal droppings . I'm very sorry if it came across unkind, that's the last thing I want to do to anyone because I love Jesus Christ and I want to always show His love in me.

Kids get dirt under their fingernails which can have eggs in them from the worms and these can actually be in any dirt. It’s true there might be more opportunity on farms due to kids being outside more, scrabbling in the earth. What a great way to grow up though!

Have you checked into Einkorn? It’s an ancient grain that a lot of homesteaders seem to be switching too. They say that it tastes the best and those that have a hard time like you can actually eat it because it wasn’t modified.
Yes I baked with einkorn. It’s just expensive with this many people to feed

I use lentils for sprouts to feed my chickens during winter, only takes 3-4 days. My girls love'em, fresh greens!

I just loved this video!! Kate, you are just so down to earth. I like all of your videos but this one just was a top one for me. Why? I don't know but I do alot of what you do....baking sourdough bread, I do grind my own wheat, buy milk w/cream as I can from a small dairy and do almost all cooking from scratch. Can't wait to see your grain mill working. I've had mine for close to 50 years!! Love you and your family. Blessings to you.

Totally doing your #cookfromyourstash/#pantrychallenge. I dont have milk cows but I am trying to cut my grocery bill at least in half for as long as I can. Really helps not to have to buy meat or eggs any more.
About time to get cold weather greens and radishes started in a hoop house soon. Got my sweet potatoes started for slips too. Garden plan is almost done. So ready for the snow and ice to be done *she says as there is an ice storm going outside*.

Funny fact, split peas are just field peas that farmers are docked on and resold as split peas. Mung beans, not sure if they are grown in BC, but they are wonderful used to make kitchari (helps gut during gastrointestinal bugs).

There is a huge connection between parasites and cancer.
A few in the family have wheat gluten issues. We buy flour from SunRise flour mill in Minnesota. No gluten issues at all for us.

You might be onto something there!
Glyphosate was originally developed as an antibiotic, and it is a strong antibiotic. Consuming it may be killing your gut bacteria and cause digestion issues.

Glyphosate was patented as an herbicide in 1971 it wasn’t until 2010 that it was patented as an antibiotic. It’s original use was as a descaling cleaner to remove calcium in hot water systems…

Oh boy the best I can say is try the internet or ask around. I learned about it from a friend.

Dunno if u ever heard of chlorine dioxide solution or MMS or CDS are other names for it. But I use a few drops of this medicinally as well as to soak produce. So a few drops in the water I’m soaking it in before adding the vinegar. CDS/MMS denatures glyphosate. So when I can’t get organic I use this product.

Then flour, 1/2 cup flour, egg, 3 Tbsp oil add milk to make medium dough really mix well really well pour in a hot greased iron skillet bake at high temperature 375- 400 for 25-30 minutes I hope you try Ky cornbread 😊

Worms and what not is more common then you think in the USA it's just if you live on a farm. Changing your diet to the perfect one for your tapeworm is a lot harder than in the city. Plus, actually taking a test and doing something about it isn't part of "normal" thought patterns. But in places in India and stuff like that people still deworm every couple of years.
If you have the tapeworm. More than likely everyone has the tapeworm. Same for pigs and so forth. It's why solid bedding. Deep bedding/that gets turned, along with rotational grazing is so important. Not leaving things on "dirt" if you can avoid it. Hygiene is kind of everything because what can happen is it ruins your guts. To the point where they have to take out part of your guts later on in your life. If you are surrounded by trees use them and plant more. (willow can be feed off to livestock and also mulched). And you have a day that they do milling. You can use the branches to make mushrooms after the mushroom branches are spent you can also use it for woodchips in that pasture you keep the cows in. Deep bed it then turn it from time to time and you just keep adding more and more every year and turn it. Then about 2ish years in or so you can use a loader or by hand and take it all out. But oddly enough you can keep filling more wood chips in for longer then you think as long as you stir it up. Add fresh woodchips on top.

Parasitic infection is a symptom of copper deficiency (and possibly manganese as well).I got a Beef tapeworm infection from raw milk (among other commercial beef products fully cooked/charred.) that affected my right knee (yes, they can embed into your joints), muscles, and ANY organ, not just intestines. Essentially, any animal deficient in copper ( including you), allows them to have varying degrees of a live parasitic loads. Some die from fully cooking, others do not. Supplment your soil, your animals, and or yourself with copper to decrease parasitic succeptibility. See Natural sheep care by Colby, or other livestock manuals by her. Frequency therapy and NIR Sauna ( homemade) can also kill off parasites. Detox takes quite long depending on the load. Killing em off is quite easy compared to the detox time of amm the ammonia and parasite bodies. Parasitic is much more common in US adults, than anyone wants to admit. Leads to pain and serious disease. Glad you overcame it.

Its simply 4 chick brooder bulbs ( the red bulbs), arranged ina diamond pattern, on a wood plywood board from lowes/ home depot. You just sit in front of it for 15 to 20 min at a time. See DL Wilsons sauna book at a m a zon and sauna space dot come and mosel it after their cheaper panel ( dimensions). Tapeworms are easy to kill. More complicated to detox their particles and ammonia out of your body. EVEN more of a task to continually kill em in your food, before you consume em. Seems most commercially produced, ( not grass fed) has tapewoms that you cannot kill with heat. Takes 60 min treatment under the NIR bulb...
Bison meat seems to be the least parasite ridden, no strongyloides either. Pretty clean!

i notice that your freezer lid needs to be propped open. If you completely defrost the freezer - including the lid. A lot of ice will thaw out of the lid. It should spring open and stay on its own -unless the spring is shot. My old freezer had that very problem. Thawing did the trick.

Started watching some videos you have put out, stumbled on this one and remembered why I quietly unsubscribed and left.
You know how a sonogram works I assume? It uses sound and vibration as it bounces off objects in the body to produce a picture of what's happening inside the body, harmlessly.
If this person taking your money has convinced you that they have found a way to use sound to kill parasites in your gut, without destroying your intestines and skin in the process... I'm sorry modern medicine has let you down. It's letting a lot of people down quite frankly. But then are soooo many snake oil salesman ready to take advantage of those desperate for relief and they are monsters because they steal and lie and take advantage of gaining sick people's trust.
I am a two time two type cancer survivor. I've been through horrible chemo poisoning and radiation.. not to even mention having 3 kids and severe autoimmune disease now. I'm telling you, you aren't full of worms and you're being ripped off. Delete and block me if you don't want to hear that... but I hate seeing such a kind soul being treated badly. I hope you find real non-placebo fix for your health issues. There are doctors who look at your years of symptoms and figure out what disease processes seem to be going on instead of just throwing medicine at each individual issue. 🙃
